After rewatching this because of your Q&A, this action could be quite popular on today's market. however, I think that to make it more palatable to modern enthusiasts, the changes needed to be made would probably be to make it into and market it as a "survival" shotgun. furniture would probably need to be changed to something more modern and the locking mechanism would also need to change. however, the action lends itself well to that purpose, I think, which is very desirable in today's market and would certainly be easy to sell as such because of how well it keeps out filth from the action and magazine. This style and system (or simply a clone of this weapon) would do so well today. Folding and tacticool guns are all the rage.
For every gun Ian touches, it's value increases.
0:14 "Call an ambulance but not for me!"
That intro was badass
He's such a cool dude
They made the gloomwood shotgun real
You know this gun would of been incredibly popular had its production lived to see prohibition era. Mobsters and robbers would die to get their hands on this guy just for the concealment potential
Gloomwood is wildin' rn
Burgess war ein sehr erfinderischer Waffenschmied! Diese Klappflinte ist so genial gebaut, daß man nur den Hut vor dem Erfinder ziehen kann! Selten habe ich so eine elegante Waffe gesehen!
It's cool to think that this was a big inspiration for the shotgun in Gloomwood
Seems like a useful tool for fighting drone warfare
After rewatching this because of your Q&A, this action could be quite popular on today's market. however, I think that to make it more palatable to modern enthusiasts, the changes needed to be made would probably be to make it into and market it as a "survival" shotgun. furniture would probably need to be changed to something more modern and the locking mechanism would also need to change. however, the action lends itself well to that purpose, I think, which is very desirable in today's market and would certainly be easy to sell as such because of how well it keeps out filth from the action and magazine. Winchester may yet hold the patent on this design, and are losing out on massive sales for the growing market for takedown rifles and shotguns.
I can't take your comment seriously, the King of Internet Trolls' face is too distracting.
Patent has long since expired. Expired over a hundred years ago.
I want one of these!
Only Teddy Roosevelt would respond to that display like he did.
The GloomWood Shotgun
How much?...Ok, 13 to 19,000...someone needs to make a new production version.
The pump action on this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen
Must be a market for this, hairs stood up on the back of my neck it's such a brilliantly designed firearm
This shotgun should be build again, if needed any improvement improved and manufactured with today's tolerances. It mixes nicely attributes from both break action and pump.
Oh shit it's the gloomwood shotgun
omg THIS IS HOW CAITLYN'S RIFLE WORKS IN ARCANE
1:15 is it just me or does some
one else find that oddly satisfying.
There is absolutely *nothing* about this gun that I didn't instantly and irrevocably fall in love with. Now I know for sure that America has at least one thing I want.
Thank you once again, Ian.
A paratrooper’s shotgun before the invention of the airplane...
Thank you New Blood Studios for making me aware of this gun.
This looks like that weird break action pump shotgun in Gloomwood.
exploitativity yea its exactly what its based off
the clean sound and look of the action cycling is fantastic, the fact that it folds is the icing on the cake. Thanks for showing such a remarkable weapon
Gloomwood time
If I had a gun license (I am Canadian), I'd gladly love to track this down. The unfolding mechanism is just too cool to pass up!
Canadians got it better than us Aussies
That is the most innovative shotgun design I have ever seen
You know what Doakes would say: "Surprise mother..."
A man of culture.
Man, I miss that show. 4 seasons was just not enough
This is my favourite shotgun. Such perfection
OH MY GAWD! I NEED ONE!!!
The police would be so spooked when they ask me what I hunt with and I just flip that thing outa my pocket xD
And then get blown away cause you threatened an officer.
Smoothest unfolding action I've ever seem.
