I wonder what path Buddy would have followed had Larry not lent him the money for the Stratocaster, clothes, car etc.. Larry is as much a part of the Buddy Holly Story as anyone. Thanks Larry & Travis and the Holley family !

Such a cool recording! Thank you for doing this.
This touched me as an older brother. There's nothing brothers wouldn't do for each other.

I think we all owe your Grandfather a great deal of debt. Clearly, Buddy and his music may never have been if he didn't get the encouragement and support he was given by your grandfather. We owe thanks to the whole Holley family for the happiness Buddy gave us and future music lovers.

@@crosseyedone7960 thanks that's so nice of you to say. My grandfather was the best and I took care of him the last years of his life, and even then if he talked about Buddy it would bring him to tears.

Larry great interview with Larry Holley talking about Buddy, his brother. Larry Holley was a beautiful person and believed in Buddy and encouraging him with his music. Now Larry Holley is with the Lord, Buddy, his wife, mother and Dad and other loved ones. Buddy's music 🎶 will live on. God Bless 🙏❤️

Alvin, thank you for watching this special video and for your comment. God bless you my friend. Please share this story. This is the eve of Buddy's plane crash. His last concert in Clear Lake, Iowa, February 2, 1959 at the Surf Ballroom. About 1 AM CST they took off in a snowstorm from Mason City, Iowa, headed towards Fargo, North Dakota, and 6-8 minutes later he (22), Ritchie Valens (17), The Big Bopper, (JP Richardson 26) and their pilot, Roger Ferguson (21) all perished a single engine plane crash in a cornfield in Iowa. I've been to the crash site in Iowa, I've been to Buddy's grave in Lubbock. "The day the music died!!"

When Holley charter I bet he put down the weight of those two smaller guys and then he swap out for two real heavy guys. And they were seated in the rear seats causing the pilot not able to get lift in the tail.. thanks. Me thinks.
