I use the kiss press on...they stay on for about a week & then I soak in olive oil and very gently release the nail! I love changing the look of my nails often!

skiyogagirl I use the “impress “ from kiss is that what you use ? And does olive oil really work and for how long ?

A week went by and my Kiss nails were not lose or willing to come off. I soaked in very warm soapy water but still firm. Acetone had no power lol. Did you soak in olive oil alone or mix it with something else? How long would I need to soak??

Your fingers turn white because the acetone really drys everything out, that is why most people use cuticle oil before applying the remover. Really hope this helps! 👍

Its not a good idea to use oils before you apply nails because they won't stick well, even if you do use acetone.

I have used these nails for years!! So easy and when your a pro it can be done in under 10 min for sure! I hate sitting in the salon AND paying triple the price. These are beautiful and I get so many compliments!! Love your video and your voice is very soothing...you could do voice yoga. Haha. Also, my nails can last up to 10-14 days. Just depends on weather, wear and tear and how well I applied. Thanks again!!

KISS is my favorite brand too! been doing these for years. I've never put glue on the nail, only my finger. I put nails on in different ways - both pinkies, both ring finger, etc.. and take the little tab off each nail as I do them. Then, file the rough edges of each nail. Shiny nails are my fav.

Wow! So glad you did this video. First of all, now I know WHY my nails are so thin and short and and won't grow - it's because of my chronic illnesses and all the meds I take! Now why didn't I think of that? Duh!!! Funny how sometimes things just never to occur to you, right? And I checked out the price on the KISS nails - they are so affordable! Plus you make it look so easy to apply them AND your nails always look so lovely. I think my days of having awful-looking nails may be gone forever! YAY!!! A trip to Walmart is definitely in order! Great video! Thanks, Jennifer!

Great tutorial. I find after a week I want to remove them because as my nails grow out my hair will get caught in the area nearest the cuticle when Im doing my hair. A week is plenty long enough and then I’m ready to change to a new style. I mostly use Dashing Diva and Impress, no glue needed and they stay on until I remove them.

If you filed and buffed your nails before putting those on they would last longer. I find mine last me up to 10 days because of proper nail prep before any manicure not to crazy with the file though you just wanna remove the shine

One thing that I’ve found that works really great for me is to use the brush on glue. I still carry the little bottle that comes with the nails in my purse or work bag but to apply I usually use the brush on and that helps me to not use too much. I love these nails!

This was such a helpful tutorial for me! I have brittle nails and hardly ever get to enjoy a nice looking manicure because my nails are always uneven lengths. I've been wanting to try press on nails but was intimidated by the process and afraid of the result I'd get. Your video broke down the steps to the process in such an easy-to-follow manner that I finally went and did it. Although a couple of the nail tips ended up being slightly crooked, the result overall was great. I finally have a beautiful set of fingernails and a pretty manicure to enjoy. Thank you!

I have naturally long finger nails and i tend to use the adhesive tabs PLUS the glue. I utilize my hands a LOT so to prevent breakage and popping off, using both gives me the longest, best results.

  • @michellegrothe7278
    @michellegrothe7278 7 років тому +2

I use the Kiss also, but have never tried them with the tabs, look very handy! Hate the ones with the sticky, they don't work well, always use the glue ones. Also, learned a tip somewhere to make them stay on longer and it really works, but seems to damage the actual nail more. Before cleaning nail surface you use the emory board and file top to bottom and also side to side across the nail surface. This way when you apply the glue it goes down into all the little ridges giving a better seal to the fake nail.

My tip is to take good care of your nails, and use Impress stick on nails, with no glue.
My nails are short too same reason. I love the med length oval nails because they make my fingers look longer. But you don't get as many nails and for me, to much bling. Glue and acrylic and gel nails damaged my nails badly. I just now discovered these.
I love the matte nails as am a senior and usually wear a subtle shade.
I always give my awful real nails a treatment break between manicures. I take gelatin supplement, Lissa to help natural mail growth. You can also get gel chewies with geletin and collegen. This has helped, over a month. I also put these impress nails , also by Kiss btw , on top of one layer of nail treatment polish, and yet the stick on nail is still on. They feel secure, I don't have to check if they are still there, and they are beautiful. I love the ones displayed in this vid. Impress aretwo or three times more expensive in Can than in States
Its cheaper to find them in a store maybe like Target, Walmart or Lo don Drugs.

I have a friend who has been doing them for ages and her nails last a month, she says she has gone longer but she likes to change them up so usually does them every 2 weeks. She uses a nail file to gently sand the nails so the glue sticks better. She also does NOT use the glue that comes with the kit but the Kiss fast dry she says is the best glue she's tried.

I just stumbled into this vid, it is good to see someone with short flat nails like mine do so well with these nails! so many of the kiss are a deep 'c' contour and they won't stay on ,if you can even get them on! I just tried the gel nail polish and uv nail light application to try to get longer stay , the glue worked better on all but one nail that stayed on a month. They still stayed a little longer and I had 2 nails that had a slight fungus starting so I had lift I didn't see obviously! It was quite easy to get rid of (RN here) clorox rinse, then kerasal ointment overnite and it was gone. thnx for your tips!

I loved this idea too. I usually toss the whole box in my bag and it takes up lots of room. This will work great and would never have thought of it.

How long did they last for you? Do they lift from the cuticle side and get your hair stuck in them?

I’m a first-time user of Kiss nails. Although I like the way they look, I had a lot of trouble with the glue that comes with the package. It seemed to clog up quickly in the applicator. I had to keep clipping the tip back and probably ended up with too much glue on my natural nails. Mine were popping off within the first five hours.
What am I doing wrong? Is there another nail glue that I should purchase separately and use??

Make sure your nails are clean of all oils, cut your natural nails down short , use the glue and spread around on the nail itself (stay away from the sides and cuticle to avoid glue runoff), hold the glued nail down for about 5 seconds, rolling your fingers side to side to get good adherence and minimize air bubbles, and wait as long as possible before using your hands in water. I will usually do mine before bed. Also try the kiss brush on glue..better control.

First time using fake nails in 25 years, they came a long way. I bought a brand called Imprez from Walgreens, (were on sale is why I chose over Kiss) but they come pre glued with a sticky backing, just clean your nails with the enclosed pad to remove oils, no need to file or rough up natural nails, I've had mine on now for 2 wks. only had to replace 2 nails. I'll try the Kiss brand next time but will also buy another package of Imprez nails in case I don't like the Kiss as much.

A10TOES LOVE Impress nails! Also Dashing Diva. No need to fuss with glue, and they are waterproof!
