What did I do to celebrate? I went to a Croft track day and crashed it within 5 laps of the first session!

I am a rider and physio in the states and I really appreciate you speaking candidly about such a traumatic incident. Lessons learned to help other riders is such a crucial piece of learning not everyone is willing to share. I do believe that a clutch sided crash protector could have greatly reduced injury to your finger but hindsight is 20/20. Thank you for the crash analysis and for the great products Knox puts out. As a female rider not many companies take our styling and protection needs seriously.

@@loafnugget3088 sadly not, would love to offer policies outside of the UK but it's a not something we currently do.

Having raced a fair amount, biggest tips for trackdays… back off the pressures a little from road pressures. Keep your forearms flat and weight off your wrists. Give yourself time. Relax.

I was in that group and saw you on the floor. I thought it must have been a highside by the way you were crawling off the track.
Glad it was nothing too serious.
I hit the deck first session after lunch. Tyres were warm, but the track was freezing that day as you said, and lost the front into the second corner.
I wear Handroids too and got up without a scratch.👍

@@KnoxArmour I was fine thanks. Top quality riding kit makes the difference (Sidi boots, Scott leathers). Bike was OK too, so did a couple of sessions (slowly) in the afternoon, just to get over it. ua-cam.com/video/H-SS28I1-U8/v-deo.html
Glad to hear you are fine Aaron, I expect Geoff told you he did the same thing years ago at the same corner after blitzing past me on his 750. Only broke a gear lever that day, solved with a nut and bolt so could continue riding on the day.
12:10 absolutely toss a level guard on the clutch side. Takes the entire impact and leaves your hands in one piece if you low side on the left.
