- Big Chief had a tough road to winning the Colorado no prep kings with some fast competition. This is big chief's first no prep kings win and it was impressive with big chief beating some fast racers. There was no gimmie wins with his win.Can big chief continue the momentum going into Ohio next?

i only watched no prep last season when he arrived... although i like Ryan cos he is hardcore and races most of the time... but Big Chief and Murder Nova are what i like the most

They didn't show it but the best part was Big Chief coming back from the win with his lights flashing and him so happy jumping out of the car. You could just feel the excitement.

Chief goes to a couple of races and wins already and there's guys and girls that have been out there for multiple seasons and haven't won yet. That tells you 1 thing. Chief can drive. 👍🏻

Big Chief, the John Force No Prep burnout KIng!!
You do know they run a points series for no preps and chief hasnt won more than 1 or 2 events, Mike Muerrilo won Championship and Fireball is on track to win the 2nd one Im pretty sure, thats per every event round after round. Thats when your the John Force of Championships 100-150grand and the king title.

Are they only going a 16th of a mile? What's the point? Their burnouts are going further than the race...
1/8 mile. chief (and some others) are doing regular burnouts< and then rolling to the 330'. IDK if its for showmanship, or they just think its cool. he did do some john force TFFC burnouts though. 1/8 mile is more common than 1/4 too

Firstly I'm a fan of Big Chief but I'm so so puzzled by one thing. Let me say that I'm now retired at 70yrs but am still a fan of the races. Here in the UK we used to do it slightly differently (oh, I was the starter for 8.5 years) and in the start area we (I) would only allow 3 crew pre car 1 fire marshal per lane + 1 lane marshal each side, that's 11 people (including me) forward of the bleachers only you guys seem to allow many time that number, maybe 10 times that, just behind the cars, filling the area needed by start area safety crew. It's not safe so please explain it to me. Thanks

uhplumber These guys are chickens. They do no prep because they’re afraid to get on a real track with bite and go two hundred miles an hour. The other reason They do this is none of them have the intelligence to read a time ticket at the dragstrip and know what’s going on

Disco Dean has been a prepped-track bracket racer for close to 20 years, Rich Bruder has made a name for himself by makimg 200mph 1/8th mile passes at prep events. Axman was also well-known amongst 275 prep racers for years, B-Rad still bracket races on prepped tracks every weekend, Jeff Lutz and Larry Larson are Drag Week legends.. ffs, even Chief does his share of prepped races. Back when he still ran his pro-mod, he had a full-on NHRA license, ran 3.90s at the 1/8th, and even tried qualifying for the U.S. Nationals.

Only really a few genuine good ones out of the 405, Dom, Ryan, Roberts, and James...if you still count him 405. Dave's ok but I get tired of the arrogance. I like most of the Memphis crew. NOLA...all mostly a bunch of bitches. Bird brothers are ok. As far as the rest of the No Prep...as far as the really good ones...Brent Austin tops the list, Pace, Kelly, Bruder brothers and some others are all pretty good dudes.

Does anyone with Racing knowledge can tell me why do some of the top guys like Birdman are switching over to single instead of twin turbos??
Its a matter of a weight restriction that is lifted with a single so they can be lighter and still produce the similar HP with a large single

With less weight any of the cars are faster
research "pro charger" It's a totally different system than just a single turbo. Pro chargers are mechanically driven, regular turbos are air driven by exhaust gasses. The pro charger spins up faster. In these 1/8th mile drags it takes almost the entire 8th mile to fully spin up a standard turbo. (That's why Big Chief catches up on the "big end") pro chargers also help engine longevity by not having to high rev the engine to spin up a standard turbo on the start line, less heat is recirculated because they don't use exhaust to spin the turbo. Also if you noticed, they added 100lbs of weight to the pro charger cars. So the weight advantage went out the window.
