ஒரு electrical engineer என்ற முறையில் பகிர்கிறேன்: 1. முதலாவதாக, phase selector வழியாக லைட்டிங் load - lights, fans மட்டுமே connect செய்யுங்கள். ஏனென்றால், 2. air conditioner, geyser போன்ற high power appliancesகளை phase selector மூலம் கனெக்ட் செய்வதில் பிரச்சினை உள்ளது. இந்த appliances அதிக கரெண்ட் இழுப்பதால் phase selector பழுதாக வாய்ப்புள்ளது. 3. வீட்டில் ஒரு ACக்கு மேல் இருந்தால், உங்கள் electrician, loadகளை வேறு வேறு line (phase)களில் பிரித்திருப்பார். இதனால் load balancing இருக்கும். இந்த high power load களை தனித் தனியாக MCB வழியாக connect செய்வது உசிதம். ஒரு phaseல் power இல்லை என்றால், அந்த AC ஓடாது. ஆனால், Phase selector மூலம் fan ஓட செய்யலாம் 4. ஆனால், ACகளை phase செலக்டரில் connect செய்தால், load balancing இருக்காது. பல high power applianceகளை ஒரே phaseல் ஓடினால் fuse போக வாய்ப்புள்ளது.

Anna,at the time of fluctuations in R, if we turn a selector switch from R to Y, should we also change the selector switch pointing Y to R, to make it balanced
If you change like that , now Y load will have fluctuations. Then what is the point. Fluctuations means that phase is overloaded already. While changing care should be taken so that high power devices like AC are not connected in the same phase. That is because in the original design wiring will have the capacity for one AC only. If mutiple ACs are connected in samd phase , wires might burn due to heat..

Very nice one But it is very old manually operating system and if one or two phase resume again from EB, then nobody aware and more loads are in one phase. Nowadays automatic phase changeover switches are available in the market and it will automatically changeover between 3 phases when the supply is returned from EB. Manual operation not required.

Bro good tips!. In my house bi-monthy less than 450 units used for the past years. Unsually for the past bi-monthy jun-Aug 22 the 3 phase eb meter shows 910 units.!. No AC in my house. Fridge-5* 190L,, , top losd washing machine , blunder, induction stove-rarely used, 3L water heater rarly used, smart led tv used less than 6 hours, Computer used less than 6 hours . only one fan used at a time 20 hours per day?. What went wrong? Can you suggest an idea !. Thank you.
