I love trails like that, riding a bike is so much better than walking because you have a breeze on your face, the bugs generally can't keep up with you and you can see so much more. It's good low impact exercise and good for burning off that extra weight. If you want cardio, you can crank it up some and do that. I love it, I ride a stationary bike most nights, but I'd definitely do that if I had trails like that nearby to use.
I SO desperately want the new Priority Gemini Smart.Shift in titanium. The only problem is that I HATE drop bars. If the Gemini had a flat bar it would be the bike I've been wanting for years. Of course you could convert it but good luck finding the parts to do so! I really can't believe how close to my idea of perfect the Gemini is.
Man, that's a fun looking trail! I just got the Apollo a couple weeks ago -- it's a great bike! I did end up putting a ShockStop Stem and Seatpost on it soon after buying it. My lower back was screaming at me after only 12 miles - now I'm back up to my 20-30 mile rides without any issues! BTW, keep riding as it's a great way to lose weight! I lost nearly 40lbs that way!
Man that's crazy, I started riding road bikes like a year ago coming from enduro MTB. I gotta say, I was surprised to find out I actually enjoyed it, especially the mellow and peaceful type of rides like the one shown here. It keeps things fresh.
I'm too old for MTB but not for mild trail, rugged dirt roads, gravel, and road bike riding so I took my Trek Marlin 5 and made a hybrid that will do all that and more. I do like the belt drive setup on the Priority bikes. One day I hope to get one. PS: Real men have kickstands! 😁😇
If you get ahold of priority you can get a smaller chain ring up front and or a bigger cog in the back to give you lower gearing- but you’ll lose the high gearing a bit. Or get a Rohloff 14 speed hub, they’re the best, but not too cheap, but they have the best gear range and shifting, and durability.
With all the distance you ride have you ever looked into airless tires? I like the concept of the solid rubber Gecko tires from England. Unfortunately they are not available yet.
I think big BMX bikes are the best bikes MTB'rs dont know about. They are cheap enough you can take them around town for errands, they can withstand bunnyhops and other MTB mo es if you want to practice. If you get a singlespeed you can ride curbs to practice skinnies without worrying about shearing off your deraileur. PLUS, they take so little maintenence and the parts are cheap. Great 2nd bike.
nice matty!! not so sure bout dat apollo belt drive bike.but it's a gravel bike and thats a good thing. it looks cool. tell me about the belt drive matty! how does it ride? is it quite? i really like gravel. i ride a marin nacasio plus steel frame!!
Still enjoying this bike? I ordered one the other day since it was on sale, mainly for riding New England winters/rainy days when I don't wanna pull out any bike with a chain/cassette. Also, have you looked into changing the sprockets in order to make it a more efficient climber?
You should try SPD pedals and shoes, They make a huge difference. The feeling of being properly connected to the bike is much better than flat pedals in my view. I started off with toe clips in the 90s but have been riding with spds for the last 20 years

If the trails and roads are not too hilly, this is a fun bike because it is low maintenance, quiet, and reliable.

This gentleman is definitely a reason why I love biking so much. It’s been a major game changer
Awesome scenery! I really need to try out a gravel bike, looks great fun if just cruising on gravel roads, bike paths and roads.

Awesome Bike!
I saw a video where they put a smaller chainring on the front for a lower climbing gear...
Thanks for sharing your ride, and the Priority. I’m thinking about the Apollo for my next bike😊

🤔 if you think you’re hooked with those bikes, I was to until I found, Micargi’s and Tracer’s stretched cruisers👍🏽
Gravel bikes: The best bikes MTBrs don’t know about.

Enjoyed big time. From Hawaii
I NEED the Priority 600X . Need? Well, I have been dreaming about it for a while I guess is a more accurate statement😁
I love my Apollo. On year and counting.

I love this bike still! I thought about changing the sprocket but haven’t done it yet. It’s one of my favorite bikes
@@MattyActive Good to hear! Mine is getting dropped off today.
road riding is the best for getting strong on a bike.
Put on that 40mm Fox 32TC 👍😎
Is your seat high enough ?
cuz we're not gravel riders maybe? Joking aside, I will say that I like the speed gravel bikes have on dirt. Overall pretty comfortable too
cool intro man hahaha
I was like that's a great bike then i saw the price :)) Hopefully i can find a used one
Oh no. You went with gravel. I am still trying to figure them out.

Ehh yo, what do you think about putting flat bars on the bike?
I’ve actually heard that it’s pretty legit! I might actually try it.
After having my 600x for a few months, I really want to sell my James road bike and get an Apollo
It’s definitely an awesome bike. So smooth, simple, and quiet.
What's the trail again?
Too lazy to restart to restart video?
🤝🏾🇺🇸💪🏾👍🏾
lycra is legit !
I thought you had a Fat Chance Bicycle...oops
