  • SORGHUM CHAPATI INGREDIENTS 100g sorghum flour, 300g wheat flour, 100g whole - meal flour, Cooking fat, salt to taste(optional)
    (YIELDS 15 PORTIONS )
    PROCEDURE
    1. Warm the water and add salt to taste
    2. Mix sorghum,whole meal and wheat flour together and sift
    3. Gradually add the warm water into the flour and knead into a stiff dough
    4. Place the dough onto a clean surface, sprinkle with flour and continue kneading until the dough is smooth and non-sticky
    5. Place the dough in a bowl, cover with a damp cloth and allow to rest for 30 minutes
    6. Divide the dough into 15 equal balls
    7. Roll out each ball into a circle and brush with melted cooking fat 8. Roll the circle into a cylindrical shape then swirl it into a ball
    9. Roll out each ball into a 2cm circle and shallow fry on both sides to a golden brown colour
    10. serve with a stew, vegetable or a non alcoholic beverage
