My mom is Mexican, and I grew up with older relatives like this around. (The 'you want more tamales' scene was spot-on.) This movie absolutely destroyed me but I loved it. I normally do not cry at movies, but when Mama Coco started singing, there was some ugly crying and I'm not at all ashamed of it. In that moment I was grateful to Pixar for bringing back memories of my family. This is the most beautiful animated scene ever created.
Mt kids showed me this movie after my parents passed away. My mom oassed away six months before my dad. My dad had told me he had never missed any of my moms birthdays and he wasnt going to start now. He passed away 3 days before her birthday.
My grandma passed after a lengthy time with dementia, this movie came out and I will tell you this end portion destroyed my friends and I, sobbing like crazy. This is a beautifully done movie but definitely tore me apart.
When Coco acknowledges her daughter, it was also a huge moment because before she didn’t know her. Very emotional if you’ve seen loved ones lose their memory.
That's a beautiful movie! You know? I work in a nursing home as a nursing assistant and what you see in this scene is what is known as music therapy. Music is used to give the patient's mind an outlet, which activates their long-term cognitive memory so that they wake up, even if it is only momentary. I have seen this in my work and it is something wonderful.
The most heartbreaking realization of this movie is that with music in their lives, Coco probably would have been active for many years prior to her last moments.
There’s literally no other movie that has broken me so much as this one does. Both, grandma and great grandma are literally clear depictions of mine. My great grandma lost one of her legs in a motorcycle accident when she was young and my grandma always wore those aprons around the house.
Saw this movie with my mother, sister and my niece (it was quite rare for us to be together watching a movie in the theatre). At the end not a dry eye in the theatre. Such a great film.
This one of Pixar's best movies. The interpretation of the Day of the Dead as the setting with the perfectly complex story is so great. The title character seems so unimportant at the beginning and the movie takes you on such a journey to how important she is to both the living and dead of the family.
Watching it in theaters in a predominantly Hispanic area, all of the ugly crying at this part was prevalent. It only got worse when one year later in the movie, when Miguel and his family placed Mamá Coco’s picture on the alter, signifying her passing. Ohh my god the entire theater just bawled their eyes out (guilty as well).
I got a lot of crap from a friend who said i wasn't a man because i cried with this movie. But...then he watched it...he was balling like a baby and he apologized.
After my grandma died in 21 i was devastated n my niece was in the mood to watch every grandma heavy movie... moana, enchanto but coco fucked me up bad bad... don't get me wrong they all do but this movie makes me cry every single time.. it's my new favorite Disney movie lol
18:52 lol wtf? Ash just went in a totally different direction with that lol... no dude, her mom ripped the picture because she was mad at him, Coco kept the piece she ripped off. lol Coco loved her papa.
Great work man. 1:01 haha great reaction, I got emotional too. 1:452:06 Rukiya is good 5:29 haha the two friends 10:26 Coco too haha 13:09 Haha tough guys 14:00 haha his face 16:05 Clariss broke too

My Pop pop died of severe dementia, the only thing that brought him back towards the end was music. He loved to play the harmonica.

Nosotros los mexicanos sabemos que: "NO HAY MÁS MUERTE QUE EL OLVIDO, NO HAY MÁS VIDA QUE EL RECUERDO".
The way Mama coco smiles back to Miguel ❤

I'm an old broken army dog and this scene broke me like I was a little kid.
NO IMPORTA LOS AÑOS QUE PASEN, JAMÁS OLVIDARÉ A MI ABUELA NI A MIS MUERTOS
11:51 Oak's reaction from Badd Medicine is by far the most moving. He had just lost his dad before watching this. 😭

If you don't start crying when Mama Coco sings, there's something wrong with you.
Well I guess there something wrong with me
Today is my grandma's death anniversary. I watched this scene my tears flowed out unconsciously. RIP grandma ❤❤
I love this movie so much. Coco makes me think of my great-grandmother.

There's a quote from The Anime You Lie In April that fits
"One song can bring back a thousand memories."

Soy Méxicano, y esta película, me hizo llorar, apesar que soy un hombre de54 años, me removió!

This was one of the best scenes from this film. Wow! It is emotional yet, it is calming, as well. Thank you! =)
Besides of the plot and acts, I think Miguel's warm voice in high note touched our heart.
Pixar movies hit you in the heart and make you like it...♥️
This movie gets me every time.
Q belleza! Nunca te acabes mí México !🇲🇽 Para el mundo!
After the Lion King, this exact scene of Coco was the second time a Disney film reduced me to tears.
10:27 I was tearing up until bro said “Cuckoo” and I couldn’t help but laugh 🥹😂
El que no tiene corazon no llora con esa parte asi de simple
Es muy reconfortante saber, que la inmensa mayoría de las personas en el mundo, compartimos muy buenos sentimientos.

That hit the guy from pReview'd somewhere deep.
My dad passed 2 months before this movie I was not ready to see it yet
Keep it up brother. You’re doing awesome.
This was probably the best part of this movie. It was a great movie but I really related to Encanto more to this one. When Miguel sings, it hits me.
Mama Coco, who gave her life in the film, passed away a short time ago. ua-cam.com/video/xzIYZVlBczM/v-deo.html

Everyone getting all misty eyed. 😂
As they should. 😭

You need to do a compilation of Encanto's Dos Oruguitas. That one is another touching moment in a great Disney movie.
