@@davidthompson7233 Thanks back to you... but it feels strange to thank you and Trevor Benjamin for nearly breaking apart our marriage every time we play a new Undaunted 😆. Jokes aside really enjoyed 2200, some of my favourite scenarios.
Just recently I bought North Africa after I have been playing Normandy over Tabletop Simulator a bit with a friend. Really love these games so far. I hope they are doing more Undaunted games. I could imagine the Vietnam war as an interesting historical setting as the factions could each have a completely different playstyle but I think that someting original like Callisto is also really cool.
I got OG, Africa, and The Reinforcements, so I could have solo. But that is all I need, based on how little I get to play it. Brillant system and design. I love the play.
I only played Normandy, but it was a super fun experience. I hope they can Dip into IP crossovers in the future. I would kill for Undaunted: Clone Wars
@danielschlag4914 Normally I agree with you, I don't like lazy IP crossovers especially when it's just pasted over the OG game with no changes other than replacing original art with movie screen shots. I just really like clone wars era star wars and I think the Undaunted battle system is a perfect fit for it.
I think you'd want to consider price vs complexity. You'd need at least 1 of Normandy/Africa AND reinforcements OR Callisto, but Callisto is a bit more complex.
The theme of the first few games never really appealed to me but I love the idea of aerial combat. I ended up picking up Battle of Britain as my first and only Undaunted game and have been loving it.
BI have all the Undaunted so far. Callisto does not appeal, a generic sci fi setting that I have no investment in just doesn't sing for me. Love BoB but it is the most stressful because it's punishing and initiative is SO important. I still haven't got to play Stalingrad, still on my shelf. North Africa is the most swingy in my opinion, it can be amazing but it sometimes just falls flat. I think Reinforcements is needed to round out North Africa. I don't often solo games but I have solo'd Undaunted and enjoyed it but I never use the system in Reinforcements, there is an insanely simple way of soloing just using 2 dice that I really recommend, it's on BGG. At the start of each round roll a dice for each side, highest gets initiative, a draw means it stays as it is. Then the side going first drops one of its 2 highest cards, do not look at the other sides cards. When the second sides turn comes you look at their cards and drop one of the two lowest value cards.
I hated Normandy because of one rule: you hit automatically on a 10, regardless of where you stand or what your modifiers are. I absolutely detested the whole experience of this game because of this one rule. You could stay in place and hit whoever you want if you are lucky. My god, it was horrible.
Fantastic as always. Thank you both so much for this awesome update!

The second best day to the real thing
Great video guys. Does anyone know which would better for a solo player new to the series: Colisto or Reinforcements + one of the WW2 games?

Great video. I want this game on my Collection! :)
Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the ways you play solo! Super helpful!

Won't you be glad to know that rule was changed in 2200 callisto!
