You're correct about the [Time] Travel screw. Adjusting the parameter toward "Then" reduces the cutoff frequency of a high-cut filter, progressively removing more top-end. Additionally, the amount of total harmonic distortion (THD) introduced to the signal is increased. Thanks for the awesome review!

Yo this plugin is dope but that beat is incredible man!! Simply phenomenal! Outstanding mate!! 🔥🔥🔥 The pocket on those drums is immaculate and that ear candy in the background is mesmerising! I get your excitement bro!! Definitely feeling the energy!! Incredible review 💯
i like that i barely grasp what it's doing...yet what it's doing is VERY interesting and rich...and then interesting again. fascinating device going to be worth taking the time to become acquainted. oh...i like your tune btw!
I love the design philosophy behind Neold, just 3 German dudes who come together to build one off rare pieces of hardware just for modelling. A real labour of love, Phil's Cascade might be my favourite.
Even without Wunderlich, you can hear something there. But Wunderlich definitely gives it that next level feel and vibe. Nice work man. Just got this the other day. So looking forward to giving a go with a few tracks.
This plugin makes the drum samples sound like a real hip hop record, crunchy and full of character versus without the drums sound like a drum computer 8well, a bit better than a drum computer but boring). I like it, too. What you would need to do to truly compare is compensating for the loudness difference. When a plugin makes the signal louder, then you're not only comparing the difference in sound.
To clarify though apart from the end eq setting all of the settings were hitting the same peak level. So the loudness increase is as a result of the saturation. And the amazing thing about saturation is gaining perceived loudness whiles having same peak level!
P.s. you should check out the MDN P455 Sidecar by Pulsar Modular if you haven't already, the compression is awesome in that too. It's the king of glue. Sounds like the Wunderlich might rival it though, but the Sidecar gave me the same excited feeling you've got with Wunderlich right now
Amazing I actually own it. But have been using the eq part way more, I need to sit with the compressor longer, that’s only because I own Pulsar Modular Abyss compressor which feels like every compression in one 😅✊
Thankyou truly. Honestly before UA-cam I hadn’t thought about realeasing my own stuff but I’m really warmed by how many people are asking so I’m going to try and arrange something.
HEy man you should check out the Unfairchild compressor plugin by Undertone! Released recently. Coded by the guy from Kiive, consulted/tested by Eric Valentine (an engineer who owns a hardware Unfairchild), it sounds REALLY good. Really fat and juicy, round and pillowy but firm. A nice natural transient which you don't often hear from digital comps. I've gotten a feel for your taste a little bit through your vids and i'm tellin ya, you'll love it
I need to trial it, but I'm just curious how its different than saturation, and if you can just a high cut filter, and raise the gain...like with decapitator. They have crazy deals right now with the 2 for $40..but i also need to stop buying plugins..
So you can add a hi cut after with an eq but it’s actually a compressor with a ton of character so the difference is you can use it as a super characterful comp and sat. Sometimes I just use it for tone. Decapitator is a must have that everyone needs but this is a specialist. If you like the ton, then this is the only place you can get it. It’s unique and sounds like itself. It’s a must have for me. I would absolutely not hesitate if you can get it on 2 for £40 😅😅😅
I hadn’t thought about releasing them on streaming, I just make them for my own enjoyment but it seems a few people have been asking so I may look into this if the demand is there. Follow me on Instagram: Alexemusic I make little short music videos to some of my beats and have them there.
