I feel like Jeremy Wray singlehandedly set the tone for what street skating would be for years to come with this part. Way ahead of his time. Mind-blowing part...
25 year later this part still holds its thrill. I remember putting in the VHS tape sitting with my hommies back in the 90's jaw dropping from the first run's finale. Been on and off skating ever since to my 40's. From time to time I go to the Sk8park and 3flip a gap, muscle memory an amazing thing! Its kind of sad but comforting how the skateboarding scene had changed or better say evolved - It has become industrialized and materialistic in a way BUT (and it's a big but) more kids are now able to skate more freely and older ppl like me can find a safe zone to skate in ! Peace and Love to all you skaters out there Dr C.S Israel
I am 43, I had this on VHS which I got from Palo Alto Toy and Sport, like a toy store with a skate shop room in the back, the only skateshop at the time close and it was in Palo Alto, obviously. But I watched this so many times, and the way it lines up with Cream's White Room song is perfect. They edited it well. Probably my favorite part of all time. The Hubba part was outstanding. We used to see Phil Shao there and skated with him a few times.
Man he could do every trick that mattered on everything. 360 flip, F/S Flip, F/S 360. When you think F/S 360, you think Jeremy Wray. Still remember that insane building to building ollie he did. Damn.
I remember as if it was yesterday when Plan B dropped the JWray part. We were so mindblown, he'd set the bar up so high with his skating. That first line where he FS 180 flips carsbad gap - we nearly puked when we saw that. When i was skating that gap i wouldn't even dare to ollie it :) Can't believe this has been 18 years ago. Times goes by so fast. Back then there was no Redbull/Rockstar/Nike SB and SL shit - call me bitter and old (38 years of age now, been skating since i was 12 and still skate as much as possible to this day) but 90's street skating scene was so different than todays. Back then we were causing ruckuz and society despised us, nowadays they talking about making skateboarding a discipline in the olympics and pro skaters with bis ass endorsement deals wearing Redbull beanies looking goofy. Thanks for posting this part, brought back many fond memories. ps: don't sweat my grammar, english isn't my mother tongue.
strobo lazer I hear ya man. Fuckin way she goes. All you can do is pass on the knowledge and hope for the future man. Most of the kids at the park don't even know who Mr.Wray is.
I used to see this skate video every single day.. Jeremy Wray & Rodney Mullen were just insane in those days.. it makes you wanna go skate every time.. P.s has anyone ever see where Jeremy sets his front foot on the board before he kickflips or does a 360 flip.. thats just crazy.. how can he flick the boards??? Master!
Jeremy Wray definatley deserves a SOTY...his skating in 94 is what people aspire to look like in 2012...total visionary, ollie master, and gfreat person
It's ironic that his 360 of Santa Monica and the roof gap ollie somehow overshadowed just how well rounded and technical he was for his time. What a fantastic trailblazer.
Def one of the all time best parts! I used to watch this every morning before school and eat two pop tarts. This vid and The New Deal, useless wooden toys
+Gotoftheyear I would think his crazy foot positioning look like they dont move because he is skating a 7.5 deck. Hard to see foot placement on such a small board but that was the popular size then. Funny how things go full circle as bigger boards are coming out. Roll forever
Definitely one of my favourite skaters. And for sure this part was light years ahead of its time. Manically fast, with mega pop, skateboarding doesn’t get better than this..!
Man his heel flips have so much pop and buttery at that..all Hail Jeremy Wray..🤘great vid..I remember this when it came out his skating holds up even today..
That classroom in the thumb nail was my junior year typing class in 1989. LOL!!!!! Brings back memories. It was the period right before lunch and you would sometimes hear someone bombing down the sidewalk right before the bell rang to get one hit down the gap or rail before they melted into the crowd to avoid security. That shit was shiny and new. RIP
+Suicide_King The good ol' days, huh? I remember buying some 411VM VHS tapes and some team films. Adrian Lopez's part in Mislead Youth got me going. I would play Iron Maiden - The Prowler in my head to get hyped. Chillin' with your few friends, eating breakfast, getting hyped on VHS tapes. Magical fucking times.
This is a real classic and as Chris says "one of the all time favourite parts" :) It has been one of the biggest inspirations for me and yeaah Jeremy totally killed the Hubba Hideout and Carlsbad gap!
One of my all-time favorite part. Jeremy's pop is out of charts in '94, he rips down classic spots with numerous tricks (Hubba hideout and Carlsbad) and every tricks is as clean as can be. To me, it's up there in the groundbreaking parts, with Duffy in Questionable (THE part) or Jamie in Welcome to Hell.
This video part is beyond it's time. Now I can see why when Adio released their video called one Step Beyond. It was dedicated to Jeremy Wray always putting it down.
This guys had, and still have, a very unique and stylish way to lands tricks. I can't pinpoint what it is exactly, a mix of smoothness and fluidity maybe, but I've never seen another skater landing tricks the way he does.
he's probly the reason carlsbad was such a famous gap for so long. i've wanted to skate that spot for a long time. now i'll never get to. at least the footy is immortal
My first taste of Wray was that full pager for Concrete Jungle 360 frontside over that massive double wearing those massive 1992 bellbottoms. I swear his nose was pointed straight down.
I feel like Jeremy Wray singlehandedly set the tone for what street skating would be for years to come with this part. Way ahead of his time. Mind-blowing part...
I feel the same way.
He was the shit your right bro
I had all his boards

kind amazing how well this part holds up 20+ years later.
where does the fuckin time go lol
I have no idea how I haven't seen this till now. This parts nuts!
This video part was light years ahead of its time, What a fucking legend Jeremy Wray is.
Or about 5 or 6 years ahead of its time
Man he could do every trick that mattered on everything. 360 flip, F/S Flip, F/S 360. When you think F/S 360, you think Jeremy Wray. Still remember that insane building to building ollie he did. Damn.
He is one of those guys who pushed skateboarding to what it is today... Back in 95' this part was mindblowing!.. And it still is...

life goes on bro
strobo lazer I think the old times was better. Real skating not SL get the money and get the fame and do tricks like a robot.
done neverbeen what you said makes no sense
strobo lazer I hear ya man. Fuckin way she goes. All you can do is pass on the knowledge and hope for the future man. Most of the kids at the park don't even know who Mr.Wray is.
Вы говорите до русски
King of the 90's and still reigns supreme! My all time favourite skater hands down.
mine was mike carroll
Was my favourite skate part of all time in the 90s. Still is now.
It's not the tricks, it's the style. J
He's got bundles - just like Tom Penny. This part is Legendary
pat duffy plan b questionable sick!
I haven't watched this part in like 20 years, and it's still one of the best. His fakie, nollie and 360s were waaaaay ahead of there time!
could easily be a 2017 part filmed with a VHS camera.
First time seeing this in 2024 and i will say this part indeed does still stand up
Lol, those aren't Jordan's. Those are the old Sal "23" Etnies shoes.
Was my favorite shoe to skate in.
Alex Hoffee spot on had a few pairs of those suckas
@@matthewcody1757 hahaha I bought a pair of axions from paddy’s market once. Classic times
Best dhoe ever made
I would love to have a pair now.
Made me fall in love with skateboarding. This. What’s also crazy is, So many of the spots are no more. RIP 50 California.
Wow, one of the best parts of all time. This should have 100 Million views
Master!
Master Enzo when you really nail down kick flips you actually ollie first
That's how you get the pop and the big scoop.
Enzo I was just thinking the same thing about his foot placement. But he's a guy who wears size 13 or 14 and skating a 7.5 deck back in those days!
@@faridddddddudee..for real..now i get it..he's a giant on the little board
@@SwoleCalibur5 years later reply..you are right my bro
i think this is the greatest classic video !!
Jeremy Wray definatley deserves a SOTY...his skating in 94 is what people aspire to look like in 2012...total visionary, ollie master, and gfreat person
He should get SOTY today right now
A demonstration of dedication and outstanding talent. epic and nothing less.
My favorite section in one of my all-time favorite videos. I had this VHS in the 90s as a young punk skater. Good times!
Some one would be proud to throw this video down now. He was so so glorious. Thank you Jeremy wray💣❤️👌
Omg he was my favorite then and remains to be! There was no one like him. I had this on VHS:) He flies while landing his tricks with precision :)
I went too a plan b demo in 93 it blew my mind how good they were!
I was 13 when this came out it was the best skate video I’d ever seen Great memories
One of the best skate parts... ever
The most memorable "Part" of my life. I was 13 then.
I feel exactly like that. Just son incredibly beautiful a true work of art!
i remember this section back before i went loco for skating gaps . jeremy your a legendary inspiration
It's ironic that his 360 of Santa Monica and the roof gap ollie somehow overshadowed just how well rounded and technical he was for his time. What a fantastic trailblazer.
Had to come watch this after that 9 club today. Thanks Jake Rosenberg and everyone that worked on this video!
Same here
Wow - Jeremy has beautiful kick flips.
Love the first run in Carlsbad high school! RIP
Def one of the all time best parts! I used to watch this every morning before school and eat two pop tarts. This vid and The New Deal, useless wooden toys
best part ever...perfection.
How on gods green earth is there a dislike?? This is straight gold!! If someone filmed this now it'll still be fucken sick
Forgot how amazing this part is. It's older than most pros today. It's as good today as it was 25years ago. What a legend
Jeremy Wray such an incredible skateboarder, so much power and beautiful style
His foot positioning is crazy. When he is does a kickflip or a frontside flip his toes are hanging over.
+Gotoftheyear I would think his crazy foot positioning look like they dont move because he is skating a 7.5 deck. Hard to see foot placement on such a small board but that was the popular size then. Funny how things go full circle as bigger boards are coming out. Roll forever
Alan Thomas check out his instagram today for his current tricks on current boards..he still does them the same way
Definitely one of my favourite skaters. And for sure this part was light years ahead of its time. Manically fast, with mega pop, skateboarding doesn’t get better than this..!
UHHHH VOLVI A 1995, VHS MIRANDOLO 100 VECES AL DIA Y TRATABA DE COPIARLO EN TODO. GRACIAS TOTALES
Man his heel flips have so much pop and buttery at that..all Hail Jeremy Wray..🤘great vid..I remember this when it came out his skating holds up even today..

This vid, and Toy Machines' ' Heavy Metal' were my favourites back in the day.
thank you for uploading this
Iconic, so sick, one of the best for style in the roll-away, that fakie tre over that bench, with the hip-check, epic.
Used to get me so hype to Sk8! 2nd hand smoke, virtual reality, and the questionable video were the best shit ever.
Magical fucking times.
that assault on the double set in the beginning was madness.
This is a real classic and as Chris says "one of the all time favourite parts" :) It has been one of the biggest inspirations for me and yeaah Jeremy totally killed the Hubba Hideout and Carlsbad gap!
this video clip was new footage when I watched it daily, I'm age 40 now, still love it
So many classic spots that I wish still existed
First skate video I saw! 18 years later still hooked.
This was my friends and mine favorite skate video scene in the 90s. Jeremy Wray all the way.
People don’t even understand how fucking gnarly this guy was
2019 and this is still a jawdropping part
Had this on VHS back in the day. Still amazing
Second hand smoke man, my number one video for sure
This is my favorite skate video of all times I started skating in 96’ this was first video I watched and owned still own! lol.
Nice Chris Pfanner introducing it always a good start.
got me hyped to skate, the carlsbad clip at the beginning is still my favorite line ever
One of my all-time favorite part.

0:33 when your friend is trying to film some 'serious' skating, so just to spite him you do some freestyle, pogo trickery in the background.
HAPPY ツ damn I was wondering if it really him , noticed this on the Carlsbad gap doco
Omg thanks for pointing that out my stoned ass missed that part 😂
Its Rodney Mullen you asshole
Good old rodney mullen xD
That front three was one of the coolest looking clips I've ever seen.
If you're wondering when he Front-Side 360's Carlsbad gap, it's at 4:54. Like so everyone can see!
I remember the first time i saw the opening line of this video it changed things forever
Jeremy is one of the true greats
I ❤ the Windy's Biggie Fry in the grass! R I.P Carlsbad. Plan B forever!
He destroyed hubba hide out
Those white sal 23’s shoes he’s wearing 🔥
Jeremy and jonas for the mid 90s and eternal win....I miss the early days of street....big ups...also miss invisible and fuct and aesthetics
17 years later, this part still rapes most parts pros make now a days
Rapes.
I was 15 when I watched this video JW the legend PlanB💯🔥🔥🔥❤️
way ahead of his time. way under rated.
It’s crazy that them using the music they did in this, is like us using 90s music in a video today
The year was 1995 when, on account of this part, my mind was blown.
This video part is beyond it's time. Now I can see why when Adio released their video called one Step Beyond. It was dedicated to Jeremy Wray always putting it down.
he shoulda been in 1 of tony hawk games he shoulda signed with d.c
been wanting to watch this part for ages!
This guys had, and still have, a very unique and stylish way to lands tricks. I can't pinpoint what it is exactly, a mix of smoothness and fluidity maybe, but I've never seen another skater landing tricks the way he does.
He makes it a point to stomp his tricks and land bolts consistently. Sick. Especially in 94 when skaters were emerging from the sloppy flippity era.
@@seeemsee Good call!
There's a time and place for everything... and that time and place is Jeremy Wray
Classic skating with classic music
This is raw material man... no effects and shit. Just wow ....
That bit at Carlsbad gap at the end was like a genuine 6 gun shoot out
that fakie tre over the table was sick
Grasshopper style. Spot killer even 25 years later. The best.
Best Ollie of that era.
i watch this shit over any todays flips in flips in out shit
Front 3 carlsbad gap in '94.... gnarly. Sickest trick in the whole part.
The fake flip over that huge flat gap
he's probly the reason carlsbad was such a famous gap for so long. i've wanted to skate that spot for a long time. now i'll never get to. at least the footy is immortal
Amazing style. Who else digs the way he hits his grinds a bit slow? You can really feel it.
To go back to that golden age of skating!!
So ahead of his time his parents havent met yet
Is this a Big-L reference?
And still better than most of today's video parts
King Of Pop
the fact that in his opening run, there's a dude doing freestyle.. dates this vid.. this was a classic when i was a young ripper.
That was Rodney Mullen, but he was already deep into his street phase by then. But yeah, it was a long time ago.
I love this part
This was my shit as a kid. The first trick in this video is still, in my opinion, the cleanest tre flip ever done.
The best frontside 360s in the business!
My first taste of Wray was that full pager for Concrete Jungle 360 frontside over that massive double wearing those massive 1992 bellbottoms. I swear his nose was pointed straight down.
Merci Pfanner! C'est un vrai classique!
it makes me wanna cry seeing some of these kids comments. this part was a classic.
Jeremy wray is one hell of a badass, killed all those spots
Jeremy Wray is das braveste skater.
Bravery is only courage in war.
War is de ultimate form of competition.
this guy was waaay ahead of his time. sick
