Glad to see you guys are safe out that way! The tornado that came through Elkhorn, NE hit my neighborhood. House is still standing, but needs extensive repairs that'll take into Feb, so hotel and rental living for us until then. What ALMOST hurts me more is the damage the lawn took. Between tornado debris tearing it up and then leaving glass and metal all over the turf and the emergency and cleanup crews driving all up and down our yard (corner lot location not so clutch right now lol) while it was soaked with rain, we have so much renovation to do.
Sorry for what you're going through. I feel you the most on the lawn situation though - but an opportunity to start anew next year. Hope you can find a silver lining :)
So sorry to hear that! When things get a little less chaotic and you're ready for renovation, reach out on my website contact and I'll see if I can help.
@@AK2CO yep, definitely looking forward to the challenge! Garage wall was ripped off with one half laying in the yard/neighbors yard and the half of it, along with a steel shelf and other garage contents fell on my mowers, so took the opportunity to upgrade to a zero turn. Already trying to make the best of it :)
@@ryanknorrlawncare I will definitely do that. Thank you. It's a shame too.. I over seeded with some Elite KBG last fall and things were coming along nicely! I had just put down some fertilizer the day before the storm too, so now the parts that aren't cratered are looking sharp lol. There's a ton of glass and nails in the yard, so I think the first thing I'll have to do is scalp it all, maybe run the dethatcher to try and loosen up the glass that's probably already settling, then shopvac the whole property or something lol
@@ryanknorrlawncareI just shot you a message through the form on your site. Figured I'd come back here and reply in case my message there comes across being against what you request in the notes on your form 👍
Turn that shipping container and then cut the side out near the green and turn it into a green side bar/ patio with a pergola attached. Would be nice for wives and kids to hang out at while the guys play.
At construction sites they put like 3-4in broken concrete or lime stone and that's like a perforated drain bed then I would put huge 2ft-3ft rock islands in places I want to take space so when you put dirt and plant stuff you open up space and give the plants roots space so later once all the bushes and grass and tree grow it can also allow little pools for natural irrigation and then you fill it and level it and plant a bed on top when it's all established and have cover and shade put benches and a grill area
Man you have definitely made documenting of lawn care (etc) an artform... you probably pioneered it even, the cinematography element in this genre? Keep it up man and good luck going foward with all the projects!
I live in north dakota and not having any snow cover my lawn came out of winter really thin and not to healthy. Time to fertilize and pour the water to it
I assumed the shipping container was a temporary thing while you got the land established. Do you consider replacing the container with a permanent storage shed? Maybe get your home builder back out to build a matching structure?
My home has a medal roof and I also have a medal fence and I love it. When it rains the medal rook is loud but I love it reminds me of the good ol days.
As well Ryan I don't know if you've used the Scott's lawn app, but you should do a video comparing all Scott's products to what you have with lawn solutions and your products on your site that way. I know exactly what to substitute
Your videos are awesome and helpful. Would it be possible to pay you a fee to look at a few pics and videos to confirm the types of cool season grasses in my yard?
Hey Ryan, quick question. I just dethatched my lawn, which is mainly tall fescue, and I'm looking to fertilize it this week. I have a few bare spots that I wanted to level with sand/topsoil and add Kentucky bluegrass seed to, but every fertilizer I found says not to use it until the seed has been mowed a few times. Will fertilizing with a Lesco 20-0-3 Weed & Feed help fill in my bare spots & I skip seeding altogether, or do I have to seed first and wait a few weeks before fertilizing?
Dude I bought some of your RTF seeds early last November, I aerated , seeded and top dressed, I wasn't sure if the seeds did anything or if the grass just greened up from the fertilizer, so I seeded some pots the first of April with your RTF and Scott's tall fescue seed they both germinated in less than 10 days the Scott's really kick in faster and thicker but after month the RTF started spreading and the blades are wider, greener, grows faster healthier and takes less water, I would strongly recommend your RTF, I live in the Bay area California.
I've been taking it indoors because of the storms and have to get all of the plots cleaned out of mulch but it will be back in action once I get that done.
@@ryanknorrlawncare awesome thanks for the reply. I enjoyed your review. Thinking about picking up a Luba myself. Cut down on the regular maintenance, though I do love mowing as well, more time for the family and other pressing projects
I wouldn’t get a smaller sea can, I’d keep the one you have because sures hell if you get the smaller one you’ll wish you kept the bigger one. As long as you have the room of course.
The water coming out of the field is filled with a lot of sediment so it would be never ending to clean it out and mostly dry when we aren't getting 5 inches of rain in a week :)
After a few cloudy and rainy days, i het mushrooms in my lawn. They die once the sun is shining for a few days. What isbthe reason for the mushrooms? Last year i was not having so many mushrooms

Projects are coming along great! That's cool that your friend had the rocks for you 👍
Man you got a lot of projects going on...and weather. Looking forward to seeing all those test plots again through the seasons

Ryan, it would be so cool to have some Italian cypress lining either side of your driveway up to the house!
I’m loving the progress. Nice job. 👏👏👏
It's looking very good! I hope Ernie is doing OK...
Looks like it’s coming along nicely
Amazing property
The rock border looks great!!
Very cool lighting when you were testing the blades there
Yep that's where the sun shines through the windows on our garage doors. Great spot
Retention pond and island green … win win
Fairway and green area look playable now, in my opinion. Great work Ryan!! Rest of the projects looking good as well. 👍
I've played the course a few times. Just can't putt haha
brother! the golf green is fantastic idea! 👍

You should have your shipping container painted with your logo.
Great updates!

You should make a zip up lawngoals hoodie. In 2x lol. I’d be all over it.
Looking good brother
That little barley would want you to drink a little Keystone after you mowed it.... at least that front lawn is buttery smooth!
we need an update on the meadow area in the woods!!!!!
Beautiful piece of property. Wonder how many acres.
I assumed the shipping container was a temporary thing while you got the land established. Do you consider replacing the container with a permanent storage shed? Maybe get your home builder back out to build a matching structure?
It will be cheaper to keep what we have and also it's golf ball proof
Front lawn looking great brother but we know you, that brown is in for a hell of a ride in the coming year!
How does the hail sound on a tin roof?
My home has a medal roof and I also have a medal fence and I love it. When it rains the medal rook is loud but I love it reminds me of the good ol days.
Id say keep the green hard to hit would be more fun . Are you going to reseed with bentgrass ?
May is the best!

Definitely need to get drainage ditches and swales in and stabilized asap so ur not having dirt eroding and washing around
How is the campfire lawn looking?
Looks great, I've used mulch glue in the past and that stuff locks the mulch in place really good, I don't know if that could work for you or not
It would be like 20k sq ft of mulch. Not worth it in my opinion

Smokie and cool round here today Ryan, so I guess I'll watch The Jays - Twins game... I know you are a Twins fan... but I'm, rootin for the Jays.
Reach out to a local spray can artist and have him paint the shipping container with a mural of a golf scene. I think that would look good.
Are you still using your Swardman, or are you switching to the Greensmaster?
That fertilizer prill size in the opener was a lil large for my preference. 😉
So my rye grass from you is coming In the back but the back is not really haha
preemergent, weed fabric, smooth river rock along your intended stormwater paths
new border looks great. also, how are you getting on with the gm1600? would it be suitable for a small home owner lawn, about 5000sqft?
Just depends on how much turning around you have to do. I really enjoy mine

Where did you rent the top dresser from other videos. I can't find it. Would like to save my back some trouble
I own one
If it's a winter annual then surely it'll die off this summer. Since you're mowing it won't go to seed and should be looking good next season. 👍
Crossing my fingers
How’s the Luba doing through all this rain etc? Still using it?
I've been taking it indoors because of the storms and have to get all of the plots cleaned out of mulch but it will be back in action once I get that done.

Why fight it? Make a water hazard right next to your green.

He beat me to it. I agree.
@@justinstamper9810 Also can't do it because the main line irrigation is there
What do you think is causing the phosphorous deficiency that I assume you have in the front yard, if you're applying an 18-18-18?
I'm spraying very low doses

Organic Matter breaking down and the right environment for them to grow. Nothing to worry about
I still owe you a house warming delivery of coors!
Don't get too crazy with expanding that green...you need some room for bunkers with Ohio white sand.
Mulch glue
Need more robotic mower footage…
