7:17 Jesus, how are you not out of breath, Erik? That's amazing
You guys shouldn't support MtG and WoTC. Bad company.
What happened to the time travel flash in the justice league? We only watch this version of the flash in this movie.
@@NoevNemesis what are you talking about? It's the same Flash. This movie canonizes the Snyder Cut, in which Barry reversed time
Do you think it´s possible that this version of Batman is (just like in the comic) actually Thomas Wayne? Keaton acts mysterious every time they call him Bruce but stops short of actually correcting them, and I noticed that when he touches the pictures, he very specifically traces over the forms of the mother AND the son, leaving out the father....
I'm still trying to understand why the multiverse scene was so focused on variants of Superman instead of variants of Flash. Especially since it is a Flash movie.
Zod is a fixed point
I think it’s because we see 2 versions of Batman in the rest of the film, like at least 3 versions of flash, but only 1 Superman, although it still doesn’t make much sense.
@@Stumme-40203 Fixed point
There hasn't been as many live action Flash characters that people recognize
@@NaturallyMe2011 It's because superman is a constant
Dark Flash needed more screen time in this movie, he had a compelling backstory and motivation to kill the Flash but wasn’t there long enough to showcase his abilities
Exactly how I felt no reason for him to only appear in 2 scenes in the entire movie for a total of like 10 mins
@@trill7402Not even. I feel like Dark Flash had like 5 minutes of screen time total.
no he didnt
I agree that dark Flash was a Savatar variant and very underused. This is actually my biggest complaint with the movie.
Haha i mean even so, he still had vastly more motivation and characterization than 99% of the rest of the dceu
Established more in one scene than 3 hours of luthor hahaha
The fact that things can be changed when going back into time, as in Barry saving his mom and preventing his father from going to jail, there was one thing that remained constant no matter how many times things have been altered. There will always be a Batman in every universe!
Now if only this applied to our own universe

Same! The delivery is so raw and guttural.
A world without Superman is chilling.
Best part of that whole movie.
When I saw Nic Cage, I was simultaneously excited and terrified. Excited to see Nic Cage as Superman, terrified due to crippling arachnophobia
rough 😂
I was also terrified... about the godawful CGI during that whole sequence.
I couldn't believe it. I wanna see Kevin Smith's reaction to seeing that for the first time. It perfectly pays off his crazy Jon Peters story.
That was the only good cameo imo its actually dumb asf that they were cool with resurrecting dead actors with cgi but we couldn't get like a 5 second cameo from Grant or John wesley shipp 😂
@@chunky_mustard5312Ikr those would've been a way better cameo im surprised they didnt even put them in anyway
This was actually a lot better than I thought it would be.
A lot better, honestly the best movie DC has made as of late
@@supersaiyanbino i think this is the best movie as of late that is the official connected universe, but i do still think the joker and the batman could still be considered better but it's difficult for me to decide.
@@austinramsdail8528 oh ya, they're on a whole different level, I looked up what's considered the DCEU which is BatsVSSups on up and ya, Flash is better than all those
Yess. It wasn’t horrible
The ending didn't help it much
You also didn't catch when Barry & Barry are going down to the batcave, the little musical score is the same whimsical notes from The Goonies when they're exploring caverns, find the bottom of the well and just as Mikey walks through the water. While the scores are different in each movie, at these points, you hear a series of notes and it's these same notes in each movie. I can only imagine Muschietti having watched The Goonies countless times in his life and probably again several more times in looking for inspiration for IT Chapter 1.
I like that this movie acknowledges the Snyder cut, specifically the fact that Barry can't speed people away. Screw you, Josstice League
Yesss!! I reminded me of It and the Goonies too
The best part of the movie is when Old Barry is annoyed by Young Barry and realized how other people is annoyed by him.
Despite the Ezra backlash I actually found him pretty damm good in this movie
He’s an amazing actor.
*Them
Yeah, he was hilarious. And certainly not the first or last actor to behave badly. Shit, Robert Downey Jr. was basically relegated to supporting roles back in his wild days. Also, somehow Mel Gibson still works?
@@joeblankenship377You’re comparing RDJ’s drug problem to Ezra Miller assaulting and kidnapping people?
@@AvengeTheBladehe kidnapped someone? ☠️
The chronobowl effects didnt bother me, it did feel intentional(which i guess could be to intentionally save money). When barry randomly has a video game face was more jarring.
video game face Barry ? 🤔
i didn't care about the CGI in this movie it's just what it is and nothing has to make sense.
As a kid, I was always confused about Joker's laugh box at the end of the '89 movie. It took me some time to realize that it was Joker's way to "die laughing" or so he could "have the last laugh."
Exactly
It was a toy. Jokerism
Did they reference Palpatine when young Barry used the electric shock?
Yes!
yeah lol that was funny. i think he says "lets just emperor palpatine him"
Just got out of seeing it. Super fun and heartfelt. CGI for sure needed some work but the story was great, had a blast.
In some places maybe I noticed that sometimes (I legit just saw it) but overall I thought the action and visuals were awesome, and this movie deserves support, even if Ezra Miller maybe doesn’t
Also just got out of seeing too lol, it was super fun and I did feel the emotions, great movie
same, the cgi Ezra kept distracting me when they were both on screen lol
Yeah, some of those 3D models should've spent a little more time rendering. Especially Chris Reeve. He looked worse than a current gen video game.
CG was fine.
Love how this movie went. Love that Thawn isn’t found. I can go for Thawn being a constant annoyance as opposed to, “killed off” in the origin. Like the dark flash, he’s pulling strings, always has, always will.
So sad i didnt see thawne
yo. just saying. imagine anthony starr as thawne
I would have LOVED to see thawne in this movie, but there’s always a second time
The reverse flash of the movie was a blonde-haired child who was in a cart. When Barry comes to his mom in the market, the child looked at him very suspiciously
@@chlebosyrhow? Thawne is from the future, flash’s future. Maybe that could be Eddie Thawne or Malcom Thawne
I like how this movie firmly plants the Snyder Cut as actual DCEU cannon.
no it doesn’t and if it does tell me when because it looks like barry discovers that he can go back in time in this movie
@@silverloveguns barry talked to Bruce about how he first time travel was on Pozharnov, a Russian abandoned city where Steppenwolf set up the motherboxes in ZSJL.. Barry said he went back just for 1 second, and in this movie he went back for a full day
@@silverlovegunsBarry's initial pitch to Affleck's Bruce. Bruce says Barry isn't capable to go back, and Barrg mentions when he reversed the moment the motherbox trinity formed in the Russian city during JUSTICE LEAGUE. The only version Barry ever reverses the trinity is in Zack's version of the film.
@@silverlovegunsYes it does, brother. You see that Aquaman cameo in the Chronobowl? Aquaman is pointing at Barry. That happened in the Snyder cut, when Barry tripped and collided with Aquaman. Secondly, this movie establishes that Barry can't speed people away, and the Snyder cut established the same thing
@@silverlovegunsDon't be so sure of your self.
He’s not untangling them, he was tangling them to prevent them from falling in the water.
I believe that when bruce uses the uncooked noodles and breaks one, it shows that once its been broken it can not be fixed.
That makes sense fr
You can, it just won’t be the same, like seen in the movie.
Like with Kintsugi art, where broken things get stuck back together, but won’t be the same like before.
Joel Schumacher proved that.
🤯🤯🤯🤯
The Flash was a pretty good movie…really makes me wish for more Keaton Batman…it was really awesome to see him in a team up type movie
The tooth falling was symbolic, for the mistake Barry made (the timeline), but instead of accepting it he tried to super-glue it (find a quick solution), and of course that would not work. So it fell when we, along with Barry, realized that the timeline was not right, and the mistake was not really fixed. Just a clever detail that worked both as a gag and a symbolic thing
I think Reverse flash still killed Nora in this movie because it happened so quickly. Even in the film you can hear stuff being moved and knocked over but it all happens in seconds.
i hope it’s reverse flash, but it being fast could be anyone. i really doubt it was barry tho
Andy Muschietti has since stated that his sequel would have included Reverse Flash.
I didnt even think about that
There’s no way anyone else than Reverse Flash killed Nora. Even if it wasn’t shown, just like a Spider-Man’s spider bite.
Don’t know if that comparison makes sense, Barry’s origins had nothing to do with his parents’ death or Reverse for decades. It was a retcon made in like, mid-to-late 2000s. Lots of stories told without it
Not at all, Barry's parents didn't even die until very recently in the comics
@João Bueno what was his origins back then?
@whitegenome22 Similar to how the 90s TV series handled it and how the Arrowverse Flash series hinted at the OG timeline that Thawne meddled with: Barry was still a CSI that was working in the police lab when a lightning strike caused an accident that doused him in chemicals and electrified him simultaneously....but his parents were still alive and in his life.
Keatons Bruce didn't have bruised fingers in the scene where he touched the photo it was paint. Remember, the two Barry's saw a painting and paint supplies when they walked into one of the rooms.
With all of the Batman cameos, I'm surprised that we didn't see Christian Bale's Batman.
Right! The best batman and they didnt put him!?! I like clooney but he only had one movie and it was decent. But come bale!!
Nolan stated his batman lives in a realistic world without other superheroes
I don't think the nolanversr will be revisited again
@@davidguzman8818so many things wrong with what you just said. Bale isn’t close to being the best batman ( great bruce wayne tho) and clooneys movie was decent?!? arguably the worst superhero movie of all time.
Im sure he probably got asked and turned it down
Bruce's hands aren't bruised from crime-fighting, he's long given that up since Gotham is one of the safest cities in the world. It's paint from his paintings that Barry comments on as he walks through the living room of Bruce's mansion.
I noticed the paint too. Nice continuity in the movie.
Yup. I agree. I love this idea
My biggest complaint about the film (other than the weird choices with cgi) is how it doesn’t seem like Barry didn’t learn from his mistake of changing the past. He goes back and removes the tomatos from his moms cart but then changes the location of them on the shelf WHICH STILL is a change in the past that affects his timeline. Like everything had led up to him making the choice to let his mom die to restore the true timeline but then decides to change it again anyway. It just doesn’t sit right with me
It was a subtle change that would result in most of history being the same until Wayne tech could fix the distorted footage to reveal what they couldn't decades earlier.
While it still changes it, it does so in a way that would keep most of his past the same
No. The change isn't noticed until the present, so it only changes events from the present forward.
Exactly what I thought. Barry learned nothing.
@@VogtTD Probably changes the events for everyone who couldn’t reach tomatoes on the top shelf…
@@perfecthollywood lmao
As time goes on
I think more people will realize that the storyline was pretty good
It was just the cgi that was kind of off and weird
I think it's ok that the CGI wasn't great to be honest. We could definitely still focus on the story despite that fact. And it's the sort of thing where I think it would be worth the budget to go and clean it up for the streaming services IMO
Even that didn't bother me. Best comic book movie ever? No, not top 10 even. But it is a really good movie to me.
Cgi was good.
I saw it at a matinee. I really enjoyed it, which was a bit of a surprise. I think it's one of the better DC movies. The character of the Flash was very well fleshed out, and you really cared about what he or they were going through. I loved the use of Batman in the movie.
I had such a great time watching this movie. I teared up several times. Honestly one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Lots of funny moments and so many nods. I teared up when Christopher Reeve came on the scene. I loved seeing Michael Keaton Batman in action. Just an entertaining day at the movies

In my opinion I think younger Barry/ evil flash reminds me a lot of Savitar! 7:54 I think they should have leaned into a kaleidoscope effect. I did get the feel that it was meant to be an abstraction of reality. Seeing the shift when he stuck his head through into reality helped. I loved the effect whe he stretched out to infinity.
People with more than 1 brain cell understood it was meant to look like that.
I’ve been waiting for this since the movie came out
CGI was atrocious at times but this just might be my favorite superhero movie of all time, i really hope some passionate artists continue to finish some of the work by the time it comes to streaming
CGI of the babies made no sense.. and it was horrible from CGI baby in Microwave to actual one.. OOF! Horrible.
I wanted Christian Bale to get out of the car soooooooooo bad.
In the scene where they're talking about Back To The Future and Eric Stoltz, on a computer screen on the background, you can see "Looney Toons" (Not Looney Tunes) and "Mortal Combat" (Not Mortal Kombat) as wallpapers, playing off of the "Mandela effect" stuff in the whole scene, I loved it! Really had a blast with this movie!
I’m getting to the point in my movie nerddom where I immediately noticed the director cameo lol
With time this will be called one of the most underrated superhero films
Don't think there will be a continuation but if there was.....I would like to pitch that George Clooney as a practical joke that Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne hired to mess with Barry.
across the spiderverse: a bagel destroyed the multiverse
the flash: a can of tomatoes destroyed the multiverse
The thing that confuses me about the movie is Barry freaking out about time traveling for the first time . But didn’t he literally go back in time to save the justice league.
I remember he says to Batman that he had travelled back in time for a few seconds before (reference to ZSJL), but first time he travelled back 24 hours - maybe that's why he freaked.
I think it’s because he never travelled back that far
This movie was a mind blow for me I watched it on 🍄 s . His younger self being dark flash because he wanted to save his mom and has been there for damn near eternity trying to figure out how to save his mom . And he realizes no matter how fast he is he can’t just change the future to recuse his mom without destroying his entire planet. It’s really kind of sad that his mom has to die for his planet to live.
I'm going to give Andy Muschietti the credits he deserves for making this movie despite the struggles this facing!!!

1. I'm pretty sure there's a scene that uses the same set that's used for CC Jitters in the CW Flash. I believe it was the one showing Zod's creepy transmission
2. Kara being held in Russia is clearly a nod to Superman: Red Son
Kara's Russian prison was 100% a nod to Red Son yeah. And the way Batman helped Barry get his powers again was an amazing callback to the flashpoint. Just an all in all very, very solid film. Probably top 5 if not top 3 superhero films, and you can feel the effort that went into it.
I honestly think this is the best DC movie ever made. It was beautiful from beginning to the end. I hurt my hand in the air and cried when I saw Christopher Reeves. I watch Superman to almost everyday of my life as a child. This movie is better than most of the recent marvel movies. I'm impressed.
While I enjoyed it you are in the minority in your opinion.

Teddy Sears played Hunter Zolomon masquerading as Jay Garrick in the Flash season 2. Also he is from Earth 2 not Earth 3.
Say what you will about the movie but that scene at the end of the movie where Barry talks to his mother is very beautiful and full of emotions
Now I want to see a Cage/Keaton de-aged Batman v Superman.
it’s also something to note that in alternate barry’s apartment on his computer screen it has a ‘looney toons’ wallpaper instead of ‘looney tunes’ as it is actually called worldwide, also proving that there’s slight tweaks that are changed since our barry changed the past.
10:41 when I saw that, I was thinking of peter b’s line from spider verse: “It’s not about saving a city, it’s about saving one person”

Just came back from watching the Movie, I was super impressed!! Awesome throwbacks with Adam West, Christopher Reeves, Henry Cavill an even Nick Cage. Now I see why they didn’t wanna throw Ezra Miller out, he made the movie great (In spite of his Personal life)
Same here. It didn't take long to get into the movie to see why they didn't want to throw anything out or scrap the film in general.
I think the “ bruised fingers “ is actually paint. Because you can see he had several paintings inside the Wayne manor. He accomplished and had saved his city as Batman in his versions Gotham, so him training that hard wouldn’t make sense at all. - Brainstorming.
This movie with its flaws was still great but I wish Keaton's Batman had been tweaked a bit. Him dying under such easily avoidable circumstances made no sense. He's been batman longer than any other batman we've ever met so either he's completely forgotten any of the bouts he's had in the past or was just seeking out an excuse to die. Batman is supposed to be the strongest strategist in the justice league so for him to be so shortsighted didn't make sense. My second tweak would be to play up the parental role Batman represents. He has moments where he feeds barry instead of himself, shields Barry after he's been shot, holds the hatch open for everyone else before himself (nearly dying) - this should drive home that this batman has a warm heart even with all that he's lost. I would have Keaton's batman start from a place of even deeper disillusionment and apathy. Keaton's batman should instead always die because he chooses to save Barry over anything else including maybe showing an empathic understanding of dark flash.
This is a different Batman and there was no Justice League in that timeline.
Right!!
He had no prep time
1. I think the part where Batman looks up at Supergirl's falling prison cell is a reference to the scene in Batman 1989 where he has to bend over backwards to look up (due to the restrictive cowl). 2. The cut on Barry 2's face may be a reference to The Joker. 3. The part where Batman puts explosive charges on the back of the tall enemy could be based on his grab move from the Injustice game.
I think that 3rd one is correct, it looked so similar
Just watched found it very fun and entertaining
I think Barry losing his powers would have been a nice way to bring static shock into the story line
me and my friend have this back and forward thing of gifting meme stuff from Nic Cage on our birthdays, so seeing him in Theater had us crying in laughter
It was very clever writing for Batman in this movie. Every action that's changed in a timeline causes a different Batman to appear. Affleck ---> Keaton -----> Clooney.
