- In this episode of Combat Approved, the viewers will see the best Russian grenade launchers that have no analogues in the world. The most common RPG-26. The most armor-piercing RPG-28. And the most accurate RPG-29 Vampire, which our military calls the anti-tank sniper grenade launcher. @@jasip1000 The one that was previously doing the commentary was much better. The text to be read was not either "This is best in the world" kind propaganda but more honest and didn't really take a note about west but was just simply ignoring west as "one that needs to be beaten". Maybe some didn't like that.

@@krisguntner4805 Actually US were first with the first proper shoulderfired, reusable rocket propelled grenadelauncher, the Bazooka in 1942 then the Germans with the Panzerschreck in 1943
@@Daniel-jg8ff The panzerfaust was fully capable of being shoulder fired and aimed with a sight.
It was disposable just like the m-72 law was designed to be but that doesn't change the fact it was the first rpg launcher and mass produced no less.

The precursor round is fired shortly before the main round and acts as a decoy, tricking the target's active protection system (APS) into engaging it. The APS is not ready to engage again until 0.2-0.4 seconds later, allowing the main round time to hit the target.
@@Daniel-jg8ff Yes, but the Israelis developed a specific APS called “Trenchcoat” that specifically protects against things like the RPG-30. It is used to supplement the standard APS on their tanks.

The rpg 28 is capable of piercing the front of the abrams. The rpg 29 can pierce sides except with tusk 2 reactive armor suite.

There is a video of a rock that defeated 4 hits from RPG-7 and is on UA-cam. That rock basically ate up 4 RPG rounds like it was nothing lol.

And RPG-28 "Klyukva"(cranberry). See, means nothing. Russian soldiers don't like pathos names like "vampire" - it's marketing of a new era, commercial.

@@abisalpha no tank is invincible the Iraqis where able to disable a few M1s during the first part of the Iraq war by getting engine shots from above with just rpg7s but it’s still a 1 in a million shot.
@@jesseterrell9354 True but I was simply referring to for instance the Front armor of the Tank and not a weak spot where 900mm would not be sufficient enough / That's when firing Multiple Rockets (a volley) close to the Same spot will go through Even if it's the strongest most armored part of the Tank
So basically, you don't have a 1500 mm penetration capable Rocket
So you & some guys simply shoot 3 smaller Rockets with 500 mm penetration capacity to Go through that strongest armored spot on the Tank and If it has reactive Armor, then simply make it 4 or 5 Rockets close to the Same spot

The video they showed of the Merkava IV was actually the RPG29 being intercepted by its Trophy APC and being defeated and the video of the Abrams was from a captured Iraqi Abrams tank, not US, being detonated by ISIS using explosives not an RPG.
