@@bromicorn It works on swivels for me. My SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Black and Bardock both had scary stiff bicep swivels so I had to pop em apart at the bicep, lube it up with the dish soap, and then stick em back on and they’ve been moving fine since

Thank you so much man-I have all of the Mcfarlene halo figures, limited edition expensive yadeeyahdeeyah-but here they were all so stiff so I couldn't make them take a step without slowly moving the leg forwards listening to the click click click pop to the right place. Now I can make them ragdoll and I don't have to position them every second.

Ha!! Cool Wargreymon figure! Love the metal claws, nice touch. I hope this will work on my DCCollectibles Superman!!! His shoulder just will not move and it makes his arm look really weird in the position it is in. I had to make him put his fist on his hip to look (slightly) less goofy. He is a special edition repaint, with a metallic blue suit and not the matte blue. I think it is just the paint binding it up. Thanks for the vid!

Thank you SO much for this. Picked up the mafex TDKR batman and it was real tight at the legs. This made the figure a lot easier to pose.

I also bought a Mafex TDKR Superman and has tight joints. I'm just wondering, how is your figure now?
@Alvin Vergara he's still good! When I tried this, I had added some soap to his torso that made things a little too loose, but if you run water through the figure and give time to dry, all should be okay. The application I did to his legs has still held up after all this time, and they still work great.

Just got a sealed TFP Vehicon and his right thigh swivel was so tight I thought it was going to break. This fixed it up immediately!

It is the right shoulder I think.

My vegeta was the same, I used Wahl clipper blade oil on it and it loosened it immediately
I know this video is quite old now, but regardless I found this very helpful. I just got a MAFEX figure and the hip joints were tight and I was genuinely scared, I paid a lot for it and it was the last one on the store site I got it from. But putting the dishwashing liquid I had on the joints helped and my blood pressure came back down. Thank you so much.

Will it also work on model kits? Cuz I have the Mega man, Roll, and Proto man kits from Kotobukiya and recently got the Valkyrie no densetsu kit from Kotobukiya and the joints on those were kinda stiff.

I tried twisting the arms, but the Plastic started to separate, and I was REALLY WORRIED if I put too much pressure on it, it would eventually break!

You got suggestion how to do this fix on a plushy that have ball joints in it? I recently got a Faerie Dragon Plush from the Blizzard Gear store, but 3-4 of the ball joins in the tail are very stiff and I am wondering how to maintain them in the tail as I don't want it to break accidentally.

2) Desperate, I tried the hot water method. Disheartened to find that it didn’t work.

I'm going to try this since I actually got some joint tightening solution in a joint that didn't need it and now it is really hard to move hopefully this helps.
I would not do this like a math equation. Try rinsing whatever you used out with water or something - I'm guessing not Pledge? - that will remove it and let it sit.
That looks way better than the hot water or blow dryer method. I got some NECA figures, and they come pretty tight in certain joints.
That will need to be used to unstick the joints due to paint gluing the joints. This is for ball joints either too big or sockets too small.

No, it won't. It's meant to loosen. Wash it out and do it again! Should fix it up.

I have multiple Fortnite Legendary Series figures that all have the same issue. When the arms move outwards to the side, they snap into place, but it's so tight, it might snap off the peg that goes into the bicep. Do you think this would work on ratchet-type joints like that?
Hey man! I got a SH Figuarts Event Exclusive Vegito Blue and his knee joint is a little tight and makes the bottom part of the leg come off (not broken and can pop back in place, but comes off joint since it twists kinda stiffly. Will this work or any suggestions? Need to know asap so that I can keep or return it while I can.
Hey my dude, just saw this. This should help with the 1.0 style knees in terms loosening them up, but tbh without having it in hand I can't tell you if that'll help your issue. Sorry!

I just detached my newly arrived monsterarts rebirth goji's right leg (wich was wayyy to tight to do Stopmotion with) , put it back on and it was fine

Hello, I recently got some Dead or Alive KT 3/4 inch Kaiyodo Takara mini figures, and the plastic joints are REALLY tight. I believe these figures are a bit old but they were kept factory sealed. I tried moving the leg joints but they are very tight and I'm afraid of breaking them. Would this work on these mini figures?

MonsterArts Godzilla 2000 Millennium Special Color Ver. and tried many attempts to fix but doesn't seem to work! What do you think?
