I just came across this video when looking up methods to loosen the tight shoulders on two of my wrestling figures (both Mattel WWE and Jazwares AEW). This method worked! I would also recommend dunking them after the water comes to a boil and is dialed down or taken off the burner, making sure the bag is sealed, and using something like tongs to promptly retrieve the figure after the allotted time. Thank you from one Brian to another!
Thanks so much for this man! Phoebe has a marvel legends black widow that had a stiff ankle joint and I followed your method and it sorted it out!! Adore ya buddy. Love the Simpsons clips, ha ha ha ha. Keep up the amazing work dude.

I never thought of using that method with the bag. Great idea! I actually prefer hot water to the hair dryer method and think I've used it on most GI Joe Classifieds so far. But this method seems much cleaner and easier to do.
I've had figure limbs be a bit wobbly after using the hairdryer its not a great idea in my opinion but yeah sticking it ina little bag works a treat and keeps the figure mostly dry
@@KootenaiKing from my experience it is perfectly safe it's all in the video anyway , just a store bought box of small plastic bags , have a great new year 😁
Hello sir , I just received my DLX threezero bumblebee figure today and cost me a lot of money. I came to know that his ankle is very stiff ..like its completely not tilting. Like its rock hard. Will this method work on it . Please give me suggestion 🙏
I just recently bought Marvel Selects Titanium Man, been in the box for over a year. He came out of the box with *super* tight elbows and shoulders. Any tips for him-? Not sure if he's at all similar to NECA.
Good idea there with the bag. I've been eyeing up those Neca defenders of the earth figures but have been put off by some the stories out there. Might give this method a try! Cheers Brian!
I didn't buy them for the very reason myself seen a lot of breakages I suppose though i didn't want them enough either , i've heard horror stories for the Turtles figures aswell but i took a chance anyway cos I love them haha
I'm really sorry for how late my comment is, but my action figure (from neca)'s arms are stuck in almost a V position? Like, downwards V, and I'm kind of freaking out, since it wont bend back downwards (sorry this is super embarassing, I'm just super new to buying action figures and i really dont wanna break mine)
@@BriansActionFigureReviews update, I think I fixed it!! don't have to take it back🎉🎉 watched one of your other videos and found out the limbs were just a wee bit stiff
Yeah I have a bottle of it I find I use it as a last resort because it gets everywhere and can a figure very greasy/oily, my storm collectibles scorpion has a permanent extra sheen thanks too it 😂
I just got a shadow 5 inch movie figure for Sonic 3. His legs Wont move forward, ill definitely try this!
@@animal_fbi best of luck dude hope it works for you
I just got Ben Reilly spiderman just today, he was so hard to move but thankfully I came across you. Tysm.
Ahh that's awesome glad I could help 😁

Anytime my fellow Brian 😊
as someone new to neca this was absolutely invaluable thank you so much!!
Glad I could help dude 😊
Enjoyed that Brian, never watched a video like this before, but did wonder what it meant when people talk about different ways to loosen joints etc
Thanks dude I'm glad you enjoyed it 😁
thanks for the video using this really helped losing my neca tf2 solider action figure you seem like such a nice guy and you just got a new sub :)

Great little video Brian, very original and helpful 👍

Figured this out when I had to take the head off a Mego figure as I didn't want to wet the inside of the body and delay the restringing.
Yep it's good to know

Less mess , less stress (on your joints ) ;) , but yeah i used to use the hairdryer but it leaves figures with a gummy feeling
That's actually a really smart way of doing the boiling water method. The hair dryer method scares me, as I'd worry about melting the plastic.

Definitely try and heat it up and move it gently in case it breaks

Same trick should apply to all figures again just take your time and don't force the joints they should definitely feel a lot looser once heated up

What’s the best bag to use ??
Just anything plastic that you can seal to keep the water out
How much time do you wait After taking off the water from the Fire, before you put the figure in it?
Just before boiling point I would say just be careful
@@BriansActionFigureReviews ok, so maybe After boiling Is Better e to wait a couple of minutes, right?
So are your figures still good, or has the plastic from the bag started eating the paint away from the figures yet?
Yep there perfect there in the plastic bag for literally a minute, it's only to keep them dry while heating up
