Hey Scotty happy fathers day
Hey Scotty I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 with a V6 engine. When I put it into drive the car won’t drive forward and if it does it’ll have a lot of struggle to do so. No problems with it going in reverse. What could be wrong with it.
@@oldlawnchairgamer418 transmission is gone, its a pontiac, 🙌
Scotty Kilmer hey Scotty what’s your opinion on the Harley Davidson LiveWire? No noise is a bad thing?
867-5309..... Tommy Tutone.... I saw what you did there ;)
I have AAA plus, they cover like 8 tows a year uo to 100 miles, free jumps, lockout, and gas if you run out... Best investment is peace of mind.
How much do you pay if i may ask? I do lyft and looking into aaa
Luis Hernandez theres different plans to choose from I believe the lowest monthly plan is $5 , I pay $12 a month for the exact plan mentioned above
I get AAA as a Xmas gift from my dad each year and the peace of mind is very nice. Hardly use its benefits besides discounts at some auto places like NAPA and Safelite. But when I have used it it was totally awesome. Friends car broke down a couple years ago, I was with and the tow was covered!
are you sure its 8 tows???
scarlett ohara it’s 4 tows. I figured he has a husband and wife policy so everything doubles
I worked for AAA and I can vouch for the car insurance and towing. Service is top notch and I use it myself. It's about $55 for the basic service and it pays for itself the first time you're stuck on the side of the road or locked out.
tingokuman For those who want towing but live in rural areas, if you spend roughly $90, you get towing up to 100 miles. The basic is great but only gets you 5 miles I think, and every mile after you pay for, which WILL BE very expensive.
@@Mak933 Buy a plus 100miles or premier membership 200miles. An independent company will charge you $200 bucks for 100 miles. This happened to me 10 years ago and they damaged my brand new car because they didn't offer a flatbed. In the grand scheme of things AAA will always be the most cost effective. We are roadside assistance.

Scotty, my AAA membership goes back to 1954. I've had to use various services several times over the years, and never been disappointed.
avlisk Scotty “I was a young mechanic then and looking to buying a 1994 Toyota Celica”
I'm a member of AAA for 29 years! The reason why I became a member of AAA is because someone told me after I bought a used 1982 TOYOTA CELICA in 1989, that the Celica will break down, and It will let me stranded on the side of the road... Well it NEVER did. My Celica was STOLEN in 2000 ! If it wasn't for that, I would still be driving it right freaking NOW!
RicharXD Plot Twist: Scotty stole it and put the shell of a 1994 Celica on it.
Scotty is probably not a thief, since he seems like such an honest man. He probably bought it from the bastard that took it from you though, and now your Celica is in the best hands. So it probably worked out well. Lol
40 years here and have used it at least once every 3 years. Damn car batteries are not like they used to be.
Same here. I am still driving my 1998 Hyundai with 280,000 miles. Never needed AAA but keep paying for it every year.
I love AAA, they got my car to me in a heartbeat when I bought it!
I've been a AAA Member for 40 yrs. The Towing sure came in handy with some of cars I've had. I had a Chrysler Sebring, I knew EVERY AAA Tow Truck driver by name, they would say "I knew it was you when they gave the car description...what's wrong now?"
We became member and last week we had to call becuase we broke down.we called them.
It over 2 hours to get someone evan to talk to.
We needed a tow to our machanic, that was less then 20 min away. They told us it would be an hour so, an hour and a half and we called again they told us it's going to be the next day and to be towed . They told us to leave the key in it . My husband told them no about the key.
The problem it they use local towing and couldn't get one
We had to make th he calls
To several places in town l
All Chryslers should come with lifetime AAA membership 😂
GENIUS... Scotty's is appealing because he's an "every man" that people can easily relate to. That and he's honest, humble, and loves to help people. He is truly a great man!
Been a aaa customer for 18 years. Won't go anyplace else. Prices are very competitive and as scotty says, the towing benefit is awesome. I'm also a aaa member and one of my benefits is free tows. It has come in very handy this year since I've needed 3. Haven't paid a nickel.
'Free' the customer pays-Nothing is Free
Get discounts at hotels, car rental, flights, etc. More than paid for itself
Scotty your videos are great. I'm a Fleet Service Technician (tow truck driver) for AAA. Thanks for the good word and for all the card holders out there; we appreciate the Membership! 👍

Do not confuse AAA membership with AAA insurance. AAA sells regular insurance, too. Not bad, but not the best.
Mark Mangus Agreed. Worked for Aaa as an agent for 10 years. Not the same company anymore- they change leadership every 2 years , make changes to agent. Comp plans to put more money into their pockets.
They only offer one auto and home product which is not a good concept.

Mr. Pancakes Are you in for a surprise.
I've had AAA roadside for 40 years with no problems.
I have AA roadside service...many problems.... :(
In 01/2019 I purchased a used 1998 Ford CV & needed a few AAA South tows. A AAA rep told me on my 4th free tow, I'd get a "free" tow since I was a good customer. I later confirmed this detail with AAA customer service the following day. I later found out by "free" he meant my member status. Even the AAA region manager said I was correct but she refused to grant me 1 more AAA tow.
I've used AAA since 2008 and it's great service.
I said it once and I'll say it again
This man is pumping more videos then T-series 😂😂
And you misspelled "than" again lol😂
@Shelby Morgan Sweet summer child....
I've been rear ended twice by AAA policy holders, they are the greatest insurance company I've ever dealt with. They treated me better than my own insurance company.
I believe it lol
I have had AAA for my car and home insurance for years. When my car was keyed years ago, AAA really came through for me. I went to the most expensive auto body shop in town to get the affected panels refinished, and AAA had no problem paying for it. My parents also have AAA for home and auto. Years ago, a wind storm damaged their roof, and AAA paid for a full roof replacement, no questions asked. Everyone should look into AAA for insurance. They are the best company out there, from my family's experience.
@@hamsterama alright, you sold me comrade. Lol
@@marcoantoniomirandar Yes, do it, call AAA and ask to speak with an insurance agent! You will not be disappointed! They have the best customer service, and the best rates. In addition to auto insurance, their home insurance is way lower than the competition.
@@hamsterama Good they are but you don't want to use their body shops on their DRP or IRP list. Those shops are cost savers for the auto club.
I don't have AAA myself, but I've asked couple of guys who have AAA, I was told they are absolutely very happy with AAA. I use their membership and they have been good, the only complaint I have as far as their membership goes is that at times it takes a long time for the tow truck to show up.
AAA ripped me off. I never asked for a tow for 14 years. When I needed a tow 5 months ago AAA refused to tow my pickup. To think that all those times I drove out of state thinking I was protected but wasn't. I even had coverage for a trailer (so I thought). I am dropping them when renewal comes.
What was the reason?
The license tags had just expired
Who else does something to their car or in life and scotty makes a video about it 3 days later to why not do it 😂
Same for me but on a fix that I need!
yup!
I just started working for AAA and they are a wonderful company who really care
Hey Scotty! just wanted to say, I really like how you address the title of the video first, and then lay extra info on everything else on us.
I always own two old beaters and I have always had AAA. Four free tows a year for $80. One dies, I get it towed home and take my time fixing it while I drive the other one. I spend a small fraction of what most people do to drive around reliably.
I got AAA and in 1 week I used it. Instant payoff. Following week, my wife's car conked out. What the ????
Great coverage, worth every dollar.
I’m an actual club fleet driver. Our is service is good but it does have a lot of flaws, especially for people who break down really far from home in a extremely busy area. We can’t afford to lose a truck for long duration of time during commuting times because it makes a lot of people wait who are just being towed 10-20 miles away. If you break down and need to get towed really far and have been waiting for a long time. Pay out of pocket and submit a reimbursement form with AAA and we will honor it. I’ve been working for AAA for almost 3 years and they really due care about member satisfaction
I have been a AAA member for many years and have never been disappointed with their service. I never had a long wait for a tow and they ALWAYS sent a flatbed. Last year, I used AAA as my auto insurance broker and they got me a GREAT deal! I am kind of mad at myself for not switching my insurance earlier. My old insurance company was robbing me blind.
Bought a $400 Mazda no reverse..gave it to my friend and told them I thought they were forward enough to adapt and xonquer
I've been in a pinch where a tow company wanted $300 to tow back into my town cuz I was about 40 miles away. Beep boop, called AAA, signed up for 1 year for $120 and instant 100 plus mile towing benefit- bam.
AAA needs to give rebates on no claims for long term customers . Considering to go to Geiko for $400 a year savings .
I like to puff on the Cannabis Cigar and get all schmoked up while watching Scotty Kilmers videos.
Im Canadian so I'm with CAA. one time I was down in the states I hit a gigantic pothole and blew out both passenger side tires. Tow truck was totally covered by CAA through AAA really great service will have it for the rest of my life.
Happy Father's Day Scotty!! Keep up the hard work!
Ive had AAA since i got my license, ive used all my free tows every year, because no matter whose car im in i can tow it 300 miles!
I have a friend who works in privately owned towing company and they do $300-800 tows every few hours just because the ppl calling in dont have AAA..
Scotty, if you had to choose one sub-company that was discontinued to make a return, which would it be and why? (Ex: Saturn, Mercury, Pontiac, etc...)
I've had AAA since I started driving. Love it. Not too expensive too and you get a discount if you have multiple cars. (I got 2)
AAA's a must for rideshare drivers. Not their insurance, but the road side assistance
Their insurance however, has suffered big in the past 20 years. Prior to year 2000, AAA insurance was run and managed much better but ever since they got back into auto racing sponsorships and naming rights to a few race tracks etc., they revamped their core values to serve their company vs. their employees and customers. Also, ever since the direct repair or immediate repair body shop ideas got repetitive and controlled by the insurance industry, repairs to your vehicles suffered however, they made it less inconvenient at the same time.
I changed from AAA to AARP. The price was 1/3 less and 5 people can be on the plan. A friend picked me up from a mechanic shop ( my car was getting serviced) , my friends car broke down. Lol. I called AARP and they towed his car to his choice of workshop because I was a passenger. It’s in the plan. No charge!
AAA is great, far as I know they tow ANY vehicle you''re a passenger in
My husband finally called after multiple texts to say that we’ve been waiting for 4.5 hours with two seniors and two kids and they told us to wait another 45 minutes. Throughout the day we’ve had 4 cops ask us if we were okay since we pulled over on government property.
Plus-1 reco for AAA.
Not only do you get great towing benefits, but you get swank discounts on hotels and car rentals. One stay in a hotel saves me the cost of the membership for the year.
Dirty little secret that works - if you don't break down a lot, the car insurance companies will sell you a plan for towing - usually $5 to $15 a year, and no charge for towing under 50 miles or so. I used to use AAA but after never needing my car towed except like once in 15 years, it was a lot of money down the drain.
My whole family uses AAA and I am really glad they have AAA.
Just be sure to tip them.
If you don't tip don't call.
I had a tire flat that needed to swap for the spare. Not bad for AAA to do a spare tire change after waiting 20 minutes in the parking lot!
Beaides the tires are like .... 5+ years, getting them changed tomorrow for a better brand. Thank god they're not chinese tires lol
THANK YOU SCOTTY!
Dude you're a freaking psychic....I'm literally about to join. I had recent car trouble and show me I might need a tow in the future.
Happy Fathers Day Scotty. More years of good health.God Bless you and your family, Hope your children treat you or call you on this very special Father’s Day . 🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏
Once my car broke down (94 Corolla transmission went bad in 2015), called AAA on the phone to sign up and immediately requested a tow. $100 tow which is much better than Joe-Rip-Ya-Off $300 tow. Plus all the AAA perks.
As for AAA, I was a battery Unit and yes AAA does rip people off. We get commission on batteries. Warranties were $5 and battery sale $10. I know 2 guys who would sell daily like fresh bread and pissed us honest guys off because we would only do it when it needed it. Sometimes would tell them if they had Costco it's cheaper.
A question on Toyota engines. My son says to get a 22 RE 4 cylinder or a 3.0 V 6. That said, I'm looking at a 4 runner with a v 8. All comment are welcome.
You can get roadside assistance through your cell phone carrier for $3-$5 a month. Has been a life saver for me on multiple occasions because car insurance companies charge way too much for it
That's the same as triple a. It's about 60 a year.
In Western MA, the standard AAA membership gets you a 4 mile tow and 6 calls a yr if I remember correctly. You better not break down on a highway unless you're rich due to tow fees.
You can make a AAA membership pay for itself just with the savings at NAPA or safelite if you have routine maintenance or repairs to do. Also had to call pop a lock to unlock my car recently. It was only $50 but for about that same amount the classic AAA plan includes car unlocks I believe
You save on parts at napa? I buy alot of things for my cars. What is the discount?
AAA doesn't always work. Several years ago, my car needed a battery jump. It was -10 and snowing and I had to gt to work. I called AAA and they would get there as soon as possible, they were very busy due to the weather conditions. 90 minutes later, a tow truck shows up and I present him the card. He said he doesn't do cards, he wants cash, $50. I was in a spot so I agreed. After we got the car started, he was getting ready to leave. I stopped him and asked for a receipt. He said he doesn't do receipts and left.
I live in Katy and we just got a huge rainstorm. Currently watching this while the rest blows out. 2:09 you're so right
AAA helped me out today, old battery, needed to go get it replaced, couldn't start it, took them about 20 minutes to get to me, but jumping my car was free. No skin off my nose
Own a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac high miles (obviously. AAA saved me many times with this old SUT. Love the truck but she is way past her best years. AAA is in my speed dial.
Disconnect the batt and cross the cables on vehicle without batt connected , that will reset the computer and may work ,I did to my 2008 Taurus and work perfect ,no sensors replaced ,no rebuild,no scam ,simple computer reset
My friend turned me into AAA paid $80 a year and have 4-200 mile tows for the year. When you need it it's there. I spend more on food in a day than this tow for a year. Makes complete sense.
My Ford Explorer only had Park and reverse. It WAS NOT the transmission. It was a missing Torx bolt in the shifter linkage.
I got aaa plus for my 01 mercury grand marquis. $88 a year with a 100 mile coverage zone from my house. $35 for any tow. Cant beat the price. 🔧
Triple A is awesome. We've had them now for about eight years. They are well worth the once a year fee of $126 bucks American.
Happy fathers day Scotty. Thanks for all that you educate us with.
I have a 45 mile commute each way. I have the AAA extra plan which includes up to 100 miles of towing.
I'm paying $136 per year for AAA plus, they've saved me a lot of money and headaches over the years. I'm with Sprint and get 10% off my monthly bill as a AAA member, so it pretty much pays for itself.

I was a AAA member. Until they decided an accident I was involved in with a person who had AAA insurance was not there fault but mine, despite what the Sheriff said. So I will NEVER EVER give money to AAA again because that is my American right
Scotty is the only person on UA-cam that can upload a 10 minute video every 5 minutes.
AAA is the Best! I never thought about them until I got a job driving a tow truck in '93; back then they had unlimited towing! The boss would gyp them on the miles and the customers were always angry and thankless! Even if I made it to them in 1/2 hour they'd be yelling at me; "Hey! It isn't my fault your POS car broke, stop yelling at me or I'm gonna leave you here!" 6 months later I quit and had an auto detailing shop. I would buy 2 -4 cars a month and get them towed to my shop or a used car dealer who I worked with; it was a win-win for a few years. These days I think your limited to 4 tow's a year but most cars don't break down these days as often unless they are very old.
A friend of mine has a body shop, he said he's seen those large subwoofers pop the spot welds on the car body. Yeah I bet it's great for your hearing too!
My sweetheart bought me a AAA membership for a Valentine's gift this year, best sweetie surprise ever! PS- The giver is the best sweetie!
New intro is fire
Also triple AAA let me know that when tow trucks see cars broken down on the side of the road they will pretend that they will be the people you called
Happened to me seconds after that phone call with me calling a AAA tow.. TALK ABOUT THIS SCOTTY!!
Andrew Adricatico ... I have had more than one person come up to me to tell me where their car is, even though I was parked and obviously not searching for anyone's car. They see a tow truck in the same parking lot and assume it's for them. If I responded to their actions by towing their car, the onus is on them to pay our charges. Of course, I am courteous to the other driver and explain to the customer that I'm not the droid they're looking for. The last time it happened, I asked what company was coming to them. When I heard who it was, I explained that their trucks were all white, unlike my jet black beauty. Of course I don't respect their company. Crappy Iranians.
I just used my AAA yesterday - I am platinum member and it more than pays for itself every year.
If you're a senior citizen driving an older car I would highly recommend AAA.
Wow that new "Rev up your engines" intro! Makes me feel like I'm having a "flashback"!

even being a passenger.
AAA has been good to me in the past although I was in a car accident recently and they wouldn’t tow me JUST because there was some shattered glass, just be aware of there policies because they can and will screw you.
Nice intro Scotty, you really upgraded
❤🙏👍
Why not just get road side assistance on insurance policy?
Typically roadside service on most insurance policies are a reimbursement. That means you still need to contact your own tow service, pay for it, then submit the bill to your insurance and they will reimburse you $50-$75. If you're stranded somewhere at night or on a hot day, how does that really help you lol

You should shop around.
@@RayT70 not all do that, most do typically tho. I'm an insurance agent
I see you Scotty, still love your videos. Keep em coming. 101st and ect. for life. 😎
USAA insurance's included towing is pretty good. I looked at AAA, but the services paralleled those available from USAA, so I just adjusted my coverage to match.
I love my AAA. I have used it 3x. Saved $1500 total. More than I have paid into it!
With the brakelight problem....I've found typically it's the turn signal (multi function) switch. The brakelight switch sends current directly to the high mount brake light and current to your main brakelight is typically circuited from the brakelight switch to the turn signal switch then to the brake lights. This is particularly common on GM vehicles.
That guy that asked about speakers and a sub woofer in your car. Don't you need to hear the traffic and pedestrians while you're driving. Save your money and put into a good two channel system for you room / home. To listen and enjoy your music and system you need to sit down and just do that. Not driving , working, home work or anything but listen to the music. When you're driving a standard factory sound system is good enough it will just be back ground noise anyway. All this depends on what your taste in music is also. If you like crappy music then do what you want.
Q.what do you call a dog underwater? A. a sub-woofer
AAA car insurance is highly rated but it's different from their towing service. Even though you must have a membership to purchase the car insurance, you don't need the insurance for towing, just the membership.
Even though AAA insurance premiums tend to be on the expensive side, they pay back dividends at the end of the year because they technically operate as a non- profit.
