  • It took five NYPD cops several minutes to arrest me with conventional prone restraint. It was so chaotic that they didn’t even realize I had a knife (even after I pulled it out and started stabbing people).
Conversely, it only took me and and Tom a minute to deplete our subject’s will to fight using the SafeWrap System, and even though we let him stash the knife during his attempt, at no point was he able to access it or use it. We used no joint locks, no chokes, no pressure points, no chest compression and we were talking to him the entire time.
Historically, law enforcement officers have always rushed to pronate the subject during a multiple-officer arrest, but we now know that prone restraint is problem, not the solution.
Listen to what the top NYPD instructors had to say after only two hours of SafeWrap training.
Imagine what different world it would be if every first responder spoke the SafeWrap language such that any two people could interact with one another to safely and effectively restrain an aggressive, suicidal or emotionally disturbed person.
We need the leaders to realize that it’s time for a change.
