I got banned from hunt the other day. Issued one for “tea bagging”. I had video proof that I was literally crouching near a players body because I was being shot at. Ban got lifted but these bans he handed out for nothing sometimes.

My Xbox account is banned until 12/31/9999 so I know the feeling.

As a Xbox owner who has hundreds of pounds worth of games and rarely plays multiplayer this is a big fear of mine. I could easily live without Xbox live but not without my games which I spent so much on. I think Xbox should be able to stop people playing with others as it's within their capability but still allows exclusive single player in that situation. Most people who get banned will just create new accounts and usually just play a few games so it does not effect them as much as it effects users like me.

I’ve gotten a ban because my ex husband-playing a completely different game on his own Xbox but within earshot-called his brother a bitch and my mic was sensitive enough to pick it up.
No warning, just straight banned from Xbox live. I got it overturned but had “avoid me” on my profile and had to get THAT overturned.

When Halo 5 released I went 30-5 on a swat match and the game thought I was cheating and I ended up with a 3 day ban. Developers really need to fine tune their banning. I'm sure there's a way to program it to differentiate a cheater from someone who gets lucky and has 1 good game.
The funny thing is that everyone claims this and then when the devs come in, 99% of the time it's bullshit and they were actually cheating

This happens too opten in PvP games. The opponent can just "report you" to get you removed from the match, and banned, so they can WIN the match. If they feel somebody is "to good," they'll get them removed. Most of these do not seem like legit bans.....they seem to be more like false bans due to somebody reporting them for no reason. Seems to happen a lot to streamers..."Watch me get this streamer banned because I do not want him/her streaming me."

I love how a lot of live bans like this I see are completely random and confusing, yet we can watch an exploiter live and report them for 6 months straight in the same game and they'll persist.

The itztimmy ban in valorant was actually because his account wasn't supposed to be banned until after stream. He was doing a marathon to radiant on stream and riot devs informed him that his account will be banned for smurfing after the stream. Riot reinstated the account and he finished the marathon.
Some of these bans seem like the viewers are just mass reporting them. That's what I speculate in clips like forsen's clip.
