Im newer to sneakers so im glad next year all the og/oldheads from the early days of air jordans and “oldishheads” (late 90s early 2000s kids) are getting classic pairs they can get from when they were young. Now for context im 24 and started collecting and wearing jordans last december after a freind gifted me royal reimagines (great for a “first pair” would reccomend it for someone new to sneakers) during a sale before christmas……so yea ever since i joined the sneaker game and im glad some pairs from my childhood and hs years that i never got and og pairs older sneakerheads had in their younger years are returning.
I was telling my kids if I remember correctly these came out on Halloween and I have a picture wearing them walking in the house. I was about 15 years old. Later when my son was born in 2005 they retrod and we both had them. I have a picture of him sitting on my tailgate with red overalls and a red hat. I'm definitely getting them and Im gonna try to get him to get a pair even though he doesn't care for them
This is reminding me of when kids back in the day would get the black rope laces with the little bits of red or the black oval laces with the red seams for these sneakers. I saw both growing up. Thank you Foot locker for always having those choices back in the day lol

It's 20 after 10 on drop day and to my surprise, I hit. After my last few retail Ls in a row I wasn't feeling good about hitting this pair. BUUUUUT, here we are and mine are secured. So I thought I'd stroll my favorite people reviewing them. Probably should have done that before going for them but I do stuff backwards alot. Super stoked on getting these in hand.
I wish I had gotten the wolf grey and Black/white the last couple of years. There are just so many releases I do not have the bread or room for everything I want.

Let me let you know something. The 2 little red lines that's in the back of the shoes. They are supposed to be the back of the red lights for the Ferrari. They say, don't you supposed to be the Ferrari 14 right? Think about it the 2 red spots in the back. Supposed to be the back of the lights. For the back of the Ferrari car in other words.

Hi. The leather of this "pretty" AJ14 seems stiff to me, right? Because for an OG Jordan could have done much better for the quality of the materials. I will never understand these decisions. If future retro reissues are of the same quality, my banker should be happy with my savings. 😏
Idk which to get these or the fear 4 (never had 14s since im iffy if they will fit my style) hows the fit and materials compare vs other models. Are these bulky? Anything i should know about 14s i probably dont know? Hows the quality?
It depends if you’re an OG colorway collector or don’t care to collect any good colorway of a particular model? I would go with these based on retail/resell price. Fear 4s will most likely sit and will be reselling for a couple dollars above retail, retail, maybe even below retail. These will most likely sit as well. But, will resell for a lot more money once sold out, making it a bit more difficult to buy.
@@CJTheeOne I wasn’t referring to as you reselling them. I was referring to as what they’ll go for in the resell market. 14s tend to resell for more since they’re more obscure. 14s ever rarely release. Especially in OG colorways.
14s definitely aren't comfortable. I'll have to disagree. Even the OG black toe and playoff I had in '98 weren't that comfortable. Fast forward many years later, the toro 14 was the next 14 I bought since '98, and they can't be on feet all day. They don't have enough comfort and softness like 13s and legend blue 11 lows.
I’m sorry Seth but I’m gonna have to correct you. These 2024 version is not at all close to the OG pair. 1st the leather on the panels on the OG is smooth leather. And these have tumble leather. 2nd the toe box is longer on these compared to the OG’s and lastly, the air vent on the side, although functional unlike previous models of the 14s the vents do work to get air inside the shoes. The OG’s had the vent more open than the new retros that have that small piece of plastic on the lower part of the vent. If you are looking for a way better shape and model. The 2014 is way better than these.

These and the Oxidized are best 14s of all time, I had original oxidized, bought retro, then found another original pair for a deal and bought again.
