Excellent battle report. Brilliant editing, I appreciate how much work it must be to condense it down and still make it smooth while combining 4 camera feeds and 3 audio feeds.
Love to see the broadsides moving all over the battlefield. I was thinking of having a full missileside squad instead of the Fireknifes and commander.
Quick correcrion: The Emforcer's -1 ap only works from incoming "ranged" attacks.
Great scenery on board! I wish to watch some narrative campaign where Tau are have last bastion on this tower in centre of their city 🙂

Unfortunately IIRC he's a crisis suit commander which got removed from the codex options
I'm pretty sure he's an enforcer, but he still can't exist outside of Crusade unfortunately due to the removal of the onager gauntlet for anything outside of Crusade@@luketfer

You know what was so great about this, was I got to see nick in a more competitive game, really showcase how great a player he is. Stephen is such a great opponent but each turn was haymaker after haymaker and I have never been more impressed by nick than I have in this one. Both players walked in like lions and it was so fitting to end the game with that super cool final fight

holy Khorne, that was an amazingly close game. Always exciting when it all comes down to a single model having to kill another single model. A duel to determine the victor.
I imagine that last Eightbound climbing the chassis of the y'vahra and ripping the cockpit open to buzz buzz the fish inside.
Unreal match, one of the best I have seen. Wild that it came down to a 50/50 roll at the end.

The ability is -1 to the opponent's AP against 'ranged attacks'
He takes the -1 ap to his opponent's attacks in melee, which is not possible.

Yes, and honestly this match supports a theory of mine that if models would remain on the table until the end of Round 1 things would be a lot more fun and better balanced.
except havnt see tau win vs any army except orks since new rules released. the only reason it was even close was nick rolling good rolls
@@hamasmillitant1 This isn't a super hardcore channel, most of their lists are designed to be decently balanced for a good watch (I would assume).
@@hamasmillitant1 Keep in mind the codex is still new enough its not even allowed at major tournaments yet, while their waiting for the digital data sheets to give proper point costs. Not to mention its new enough it will take some time to figure out the changes, which is even worse due to how backwards Kayoun lines up to realities of scoring, while the new 3 function in a way that requires a different mind set than Kayoun.
What an epic battle! Khorne made the last hellbound a demon prince for sure.
Considering it would immediately get shot to ribbons after declaring victory, more likely punishment for losing the skull piles.

YES! I am excited to see how Nick uses all the new detachments, especially with his aggressive playstyle. Would also be interested to see him try Kauyon again, as GW changed the rules for it as well. Hope to see more videos and love the content!
Seems Steven forgot the Blessings roll there for turn 3. It wasn't shown, but he later used the 5+ fnp on the exalted eightbound, which would've required the blessing to improve it from 6+ to 5+ for that, so everything else should've had a 6+ if that were active.

Really appreciate the direction T'au went in the codex. We most definitely needed T'au shotguns.

We had breachers already... Genuine curiosity, you see the points and the rules. What is it about the codex you're happy about direction wise? We've been more limited than ever in an army that prides itself on its customization. Our data sheets are over costed in the extreme and the rules are quite lacking including Mont'ka being unusable due to sequencing and how they changed market lights. Where is the good?

Combat Cards is great, I joined after these guys kept plugging it & it's good fun. Definitely use the "explosions" code word once you're in - yes, even if you don't love Tau!
