Do you have to unplug it after every drive to avoid battery drainage? Or does it cut power after a certain point?
I’d seen a review of this before on UA-cam but the guy said that it would drop out if on long journeys and he had to unplug and plug it back in again. He then said that he found it wouldn’t connect every time that he would occasionally get in the car and it wouldn’t automatically connect. Again he had to disconnect from usb and plug it back in again. So does this work 100% of the time ?

Hi, was the CarPlay already installed in your Audi to start with. As I’ve bought a car link dongle for my A6 plugged in but nothing on screen.
Apple CarPlay has to already be installed. This is only so as to access CarPlay without physically using the USB.

Yes you need to have factory CarPlay wired, so this just adapter makes it wireless
