Tinker Hatfield would take all the philosophies of a high performance car and morph it into a beautiful, functional basketball shoe . Hell yeah, G. The 14s. The 5s. The 4s. The 9s. The 6s. Gang violence was through the roof when they dropped. You couldn’t wear them shits in certain areas of the city. My uncle remember when the 5s dropped back in 1990. Those things were all over the news constantly. Sports Illustrated dedicated a whole magazine cover story for it. “You’re Shoes or Your Life” was the title of it. I still have that issue in my storage unit. I was 3 at the time my moms bought it for me - and the shoes 😆. Man. What a fucking time.

Being a nostalgia sneaker head, I love the 14 Js just for the Last Shot. I remember the cover of Sports Illustrated with Jordan hitting the Last Shot. The 14s remain my second favorite Jordan sneaker after the Jordan 6 black infrared.
I feel like the Jordan 14’s are one of the underrated Jordan’s we don’t see that much of. Hopefully we’ll see them more. The black toe ones are my favorite and the ones I played in high school and a little in college. Keep up the great work guys! 👟

The “winterized” 14s that came out last year was a super sleeper not a big fan of 14s but I found myself loving them probably wore them more than any other shoe I have

Thanks for this one Brian I really love the Jordan 14 to me it is the highest evolution of all of the Jordans because I was definitely not a fan of the 15th I remember commenting to my little brother when I first purchased my pair of black toes back in the late 90s and I said there will never be another shoe more aesthetic than this and soon thereafter he had his pair and I stand by that to this day and I love my 14s

I have the OG Last Shot’s (worth over $500-600 nowadays) and I absolutely love them for their comfort and the pure nostalgia. I remember watching the Bulls vs Jazz championship on WGN back in the day with my Dad and seeing MJ’s iconic Last Shot. Legendary. 🐐🏆

I feel that since it’s way more hype behind Jordan 1s, 3s ,4s & 5s The 14s are another retro that doesn’t get a lot of love nowadays. I just copped those Winterized 14s on a restock and I swear that’s a beautiful shoe that people slept on the material is magnificent.

I recently copped the Black and White 14s. They’re the only 14s in my collection. They never appealed to me until this colorway came out. The fit was kinda tight in my normal size. I had to exchange them and go up a full size. They immediately became one of my favorite pairs on feet.

I spent an entire summer lovingly staring at the XIV’s while I worked at a Sports Authority as a 2nd summer job. ❤️ They we’re way past my pay grade at the time…I was really happy I got a pair of the Hyper Royal XIV’s over 20 years later.

The Jordan 14s is the one and only shoe that my father ever bought me that was chosen by me. There were $150 dollars ; which was a lot of money for shoes back then. He agreed to buy them for me if I got a 4.0 in my grades and paid half ($75) via my allowance. I was 15 years old at the time and I was so excited for the shoes. They ran small so they were a bit uncomfortable and I was still exited to wear them. The first time I wore them the Jumpman crest on the side of one of the shoes fell off. I was devastated, I tried to exchange them since they were obviously defective from factory. They had completely ran out of stock. I am now 41 and I still have the shoes. I took incredible good care of them. I cleaned them after every use and it still upsets me every time I have to see the side of the shoe with the missing Jumpman.

What a time to be alive man. Even though I was 3-4. Same shit happened with the 4s and 6-9. And the 14s dropped news like this stretched all the way to NYC. Shit was wild. Jumpman’s kicks been poppin for a long while. Lol.

Honestly, I would like to see a video twice as long. I feel like I didn’t know it even more! A good amount of the video was a commercial and the other part of the video was a news clip.
2:40 Current retros of the 14 starting with the Laney colorway this year have an updated insole where it would actually allow proper airflow from that 'exhaust' in the inner area of the midsole to function properly for breathability. Back then, the insoles kinda blocked that hole. Thank Weartesters for that info.

Definitely 1 of the best looking Jordan’s and there’s so much you can do with the construction of this model in terms of color ways. The last shots were all black with just a gold Ferrari Jumpman emblem on the outer collar. Then a little red on the tip of the tongue on the back with the 23 and then extending the holographic red carbon fiber plate up the side is the main eye catching feature of MJs last shoe as a Bull. The 11,12,13 & 14 are all so different in terms of design from 1 to the next I believe Tinker Hatfields creativity as an artist was peaking during those years.
I got, black toe, last shot, and candy cane. Got em all on good deals and the material on them is so clean and amazing quality. But the smell.... that smell is so unique, they just never made them the same.
