Thanks! Great video! Just a little tip about the spot at the top. If you go back and watch, when you wrapped the painters tape at the top........you wrapped it in the opposite direction as the paper. If you watch closely, you can see that it created a gap then. Always wrap your tape in the same direction as the paper. I absolutely love the design! Sublife!
Aww this is AMAZING!! My aunt has been trying to do this for a while and she’s been having the same issues. It has never printed on her cup, but I have some faith she’s going to get it soon! I’m definitely willing to help! Thanks for the knowledge! Congratulations and keep going ma’am🧡!!!
You did an AWESOME job on this tumbler! You tickled me when you said to stop the video and pray for your tumbler to come out alright, and I did.🙏 You're sweet! Again, great job!
Thank you so much for sharing the technique, I was literally piecing everything together and cutting everything out trying to get that effect. Thank you.
I am doing my research on dye sublimation and this video is great! I just love your real excitement for how good the cup turned out. New subscriber here. Also, I was watching a video where the people had an oven like yours and they turned it on it’s side and it still worked. I know the sides get hot, but I am guessing there are ways to prevent fire. Idk.
LOVE it!!!! Someone has probably asked before but I’m wondering do u not have to epoxy it after? And if not is it dishwasher safe and microwave safe? I just got my printer so I’m wanting to do some cups for my daughter shop.
Your cup looks beautiful, I’m just starting with sublimation and will try doing a cup this weeks, but just curious as to what the measurements were for the image? TIA
I know this vid is 3 yrs old but if you can add GLITTER over sublimation designs, it would not only have made that one POP but it would have taken care of the minor flaws. LOVED IT! GREAT JOB!!
I absolutely love it thats one of my favorite movies of all time.... 1 question though did you use a specific paper or regular like printer paper for this 🤔
i love your cup! i have never done one of these before. do you have to have a special type of image? or can you take any image as long as it is printed on sublimation paper? also, where did you find the image for this cup?
Thank you for sharing. This is such a great tutorial ❤️ oh my goodness it’s so amazingly beautiful. So you don’t have to add anything else after you take the paper off?
Omg!! You did sooo good!! I took step by step notes (yea I paused you 100 xs lol) & even drew a very pathetic tumbler cup & where to put the painter tape lol! I’m going to $ store after work! Do they have to be stainless? I imagine plastic would melt…? Thank you so much you were very easy to listen to & understand & & you were very thorough, I can’t wait to try it! I got a really good deal on a sub printer that I should have by Friday! 💃💃💃💃
Did you use a regular printer and paper for the image? Or was it a specific brand, model that you have to use? I watched the video a couple of times but didn't understand that part. Thank you
It's sublimation ink in her CONVERTED TO SUBLIMATION printer .. It not regular pigment ink that is in the standard run of the mill printers. It is printed on a special paper but can be printed on a high white thicker copy paper. hope that helps,,,, (google sublimation process... (it awesome and doesn't sit on top of the fiber like screenprinting or vinyl)
Awesome Video.. I LOve your Reaction to the Unvailing. Tumbler came out Gorgeous. I am New to the world of Sublimation waiting for my Printer to get here Thursday so glad I found you on here .. new fan for sure .. Great Job
I believe she is using the A-Sub paper you get off Amazon. Also, you can not use a regular ink jet printer with its original ink. It would have to be converted to a sublimation ink printer.
Omg! Just bought a sub printer 2 days ago! And now after your video I just bought an convection oven lol. I need to start making money now this hobby is breaking me lol/
Mine burned completely. How do you say 6 minutes and it burned at three. I have all my receipts I use everything that was suggested in the video. Ink, paper, painters tape, heat transfer tape and all. I just feel so defeated!
I use a cup press and you can fix something like that seam issue by putting another piece of black subbed paper and reheat it. in a press, nothing happens to the design by reheating the mug.
I have someone that does this and they use the shrink wrap and it makes it really tight as the shrink wrap heats up and Titans around the object. That might make it a lot easier for you
Love it! This was my first video since getting my printer for Christmas. What brand ink do u use? The colors are so vibrant!!! And what is the cup brand. Im new and want to do this!!!!
I know this was a year ago so you probably have thought of another method to do for the bottom part but I would probably pulled the bottom part like I did stop so that you didn't have that white rim at the bottom but girl that looks good!
Can I use a regular conventional oven? Or I have an air fryer that looks just like yours and it has different settings and one of them I believe is confection? Thank you

Line the top with heat tape before you add the painters tape. It's more sanitary and it'll help with the color coming through right. Great job.

so you would have to epoxy after?
No you don’t have to epoxy sublimation. It’s ink. It adheres to the cup
