@@evanpoole7829 San Andreas was already remastered for mobile, PS3, and Xbox 360, and Bully had to remade versions come out as well. Also, I disagree with the graphics on the mobile versions being horrendous. They looked rather good, at least GTA 3, Vice City, and LCS did. San Andreas did look horrendous with the updated visuals.

My favorite of the Saints Row franchise is Saints Row 2. For one complete customization of undershirt overshirts and jackets. Two Stillwater had a wider span of environments. Three NPCs did more than just walk around but danced, fished, sang in quartets,fire breathing, four your character would do idle animations when you went afk, five the separate gangs were actually separate and you could unlock there fighting styles and emotes, and last you could use street signs, trash bins, random bottles or almost all other street furniture and chairs as a swingable or throwing weapon including a fire hydrant.
Saints Row 2 should be the one getting the remaster. I would love to see Stillwater again for this gen and next gen.

They didn't remaster 2 due to not having the source code. Now, they have it! So a remaster may be in the works.
Hamfists Man I agree the the first game seems really dated and might be worth waiting for a remaster. Whoever the 2nd is really worth it and doesn’t seem old at all. The graphics don’t look too bad and it’s overall a lot better than saints row 3 and 4.

@@mr.rufasi2729 the landing on the rooftop was pretty memorable, but, nothing really compares for me to saving your "homies" after so many hours with them through the series. Unlike the GTA games (save for maybe San Andreas), you end up spending so much time with these characters with larger than life personalities that you can't help but start to care about them. So when you have the choice between Killbane and them, it's a no-brainer IMO.
How does the ending differ if you go after Killbane? Even with a second playthrough, I couldn't bring myself to risk letting my homies die.
I love how Saints Row was like a parody to GTA; but then GTO is now Saints Row.

Utsav Basu what they meant was that SR1 was trying to be a serious GTA clone, and now GTA Online is adding a lot of things that Saints Row The Third and IV had, like flying bikes and things like that.
Comparing saints row to GTA is like comparing family guy to the Simpsons.
Say what you want about Saints Row 4 but defusing a flying nuke to “Don’t want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith still might be the best moment of the games

Saits Row 2 had the absolute best story. That funeral scene was a masterpiece. Just the overall Ronins story part was so good and solidified Johnny as one of the best characters ever.

Yo, I just got the game a few days ago and when that part happened, I knew it was going to be a good game.

Protect the pimp was the best back in the early day's of Xbox 360.
It's Backwards Compatible on Xbox One and the Multiplayer is much more active now

Sr1 multiplayer was legit just fucking fun minus the ethernet ghost exploits ppl used to do in protect the pimp and the boosting gangs. Other then that it was fucking amazing and addicting. Just because u couldn't play maybe because ur own connection doesnt mean they shouldn't bring it back at all.

I would seriously buy the shit out of this. I loved 3, but thought the series meandered beyond that.
Was always told 2 was in some ways the best, but when I tried it, it really didnt seem to age well with unsupported resolutions and extremely janky controls. So yeah, a proper remaster of 2 would definitely be a buy for me.

Edit: People gotta calm down about what a remaster is, sure upgraded lighting and a couple re-models is cool but to get your $ worth I expect a little more from these companies. Unless you do ‘t care about your $ and spend it on everything that’s totally fine but for me I expect more, that’s all.
What do you mean? A remaster is very little improvement on a game. Given Saints Rows art style a major improvement is less likely to be seen. A remake like Resident Evil 2 or Final Fantasy are where major improvements and changes are done to it. Not only does it get heavy visually improvements the entire games code is practically redone (depending on how old the game is).

Taking the penthouse for the Saints is definitely the greatest mission ever. "Power" was the best choice

The Third is when they took Crazy and decided the entire game shouldn't really matter to much.
3 was awful but 4 was basically a parody game and was funny..3 was not funny or crazy in a good way. Just tried to not be GTA 4 which is a good thing but they didn't execute it well at all

A very appreciated serious moment to me was the very last mission. I always chose to save Shaundi but racing through town against time to the awesome score of "I need a Hero," thugs blasting you from literally all angles and explosions going off while you try to dodge incoming traffic ... that some shit.

its an alright ending but some changes i would have is to have the main guy of STAG (i forgot the name sorry) instead of the second in command and also just get rid of the gangsters in space part since i found it contradicting to the saints and them not wanting to be corporate again

Then I played the 4th, and now I have the 2nd on my PS3. Never got to play the Gat Out Of Hell, but I hope to replay the 4th agian tho. And try out the Gat Out Of Hell.

I remember at the end of my high school years it was spring vacation and we only had a couple more weeks of school left.
I went home and played this game for hours and just relaxed while having some Pizza. I'm so thrilled that this game has been remastered I definitely plan to pick up a copy.

This is a game I remember playing through, enjoyed every moment. It was my first Saints Row game and seemed very polished. I liked the arena bits with the cat as side games. Also once you complete you have infinite ammo/health and an open Zombie island to blast up so plenty of replay value.

AmirB The day and night looks completely different. The lighting is way more advanced than the originals, even better than 4’s. Straight up looks as if was made in a different engine. Only problem is the character designs.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been playing Saints Row since the PS2 days and I wouldn’t have played all the titles (and still do) if I didn’t love the franchise.
BUT I have to say that this is a remaster. It’s a remaster and that’s fine. It looks a lot prettier, but there are no new gameplay elements or changes to the overarching storytelling so this doesn’t really warrant the term ‘REMAKE’.
You wouldn’t call a film a remake if they just made it look better and suitable for today’s standards, right? Note that I used remastering films as an example to help paint a clearer picture about where my opinion stands, you may not agree and that’s also fine.

I’ve been playing Saints Row Remastered tonight been on it for 5 hrs and I am having a total blast with it, the graphics are awesome. I remember playing it on ps3 and absolutely enjoyed it back then, but the details of the weapons and vehicles and character models and the city, it is just really good and loving playing the game again.
Remember when this game originally came out on the 360 splinter cell black list came out the same day

Saints Row 3 was amazing, fun, pure-chaos, and had lots of variety. However as much as everyone shits on SR4, it wasn't a bad game. It was just a dramatic change to throw aliens and superpowers in. (Saints Row 4 being my favorite of the series)
You have to admit that being able to use Powers/Abilities in any Saints Row is just fun.
My favorite moment was either parachuting into the pool or being on the z island and suddenly I get an army of homies from the rim jobs

I never got the chance to play the first Saints Row, i wish they would remaster it or bring it to PC. Saints Row 2 is my favorite in the series, i love Stillwater way more than Steel Port and prefered the more "serious" tone. Also has anyone ever droven a vehicle in Saints Row 4? No? Me neither.
All the saints row games are on Steam for the PC..go there and spend alot less for pretty much the same thing...

Definitely going to buy this. It is one of my favorite games, but I would still love it if they would also remake 1&2. They may seem likes clones of GTA, but it I, and many other people, LOVED the gangster route it took. And also, the nostalgia, they were such iconic for many fans of the series.

It would be nice if GTA IV would actually run well on PC. It was such a bad console port of a great game. Would be nice if they would fix it and put some high res textures in it.
@@stevieg4210 Eh I'm not that excited about GTA VI because GTA V was so centred around Online without it being integrated with the single player mode very well. I'll probably buy it on sale or if the reviews are very good considering the single player mode. I'm much more looking forward to Watchdogs: Legion which was supposed to be released last March but unfortunately was delayed.
Why would you remaster SR3 before SR2
Because SR2 to many felt like a shittier version of GTA rather than its own thing.
They just recently found the lost source code so I feel they might remaster that one next.

@@Flourikum - That's not it. The source code for Saints Row 2 (and I think 1 as well) was lost years ago. They recently found the code though, so maybe we'll see a remaster in the future.

My favorite SR3 memory always was and will stay when me, at 15, decided to "speedrun" the game on normal difficulty and beat it in just over 12 hours. I think? It was under a day, I know that much.

All the remasters except for the one everybody wants: NFSU 1&2. If they keep the base game nearly identical except for graphics and maybe add a bonus map/story mode since the original game was rather easy to beat even on difficult settings.

To be fair, you were in jail for all of 5 minutes from your character's point of view. They were in a coma from the events at the end of 1.
I was never into SR 1 and 2. 3 got me hooked because of its over the top style, I love the 4th one as well, I know its not alot of fans Fav. but it is just over the top fun. I mean come on aliens, super powers and mayham oh my.

I love Saints Row 4, but the Third is THE Saints Row experience, no question.
My favorite moment by far is the decision at the end, and whatever your choice, you have to get there quickly with I Need a Hero playing automaically in loop.
My best memory from this is surelly, me playing against my best friend with the Vtols, like Starfox, but 1 vs 1. The city was the arena.
I love this game so much and it's just gotten even better with the graphics. The only thing I wish they would improve on is the driving mechanics but overall it's still the best and has only gotten better

@@TheMadHatter845 You are right but many people had it on the next generation of consoles. And because the game world was the same and it didn't really have a graphical upgrade on the next console generation and PC, it felt more like a big budget expansion pack rather than a sequel. A bit like the first Watchdogs was graphically underwhelming for the PS4, XBOX One and PC to be able to keep it looking reasonable by comparison on the PS3 and XBOX 360. Both still good games to play though (however neither is perfect).

They lost the source code for SR2 as they actually lost the rights to it and only recently got them back. Two people at Volition are working on the PC fixes off their own back.

I'm not gonna lie, saints row was creeping up on GTA when this game came out, then everything fell apart when 4 launched. 4 came out weeks before GTA V, which was one of the worst decisions a game company could make.

Not to mention that 4 just went too far with the crazy stupid as well, three did as well but not as bad. Really 2 is the best out of all of them as it is better balanced with better content in terms of customization and goofy to serious balance.

I think the original Saints Row: The Third had a unique style to it with it's characters, sure it's cool they got a remastered version and the graphics are amazing but I miss that unique style to the characters. That's just my two cents.

SR3 will always be special to me cause it was where I discovered my favourite band “The Dear Hunter”. Their song In Cauda Venenum was on one of the radio stations while you drive.
I loved just going to the Zombie location with the EMU let the zombies hit the EMU with you in it, doing so makes the EMU just spin crazy fast and sometimes it launches zombies away from you. It was a very popular glitch you could do with that specific car.

Saints Row IV is definitely my favorite, but The Third is a very close second place. I just love the crazy overpowered open world game style, and the sense of humor is frosting.
