Rest = Growth. You gotta recover to grow, don’t just train, train train. The rest is where the gains occur. It’s okay to rest.

Correct, Joe Weider said it : LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Some days I do a split workout,
    sometimes just mornings. Sometimes rest.

I've noticed one rest day while working out a specific muscle group every day you do workout makes you feel really really good. By the time you come back to a muscle group, it's been rested for a week or so.

I disgree about #2. Beginners lift much less weight so they strain ligaments much much less compared to advanced lifters

Beginners oftentimes lift weights too heavy for them or lift in a manner that isn't safe so it is very possible for a beginner to strain a ligament (as we see in our therapy clinic). However, this video is geared towards more recovery and the fact that beginners will need more recovery time than advanced lifters because they're going through the adaptation phase.
