What about final value fees from eBay? 13.25% of the final sale = $1,590 and 2.35% of the sale over $7,500 = $105.75 Total eBay fees = $1,695.75 $950-$1,695.75 = -745.75 Unless I'm missing something, it looks like this was a loss.
This was my question too. I enjoyed the video and info, but I don’t know how selling fees were not mentioned. This was a loss if I sell it on eBay. He should respond to this seemingly obvious question.
@@rmk1283 if you’re selling to a dealer at a show, you’ll probably get 70%-85% of recent eBay comps. It is similar, and sometimes even lower, for shops.
Hello! Love the information, but my question is how were you not worried the card would grade lower? Especially if you bought it on eBay and couldn't do a close inspection.
In a high yield savings bank account at 5 percent that $10600 would have got you a $530 profit with a lot less work. Also there are CDs out there with 6 percent and that 10600 would get you $636 profit. No work for both and guaranteed. This why sports cards, comic books and Funkos are getting crushed with lower sales. Putting the money in banks is a safer bet.
I'd love to see people put out videos for those who are not spending $10,000. Regular people might want to start with $150 to $200 to be on the safe side.
What if it graded PSA 7 and ended in BGS 7,5. While getting better grade is possible, going down on grade can also happen or not really?

This was my exact thought. 10% profit (but forgets to mention the 12.35% eBay fees, and whether this was promoted for at least 2%)

And he never replied haha this guy is full of crap
As someone who has collected cards as a kid but never sold, could he sell the card at a card shop or show and do ok? Just curious.

How do you do it as far as taxes
The key is you have ro be really food at "pre grading" cards... That's the hardest part
This only works if you are flipping. You can't hold the card for too long
I believe you are missing out on a lot of potential customers
Except you had to risk 10k+ up front and hope the player stays healthy
Zero VAlue in this, sorry. This is truly gambling.
It’s not if he had a minimum grade.
Based off the title this video should be all about lebron rookies
Haha even those go up n down
