27:06 this was such a real moment. nikki couldn’t bear to lose teairra like she lost her brother and told her things that she needed to head which made me like her even more. not a lot of people like nikki but she’s the only person that i know was her real friend & really cared for teairra & her drinking problem.
I feel Nikki. I had a childhood friend who had a drinking problem and he ended up dying of acute alcohol poisoning at the age of 28 in December 2018. The dude always went overboard with the liquor day and night. I once told him to be careful because this pattern could kill him and it sadly did. I also had a drinking problem when I finished high school so it hit close to home. I couldn't say goodbye nor attend his funeral because I attended grad school in Paris, which is far from our hometown, and couldn't take days out of the office when I found out. Even today, his death hurts me beyond recovery because I tried my hardest to tell him about his patterns, the same ones I saw in me and Teairra and it cost him his life. I still miss TF out of my brother and his second niece came into the world on my 30th birthday this August. I see so much of Nikki in myself.
