Beautiful tiny house! I use to have a truck camper myself my friend John Moss gave me n I use to camp out in the lime stone quarry at my work in Mccook Il. I miss those days. Can’t do this kind of project anymore due to old age and disability so reduced to watching others. You guys are great, and I do hope your knee gets better. Believe me, we’ll aquatinted with bad knees. Got my right knee smashed years ago by a car that jumped the curb and crushed my hip and knee. Still suffering from it.
I watch a lot of camper video builds and I think U2 did an excellent job.I think one of you could film, while the other one describes different things and it would hold the camera stable.
Yeah them little Mr. Heater brand heaters kick ass! Lol I had a single burner propane one and it would heat an entire trailer i was remodeling for a friend... I live in frigid Buffalo NY area and it kept it cozy warm all winter and now I use it to pre-heat my garage anytime I'm going to be out there working in the winter...
Yeah we love that thing! Ever have one kick off though? Ours has done it the last couple of times we used it. We are thinking maybe it just needs to be cleaned?
@@LoveHut4Life no never, I wonder why yours did that? Mine has a tilt safety shut off which all of them should so maybe it wasn't on a flat stable surface?

I hope you’ll subscribe and come on this adventure with us. Today is day 620 in our little home on wheels, and we are still loving every second of it.
I’d definitely put some screens in-you can buy screen cheap and put some magnetic strips or Velcro up to keep them on or up when not in use. Great build1
Just starting to catch up from the build watch and your 1st 30 day places video. Good to see this tour of your build. Will try to watch a couple a day or so perhaps to make some progress on where you have been so far. Have you made it to Maine yet? I know you don't like the cold so.....the warmest months tend to be July and August but of course those are the busiest with tourists also usually. Safe travels.
Awesome!!! Welcome along for the journey man! 😀 We have not made it to Maine yet. It had been a wild ride and we have learned a lot. This quickly turned into a choice of lifestyle rather than a road trip. 31 states down so far. The other 19 (the North East) will have to wait until it’s warm.
😂😂😂 it was added many months later. Check out some more recent tours. There have been a lot of them over the years and this thing is constantly transforming to meet our needs
Thanks! This video is rough to look back on now, and I appreciate everyone who watches it 😂 We are still out here living the dream, and thankfully have gotten a little better with a camera. I hope you’ll check out some newer stuff, and come along for the ride:)
If you two ever make it to Central Florida, I'd like to ogle over the build. We have a Camp ground on a lake down the street and they have kept adding a few micro homes that I believe they rent out. I just dig the micro movement.
Hey guys hows it going ? hope things are well in this Lock Down , Here in Calgary wer relaxing at home and Im going to watch a marathon of your videos lol . Happy New year . Love you guys.
Hey:) Thanks for the support. We haven’t really been affected too much by the lock downs. (Knock on wood) We are hanging out with family in Texas and getting ready to head West for warm winter days. Happy New Year to you and yours!
I watched the build video and am interested in the squareness of the build and the wind resistance. It looks really good and I hope it's still going strong. Take care and YHVH bless y'all.
😂🤣 squareness? It’s not lol... we love it though, and view it’s imperfections as character traits. Windy days are rough, but yes it is still going strong. I hope you’ll check out some newer videos. We post updates on our travels every Saturday:)
Thankyou:) we’ll be driving through around July. I hope you’ll check out some newer videos. We are on day 209 of full time travel, and are hanging out on a mountain in Washington State
Fabulous work, it shows you both put a lot of love into your home. I'm not going to say truck box, it's your gorgeous home you build it, that's what I love to see to because young couple build from scratch and enjoy every moment. I'm proud you you both, just want to know where's your toilet and shower? God bless you both oh and your little baby🐕. 👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thankyou! We certainly enjoy it. At the time of this tour there wasn’t a bathroom or shower. Both have been added. It is about to be time for an updated tour. We are pushing our 1 year anniversary. I hope you’ll subscribe and join us for the journey:) 🥰✌️❤️
We honestly haven’t weighed it, but our best guess is that it started off around 2,000 pounds and we’ve probably added about 500 over the time we’ve been living and traveling in it. We don’t go over 55, so we stay clear of any roads that there would be any worries about DOT. 19,000 miles and 24 states so far:)
That thing is as cool as heck man. I'll have to watch the videos on the build for this as well. Looks like it took alot of work. But came out great! Definitely not something you see on the road everyday!
Lol yeah we haven’t seen anything else like it yet. Thanks:) you should definitely check out the build episode. We tried to give as much detail as possible
A recommendation from me would be to get yourself a high output alternator custom built.from BrandX (Jonathan Patrick) and then switch to lithium cels for battery bank and you will have more than enough power to run a fridge and anything you'll ever need in there...
Nice tour and nice house. The only things I'd have done different are.Putting a slightly raised deck up top on the deck area.So you could have rounded the roof a bit for water runoff. Figure out a way to have a hammock hanging outside the bedroom window. Otherwise Looks Great!!
You are right about the roof! We wouldn’t suggest anyone to flat like we did. It’s still serving its purpose but we’ve had a few minor leaks. We have added a hammock, and an awning to the side:)
@@LoveHut4Life Wouldn't be to hard to change the roof.Replace the roof frame with homemade laminate plywood arched ones. Use a heavy duty poly tarp. Fastened like you did the previous one. Build a wooden or metal frame supported by the sides. Then put decking on it.Double roof protection and a flat deck.
LOOK'S GREAT YOU BOTH WORKED HARD, HOW ARE YOU BOTH DOING WITH THE LOCKDOWN, HOPE YOUR LEG IS BETTER YOU DID WELL WITH YOU LEG THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDS, FROM THE UK
Thanks:) we are doing fine. We are kind of stuck in Nevada for the time being but are traveling all over the state, seeing some beautiful sites. I hope you’ll check out our newer videos. We post every saturday
I'm going to do something similar, but I'm going to use a VIA hybrid diesel electric 3/4 ton 4x4 that gets 100 mpg in the city, & 120 mpg on the hwy. I'm also going to put a used lancer slide in camper. The VIA camper will be for traveling adventures to Canada & Alaska during the 3 summer months, & the rest of the time will be spent down on the West coast & in Baja California.
Awesome build that is amazing really guys I love it one thing though watch it back and count how many times she said uuuuggghhhh.... made it pretty hard to watch very annoying... the only reason I finished it was because it was such a cool build anyway thanks for sharing and work on your word whisker
That’s fair man. It was our second video, and we were both pretty uncomfortable in front of the camera. I hope you’ll check out some newer stuff. I think we’ve gotten better with time. Thanks for the support
Absolutely I really do like your Channel and sometimes people don't realize that they're saying their word whiskers and it just takes a little bit of gentle suggestion to have them realize what they're saying over and over so thank you for being open-minded and yeah try not to say uuuuuuugh😃Lol My friend follows up every other sentence with "and everything like that" He didn't realize he was saying my for the last 15 years until I started repeating him every time he said it and then he realized that he was saying that so much so anyway gentle encouragement word whiskers eventually if you realize they're there it will make a whole lot better videos thank you guys for sharing
I think it turned out great. Love the hillbilly Yeti! Something you should be really proud of. Did you speak with your insurance company about he DIY camper? What did they have to say?
It’s inside the bed of the truck, therefore covered by the truck’s insurance... I’m pretty sure that’s only a thing in Alabama though. Also, because it was built in Alabama, it doesn’t have to be registered and we didn’t need permits to build. :)
@@LoveHut4Life Cool and good for you. I've heard that home built rigs like yours could be subject to possible lawsuits if, God forbid, you get in a wreck and your home goes flying off the truck and causes some damage or injures someone.
Nice build! Love the rustic interior and the "Hillbilly Yeti". Suggestion on the camera work: there are two of you so have one hold the camera while the other talks and points things out. Trying to do it in selfie mode doesn't work well as it is too shaky and not aimed at what you are talking about. Wondering how the large frontal area affects fuel mileage? I'm building my own camper and thinking about doing a pop up or at least a sloped front to help lessen wind resistance.
Hey thanks:) 288 days in now. 19,000 miles and 24 states. We are currently doing some improvements on it, while we are docked to make some money, but it is holding up well. Our camera and sound work on this video is a little embarrassing to look back on, but we were just starting out. We’ve come a long way. I hope you’ll check out some newer videos! The truck only lost 4mpg with the house, but it didn’t get great before. Wind is a little tough just because we are so top heavy, but we take things slow and it hasn’t been too much of an issue
@@LoveHut4Life Thanks for the rep;y. I'm going to subscribe and check out your other videos. You may have covered it on other videos but is your truck gas or diesel? I have a 2500 Duramax and have added air bags, Bilstein 5100 shocks and heavy duty sway bars to help stabilize loads.
Thanks for the support:) It’s gas.. we didn’t originally do anything to the suspension, but it is definitely in our plans while we have the house off the truck. We have taken it down some crazy “roads” over the past 9 months, and even got stuck once. Nevada and Arizona BLM’s are no joke, if you want to get away from the crowds.
Oh wow, it looks so cozy inside! So original. love it! I'm sure it will serve you well on your trip. (Glad I found you on insta, its @travels.of.heather ) Come say hi sometime. Safe travels, especially with all the craziness going on right now.
Hey Thanks:) I definitely will. Times are crazy and we are trying to prepare for anything, but our plan is to keep traveling as we need supplies. We’ll just travel on days that we need stuff, and stay away from people as much as we can.
Fine build! I built the worlds first Queen size bed over the cab extension, 2 years later other RV builders started to follow suit. I see light, how do you keep the extension from hitting your trucks roof? Have you hit a truck scale and weighed all that extra weight? Looks rather heavy.
fm00078 Thanks:) that queen size bed is a must! We use wooden sticks at night, for when we have weight up there, but nothing while driving. It squeaks on the shark antenna a bit, but doesn’t come close to hitting the roof. We haven’t weighed it yet. My guess is a little under 2000 pounds fully loaded. Shane says more like 2500, but the truck is having no issues at all and doesn’t seem to be over loaded. Check out our previous episode, “The Build”, and you’ll see we used the lightest weight materials we could to construct this thing.
Lol yes... yes it is. We call it our not so tinyhouse... I would suggest going 8ft wide instead of 8.5, just because historical cities are hard to get through.
I have so many questions. 1) if you dont have a residence, where is your truck registered at, along with insurance? 2) what made you decide to be travelers? 3) how are you funding basic life, food, phones, truck insurance? 4) will you go back to "typical life" after you visited all 50 states? 5) do you work? like small jobs? 6) why the color yellow, for the hut?
Mostly savings so far, but we both have been bartending for years and will work when we need to. One of the biggest draws to this lifestyle is how little it cost. When you get rid of all of your bills, it doesn’t take much.
@@LoveHut4Life sorry. It just fasicnates me. We seen yall's truck today in Surprise, AZ. So we started following you on social media. q 7) where do yall shower? make shift outside shower? my husband has been wanting us to build a tiny home, for a while now. Im the hold up, bc we have 4 kids and cats. Plus I like to wake up, with my house in the same spot, daily. LOL
Out door shower has been installed since, and we just finished our composting toilet yesterday:) we’ve been on the road for a little over 6 months now, and post every Saturday. New video, featuring our new toilet will be out later today

Great job. Love it. God bless always.
Thanks:)
Hello can’t wait to watch your videos
Awesome! Thanks for checking us out!
Thanks. It’s my foot. I’m getting better every day:)
Very nice. I envy you two. Been partially working in a Apart in trailer. You inspire me to get going on mine.
Thanks:) Happy to inspire. I hope you’ll check out some of our travel videos too. We post updates every Saturday
I watch a lot of camper video builds and I think U2 did an excellent job.I think one of you could film, while the other one describes different things and it would hold the camera stable.
We were working fast. Lol thanks for watching. I hope you’ll subscribe and come along for the ride. Today is day 174 of fulltime travel
Keep an eye on condensation when you run it, thy kick out a lot of moisture. Please have a working CO detector. ⚰️ 😋
@@LoveHut4Life no never, I wonder why yours did that? Mine has a tilt safety shut off which all of them should so maybe it wasn't on a flat stable surface?
Love your house on wheels and how you guys built it 😍 You guys deserve tons of subs! Subscribed and Bell Clicked. Good luck on your journey and hope your channel will grow BIG.👍
Thanks:) welcome to our channel!!! I hope you enjoy the ride!
Try your best to hold your camera stable while recording. its a little shaky.... by the way great built of your tiny house.. keep it up... well done.
Thanks:) I think we’ve gotten a lot better over time. I hope you’ll check out our newest video!
@@LoveHut4Life Will do... i just subscribed to your channel... all the best... from Malaysia....
I think your love heart is absolutely beautiful I enjoyed the tour I only have one request. I’m hoping that you can do like a slow look around at the inside so that we can see like Moore or at once so I can get a better idea of how cozy and nice I love the pictures and the windows I just kind of want to see it in slow Mo you so we can you know get a better idea. Have a great day and stay safe!😉
Thank you! We need to do an updated tour soon, and I definitely plan on doing a better job of slowing down and getting the details. Our camera work has gotten better over time.
Screens will definitely be added before summer hits!
We have not made it to Maine yet. It had been a wild ride and we have learned a lot. This quickly turned into a choice of lifestyle rather than a road trip. 31 states down so far. The other 19 (the North East) will have to wait until it’s warm.
Wheres the most important potty???😮 lol beautiful build!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
😂😂😂 it was added many months later. Check out some more recent tours. There have been a lot of them over the years and this thing is constantly transforming to meet our needs
Very inspiring. Fun travels
Thanks! This video is rough to look back on now, and I appreciate everyone who watches it 😂
We are still out here living the dream, and thankfully have gotten a little better with a camera. I hope you’ll check out some newer stuff, and come along for the ride:)
Good stuff, you all rock! peace
Thanks for your support:) I hope you’ll subscribe and come along for the ride! ✌️
Very cool, I Love It. New subscriber here from BluWave Odyssy. Looking forward to watching more.
Thanks for checking us out:)
If you two ever make it to Central Florida, I'd like to ogle over the build. We have a Camp ground on a lake down the street and they have kept adding a few micro homes that I believe they rent out. I just dig the micro movement.
That’s one of the first places we went. Lots of family in Florida. We’ll be back:) follow along and remind us when we are close!
Texas! Woot woot!
Wow! love it! Congrats!
Thanks:) we love it too! 14 states so far, and counting! I hope you’ll subscribe and check out our other videos as well.
(Knock on wood)
We are hanging out with family in Texas and getting ready to head West for warm winter days.
2022, Big shout out to the crew! Still keeping it real in AZ.
💕💕 Thanks man! Outside of choosing each other, building this thing was the best decision we ever made!
Nice guys!👍
Thanks:)
Great job! Happy trails
Thanks for your support:) I hope you’ll check out our newest videos as well!
Only an asshat would go thru the trouble of putting a thumbs down on this video....good luck on the road and you have a new sub.
Lol I agree! Thanks for your support! I hope you enjoy the ride:)
You two did a great job! Maybe we'll run into each other someday, I'm from Alabama too.
Nice job. How much does your rig way? I'm curious about the total weight. Be careful in Iowa, they do pull in RV's to check weight.
I think a picture frame style electric fireplace would look awesome above the hamper.
We are actually considering a tiny wood burning stove by next winter!
❤ LOOKS NICE KELSEY, SHANE AND I JUST LOVE LITTLE MISS DIXIE ❤
Thanks:) we love her too!
Sounds awesome man! Hope to meet you on the road one day and tour that bad boy! Happy building:)
Absolutely I really do like your Channel and sometimes people don't realize that they're saying their word whiskers and it just takes a little bit of gentle suggestion to have them realize what they're saying over and over so thank you for being open-minded and yeah try not to say uuuuuuugh😃Lol
My friend follows up every other sentence with "and everything like that"
He didn't realize he was saying my for the last 15 years until I started repeating him every time he said it and then he realized that he was saying that so much so anyway gentle encouragement word whiskers eventually if you realize they're there it will make a whole lot better videos thank you guys for sharing
Interested to know, are you working on the road or living off savings?
A little of both
Corona virus lockdown got me here 3/5/2020
That sucks man.. I hope watching our videos helps with the cabin fever. Stay safe ✌️ thanks for watching
What did you do for air conditioning? Or have you just not got that far yet?
We have fans and most of the windows open. No AC.... 94 is the hottest it’s been and it wasn’t bad.
@@LoveHut4Life I live in rural north west NV. Love the isolation and solitude.
Mystery Meat we love Nevada! Shane calls it the “Alabama of the West” LoL
That's what we're hoping to do, just sort trips and not go to far from my family's that we can use as a sort of home base. Stay safe.
That’s huge.
Lol yes... yes it is. We call it our not so tinyhouse... I would suggest going 8ft wide instead of 8.5, just because historical cities are hard to get through.
How heavy did camper weight finally come
To
Honestly we haven’t had a reason to weigh it. Our best guess is around 2,000 pounds. The truck seems to be doing fine
Lol that is a lot of questions
Truck is registered and insured in Alabama. We lived there last and have family there
Mostly savings so far, but we both have been bartending for years and will work when we need to.
LOL
Probably no going back to “normal life” after this. We are loving life on the road. Who knows though🤷🏼♀️ we aren’t really the 10 year plan type.
Nice build. 🚿 shower & toilet?
Out door shower has been installed since, and we just finished our composting toilet yesterday:) we’ve been on the road for a little over 6 months now, and post every Saturday. New video, featuring our new toilet will be out later today
Cute camper but where is the toilet?
At the time of this tour, we didn’t have one. We have added one since though:) The video is under
How We Built our DIY Composting toilet
Far can the camper extend past the outside of the truck?
It’s at the legal limit without a special license. 8.5ft is the total width, including the where the jacks attach
Now that would be nice if u put that on a utility trailer
Nahhh couldn’t go half the places we go if we did that
You put your two inches together you probably got my age but anyway he pooped in a fantastic job you got to be real proud of yourself both of you
Super cool! So much more space than I imagined! Love the yellow :) My one question is where did you get the bedding/what's it called? It is exactly what I've been looking for! 😁💛
Thanks:) I got it from Amazon.
