glorious job mate, the results of practice are evident, maybe one day you can cover something by obscura, necrophagist, spawn of possession, anything with lots of notes, hails/.
@@theboss8981 Well, I don't have much theoretical knowledge, and a lot of my technique is self-made, but I can give some ideas based on what I've done; I practice a lot, I make it so that it's hard to get the bass out of my hands. If I see a bass, I'm inclined to practice. I also listen and play along to records so I can train my ear, since I learn almost every song by ear. And it doesn't matter what record I have on, from AC/DC to Atheist, I'm always paying attention to what the bass is doing. As for technique, my big thing is that I use my nails and grow them out instead of using my fingertips. This gives it a ton of attack, even on dead strings (the ones in this video are like, 10 months old). It also makes it easier to be super fast without wearing down your picking hand. And last thing is to play what you want, no matter how challenging it seems! The only way I got to play these songs is by going for it. I was always jumping at Yes, Iron Maiden, Atheist, Sadus, etc. stuff with bass that really excited me. I continue to do the same. I hope all of this helps somewhat!
DUDE!!!! that´s fucking brutal !! well done !
Thank you tons!
the coolest cover I’ve seen this week. This is so fucking metal 🔥
Thanks tons! Wish this one got the attention that my last few fretless covers did. I did a far better job with this!
