I don’t think the Bmw jumped, it was probably the torque down low that gave it the “jump”
BMW starts at 3. It didn’t jump. I guess it’s because BMW have better torque from lower rpm than audi. That’s why it loses at the beginning of the race.

That bmw had drag radials and a ton more torque while brake boosting, so it gets out hard. He has a good setup.
It’s a sweet spot for the b58 as well, I guess that’s why he didn’t leave the RS3 in the beginning as much then as the second round

good race. that RS3 is really a rocket even in the top end it still pulling. that M340i did well too. the weight of the car really makes a difference. its almost safe to say that RS3 is the new 👑 of the auto glory for now~

I remember when I picked up my B9 S4 back in August 2020 there was a blue 2018 RS3 on the lot for $50k with 30k miles. How the times have changed

I like how clean the rs3 engine looks.I feel it should be easy to work on. The B58 on the other hand is way more tech'y with the intercooler build in inlet manifold, but it looks like a mess, plastic manifold, plastic valve cover, fuel lines over valve cover, so many pipes and lines everywhere...
Been saying the driver of that rs3 needs to learn how to brake boost or set up an rolling antilag and it would will alot more races. They still won but could be pulling out alot better vs having the lag and passing later on

Rolling antilag causes super high EGTs and blows these stock motors up, so can't do that. And brake boosting wears out these carbon ceramic rotors, so I don't wanna do that.
Good thing they already have rolling antilag from the factory. It’s only for .5-1 second, but they have it. It won’t be as effective as antilag for a few seconds, but it certainly helps.

Pardon my potential ignorance here but what does AWD have to do with top end? I understand increased parasitic drag because of AWD but I thought top end has more to do with coefficient of drag and gearing....

@@Executiveinvestments- So I'd posit that it does make a difference overall, but when you're approaching 100mph plus speeds that drag coefficient and gearing have a far greater impact. And that was where I took issue with the original comment. Not that it isn't a factor, its just a small one. Top end speed and acceleration is far more about aero and gearing.
If a theoretical car can get to 150mph with 200hp it would need 1,600hp (8x as much) to get to 300mph. That isn't an opinion it's physics.
U guys jumped him on the 2nd run too. Thise rs3s are amazing. M340i is nice too but those damn 5 cylinder and v10s sound glorious.
I'd say the rs3b is the under dog... same mods with 1 less cylinder...good runs

As an owner of a B9, I second this. Once OTS tunes are released for the TTE710/810 I think you’re gonna see a lot more of them. I’m going FBO and flashing from E40 to E85 next week, will be curious how the 60-130 time compares to a B58

You are comparing a brand new generation G80 to a 2018MY rs3 huh lol. Full bolt on e85 vs full bolt on e85 rs3 is a pretty good race, and the TTRS is more than likely faster mod for mod vs an f80
If the rs3 brake boosted, the M340i would have got gapped like a MF, but wouldn’t wanna do that if I had carbon ceramics lol

Same car. I've tried it both ways and temps are lower with the intake box off. The box is trapping heat inside when it would normally be escaping

These cars aren’t even competitors. One is a full blown RS car. One is a m-sport package regular BMW. An M2/M3 and RS3 are competitors.

They make 600whp. This M340 makes 500whp and is heavier. You’re very biased, and clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. The ceiling on Daza and S55 are similar. S55 can take more power without blowing up. You seem to forget how many stock motor RS3’s popped on the 600whp+ E85 file before they turned it down. Stock motor daza owners to this day will pay to get a less aggressive tune than ots e85 because they’re scared they’ll blow it up.

I feel like the m340 did great considering it isn't the top of the line BMW. While on the other hand, the RS3 is the best of its kind. You would assume RS3's should compete against the M3 but look at it competing with the M340...

By the other hand, that bmw is a premoum platform, engine longitudinally mounted, more weight AFTER front axle, ovwrseering character and got unlimited modifications potential because of transmission layout which is what is needed for any sport car.
