Best decision was to epoxy all my countertops instead of buying new granite/quartz. Definitely saved a ton of money plus it looks 1000x better
i used their epoxy to make my parents shower and it turned out great. Only thing that im not sure about is how long it will last comparatively.
Great comment! Thanks for watching and taking the time to let is know your project turned out great 👍
@@jkultra2739 can we put hot utensils on it and are they fire proof
@@manishgonekar5831 yeah you can even put hot pans on it. I wouldn't actually do it for long periods of time tho.
Wow its amazing
Bro you just made me $4,400 with only a $300 budget.
*I really can not thank you enough.*
The best *subscription* I've ever made.
Wow... I can't believe how amazing that looks. I'd love to see this on a waterfall countertop.
I may have to kidnap the magic countertop fairy...…I absolutely LOVE the way epoxy makes countertops look so great with so little cost!!!
This is EXACTLY the finish that I'm looking for! Thank you!
We call them multi tools. I've been addicted to using this stuff and started offering it to clients, it's been a hit for the last couple years.
Mitch and team, you're so nice, supportive, Informative, and optimistic. Part of your brand.
Absolutely love white carrara marble countertops. This is exactly what I want for my kitchen and bathroom.
White countertops is the only right answer !!! I love it 🥰
Getting ready to epoxy bathroom walls and kitchen counters in my 100 yr old childhood home I'm restoring. This is perfect, thank you for the massive time spent making this video. A terrific gift of information I sorely need. And ii call it a multi tool and #1 and #2 are a draw....both georgous.
Great job, Mitch and crew! Very simple technique with million dollar results!
Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work!!!
"Buzz" tool is the most handy tool I have ever bought during my kitchen reno! We call it the "buzz-buzz" tool.
Love that I'm not the only one calling it a buzz tool!!!
Beautiful Mitch! So fun seeing you and Matt work together!
Simply amazing, you guys made it look so easy and fun.
Thank you for this video. Moving to my new place in less than a month, and definitely will be doing these exact (almost) epoxy counter tops in my kitchen and baths. I love the subtle differences in the whites that give it a stunningly beautiful, classic look. I will look for a color other than black for doing the veins, as I want the contrast to be very, very subtle. Beautiful work!!
You are so talented. Not just with epoxy, but with making and installing countertops!
Thanks for watching everyone! It was my pleasure surprising my good friends with a new kitchen. Let me know how I can help you!!
Good job Mitch, nice video!
Looks stunning Mitch! 👌🏻
You did a mixture of white dye then white-metalic. How did you get the White-Metalic color? I dont see a white-metalic dye option on the website 😕 Help! lol.
You can help by just doing what you do sir. What you are doing is making a difference and inspiring us out here. Thanks so much
I did a practice surface with a white tinted and black tinted epoxy and I have a lot of fisheyes. For 2nd coat, do I do same as you did here and do clear coat? Or do I do 2nd coat with same technique and colors I used the first time…
This is phenomenal work! I need to get my MDF and get my garage countertop done! This is motivation for sure!
Just what I’ve been waiting for! Thank you stone coat team ❤
Thanks for always making so many detailed videos! I love when you actually show all
Products used in more detail so non construction people can figure it out. All the measurements of boards for under the cabinets and sink placements are so amazing.
Wow!! That is BEAUTIFUL!! GREAT JOB!!
That’s what I want! I hope to make this my spring project.
You are amazing !!! I have never seen such detailed information as you explained it with extraordinary professionalism!!!! Incredible stunning artwork!!!!!
I've been using the Kreg jig ever since I bought one of the first ones at a wood working seminar in Grand rapids. It is made of aircraft aluminum with the steel inserts. I've had it for over 30 years and still use it at times. I also use a biscuit joiner on all of my glue ups. The universal tool is my "magic" tool..
Beautiful project! I love your videos!
So happy to see another video! Keep em comin Mitch!
That's looks amazing 🤩 love it. I'm also happy to be able to see the customer's reaction. 😊
Amazing Work!!! Thank you for sharing!
The bearded magical kitchen fairy did an incredible job!! 🧚♂️ I recognized the 'this could be a finish on its own" before the light black lines!! 👏👏 Luc, flip flops can work, just use press and seal wrap overtop!! Just ask Rhonda!! 🤣
Well done bearded magical kitchen fairy! Saving the world, one kitchen at a time.
Wow this looks great!! It’s just the look I want for ours. I’m super nervous about doing it myself though.
This was a fun one 🎉
I love the tutorials on how to epoxy countertops
i loved both ya did awesome
Fantastic Video!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO. THANK YOU SIR 🙏🏾
Loving the details here Mitch around other build considerations. Ardex, build-up strips.
Thanks, hope the video was helpful. How long have you been watching Stone Coat on UA-cam?
@@StoneCoatCountertops probably 3/4 of a year. Just got my second shipment in from SC, and the tracksaw attachment. It's go time in the next few weeks. About 40 sq ft. Kitchen w/island, two baths. Nervous, but committed.
wow. what an inspiration.
Buzz tool = multi-tool for me! It does so much!
Such a versatile tool 🔧 thanks for stopping by
Amazing job guys! Impressive
Thanks for watching, let me know if you have any questions 👍 I'd love to help u get a project started
Amazing! 😍
Awesome, thanks
Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge 😊😊😊
I love the biscuit joiner. I also have a problem saying oscillating tool so I say the vibrator and people love it
It looks beautiful. You have great skillz.
Im getting ready to redo the kitchen countertops and level a high top bar with the existing height of the counter top. I really like the almost satin like finish. Looks like real quartz. I'm going to order this same product colors, and top coat.
Great job! My heart wants to install a drawer in the added depth under the counter.
OUTSTANDING TRADE WORK!!! 😅
Have you worked with epoxy on a project yet? Thanks for stopping by
I really like your work. It was very informative and I am a new fan of epoxy counter-tops, and concrete driveways. Thank you for sharing this video with the world!!! The best part was seeing the owners of the house. I subscribed you deserve, and I liked. I will check out any other vids you uploaded. Now that you are an established rich business man send me some of your work shirts, work sweaters size Large and XL so I can advertise here in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The tape mask with the caulking is genious!!
Its the best way! perfect every time! I learned this Pro-Tip from a StoneCoat video a long time ago!
Awesome 👍👍👍👍💯✌
Excellent 👍
That is beautiful
Beautuful!
Hey guys I have a suggestion for you. When you apply the under coat to the bottom of the countertop, apply the topcoat as well. That will help the home owner with cleaning, especially if they have children. 😉
Keep up your videos.
You got this!!!
Now this is a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing, I'm doing this!
@@StoneCoatCountertops what kind of silicone did you use to attach the back splash?
I'm team biscuit dunker on my break 😅
Nice job in raising the worktops... I might have been tempted to add some draws in that extra space and take the backsplash to the end, to finish it off.
I was amazed at the results pouring three different shades and hand blending them made.
We were considering a large drawer, it would have been pretty shallow so we decided against it, great suggestions though. Thanks for watching!
@@StoneCoatCountertops A large shallow draw would be ideal for cutlery and utensils.
I agree. The backsplash should have continued to the end of the countertops but looks like an improvement compared to the old kitchen nonetheless.
I am on the team of letting my husband do it! lol. I will be doing the epoxy work however....cannot wait to send you pics!!
Luke #1😂😂😂......I want to do this.....looks like fun....prep is everything
Awesome job!
Thanks! I don't know why they would have put the peninsula so low like that in the 1st place! Have u worked epoxy on a project yet?
@@StoneCoatCountertops Seems like the older homes did that a lot. It looks much better leveled up to the other counter. Yes I remodeled my masterbath with a new 61 inch cabinet and made my own counter with MDF and Stonecoat Epoxy with a rock edge. I am in a 1995 manufactured home so not everything is level but I can honestly say I'm am proud of my work. Stonecoat is all that I will use whether for remodeling or for crafts. Thanks for all you do. I am always looking forward to new videos to watch. See you on the next one Mitch. 😊
BRAVO très joli👍
Amazing
beautiful
Amazing work guys...BTW Luk, boss is boss man. Mitch is best. ..lol
Please do a video of a plain white countertop. No metallic bling, no man made dark lines. Just super basic solid white for modern kitchens. How do they look?
Do you have any suggestions for a fireplace mantle. Love your videos been binge watching everything for ideas to remodel my house. Thanks
You can sneak into to my house anytime I would love to walk into this lol
How far from southern Oregon do u live?
Portland . I really love the videos and been watching them for quite sometime now however since I’m no handyman I’m afraid I’ll screw it up this is why I haven’t purchased from your page I guess I lack the confidence. I really would like to do my 2 bathrooms and my ugly granite countertops
🎉👍🏼 New sub👍🏼🎉😂 This is awesome
Thanks
When drying... Is it best in warm or cool temp.. (indoor)?
You guys are awesome your work is very professional I wish you lived near me, I have black granite and would love to change it to this white design!! so if your ever in Northern Ireland let me know!!! I know I'm only dreaming. Sincerely Very well done an excellent job 💙 and your both so happy at your work, 😊 God bless
I tend to use an alternating system to add strength and security. I put bottom pieces from one wall and add the piece to continue the run. I do dowels (usually 4) equally spaced, and then insert a biscuit in between each of the dowels (3).
then I lay the 90 degree piece the same way. Once it is set, I reverse order of pieces laid so that the first L joint is being covered by the second tier, and then the second L joint is created not in the same spot. very strong!!
Love this, I'd much rather be mega strong than skimping! This is the type of installer you want! Keep up the good work out there!
very inspiring
Thanks for watching and leaving such a kind comment. How long have you been watching Stone Coat on UA-cam?
@@StoneCoatCountertops what is the thickness of the resin?
I love the look of this countertop, as it flows naturally. My question is how do you prevent dust particles from getting into the epoxy while drying? Thank you for sharing your expertise and artistic expressions.

Hey Mitch , I typically do Tumblers and Mold casting using Stone Coat and Love Your products and Videos! I’ve decided to go All in and Epoxy Moms Kitchen Counter Tops , a-little intimating for such a Large project but Excited.. Can you suggest what Best epoxy Products I will need ? Sealer? Thanks in Advance
Great video, I know the deserving family you surprised. You are a good son Mitch!!!
Woooooooow!!!!
Absolutely beautiful update for your friends kitchen. You make these projects look sooo easy; you have the necessary tools & know how. Where are you located? Pls come update my laminate kitchen countertop.
Beautiful job and great video. What are the two raised areas with boards on the underside for? One is painted white and the other is painted grey. Also, why didn't you use tape on the edges and then remove it to allow the epoxy to spill over? Most of your videos I've seen do that. Please explain why you would or wouldn't do this step, so I can be sure to do it right for my project. TiA
Do you have a video showing how to prep and pour epoxy over and outdoor stone table? Has a few cracks in it
What an incredible instruction vid.
Just today I saw a random countertop on an advertisement that was selling a computer, but it was the counter that caught my eye. Now I want to make a similar thing. The counter was a soft whitish marble with occasional soft grey lines - very simple. But the backsplash was an I credible variation with pieces in a herringbone pattern. One piece was the color of the counter, sometimes the whitish background with little to no grey marbling, and other times more grey marbling, while some alternate pieces had a slight soft blush/pinkish tone here and there
The pattern and streaks placed at opposite positions of the whitish marble, and occasional pinkish tone here and there was stunning.
I'm thinking all the pre-cut herringbone pieces could be lined up and expoxied, then glued in place on a moveable surface and sealed, and then the whole thing applied on the backsplash.
Am I right?
You should redo a faded shower. I did mine with Rust-Oleum tube and tile spray cans. 90% satisfied with it but had tones of strips to sand and buff out. Next I'm going to do my bathroom counter top and I started to think maybe I should do both with the granite paint and epoxy to match
Looks great as usual TU! But using white will make the yellowing come out as it ages. Heard they might have some new material to prevent that. Just finished mine countertops with a Uba Tuba effect. Thanks ... for making that possible ...

Hi Mitch, In Australia we call that machine a Multitool.
How much does a project like this cost, if we do not want to do the work?
i know the tool as a multi tool and i have one they are excellent
It’s beautiful! How much would something like this cost for labor if I didn’t feel comfortable DYI?
I think both of you guys got it
What kind of silicone did you use to attach the back splash pieces?
These look great, did you use a gloss or matte UTC?
Hello I just need one tip for mane work come easy / what project do you use over for top coast protection??? Some polyurethane latex or different ??? Please help me with this thanks
What tips can you give on formica turned Epoxy copper countertops
For a white marble look. Should the base coat be white or gray. I read somewhere the gray can help with yellowing however I like more of a white with black line look
Keren sangat profesional
Wish you'd surprise me with a new white counter top.
How does the 'top coat' wear compared to just epoxy? Love the matte finish.
What type of wood do you use and why? Would love to tackle this soon. You guys are awesome!
I would love to have a step-by-step on how to do a marble counter tops I am so the seventy plus years young ❤❤
Margo
Hey any chance you can do another video on how to make new countertops that will hold an undermount sink? This one is fantastic, but I because it's such a unique kitchen I feel like there's lots of extra steps that make it seem hard to do. But I REALLY want to try this for my galley kitchen.
I need a kitchen fairy😏
