If you want to take pictures of the cultural scenery, you should go to the small town south of China, Misty Rain South is the description of the ancient people, and do not go to the commercial ancient town, China's cultural scenery and various ethnic groups, you know, China has 56 ethnic groups, each ethnic settlement has a unique landscape. If you want to take natural scenery, I would recommend several places for you, such as Yili in Xinjiang, Xishuangbanna in Yunnan, Hulunbuir Grassland in Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Lao Jun Mountain in Luoyang, Wugong Mountain in Jiangxi, and Kunlun Mountains. If you want to photograph ancient Chinese palace architecture, go to the Forbidden City in Beijing, or Xi 'an, or Luoyang, or Kaifeng.

pandas are treated like kings there. they even have indoor ac areas when it's too hot during summer lol. plus that place is massive so each have a pretty decent area to roam about. too bad you were pressed for time. chengdu is a really nice laid back city.
