Idk if anyone has caught this one yet but once you buy the venture/clothing store “Planet Saints” you can go inside the actual building. Once you go inside check out the walls closer toward the ceiling. There are little cherubs painted on that are modeled after Johnny, Shaundi, Pierce and Zimos. Some other characters are there too but they’re less recognizable.

The mimic chest is not just a Dark Souls reference, but a reference to Dungeons and Dragons role playing games which have been using mimic chest for twenty years before Dark Souls was ever a thing.

Fun thing is that that's not where dark souls got it from it whas from the game they made before all there souls games called Kings field and that game is from 1994. And darks souls made it popular so nobody thinks o its from d&d or Kings field no you think o it's a dark souls reference.

When I played I thought of two things. Mimic from dark souls and as well Fortnite save the world.
there was an easter egg that I found during Dustmoot (but I assume that it can be triggered anywhere albeit RARE) but if you shoot an enemy in the legs with the Pistol, shotgun or Rifle that you get during the Dustmoot missions there's a chance they'll actually do the Ace Ventura knee thing
Also during Dustmoot, NPC make reference to being shot in the knee, though I don't remember what the exact line was. No, it wasn't taking an arrow to the knee, but you could still tell it was a Skyrim reference once you hear the line.

The first flying saucer you showed looks alot like Cryptosporidium's ship in Destroy all Humans. The Turdis in both games has another reference attached to it... literally. The broken antenna atop the Turdis is a reference to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure as it is an exact copy of the antenna atop their time-travelling phone booth.

Another INCREDIBLY minor thing about that Mimic in the Dustbowl mission- The mimic ALSO makes "monster" noises if you hit it!
I was watching the mimic part of the video and thought “Oh, that’s a very nice D&D reference”

From what I've seen from another easter egg video, the Riddle at the end are directions to get to the 2nd space craft easter egg. You may possibly need to buy a pair of alien earrings at the shop nearby that's 20 bucks like it says to maybe trigger something else.
Are there animals in the game? Besides snikerdoodle? Because there is a coyote that shows up, I don't know what to do with...

The riddle does in fact lead to the underground ufo, me and a friend followed the steps and it lead us to it.

Technically, Mimics have been around for as long as DND and other role-playing activities have been around; they were only really 'popularized (and I use that term very egregiously when describing the feeling of any player upon opening a "chest" and discovering not loot, only warm, salivating gullets and daggerlike fangs piercing their stomach and lower back, attempting to vore them; the PTSD is real, unlike the treasure, which is just air and sadness)' by FromSoft, who are hardcore fans of fantasy and horror.

Yeah, I had no clue that mimics were a thing in Dark Souls, I had never played it. The VERY first thing I thought of when I saw that was D&D. Yeah... that kinda dates me... With the contaxt though, I'd say D&D is the actual reference they were trying to convey. (Edit) Also, if you shoot that chest you'll hear a LARPER "die" inside of it.

Here's a couple reference easter eggs that i found that nobody seems to talk about yet:
in the north part of Smelterville West there is a car wash that is a very clear reference to the A1A car wash from Breaking Bad.
When you build the laundromat venture there is a store in the strip mall called "Rapid Go Groceries" with a sign that says "I ASSURE YOU WE ARE OPEN!" a reference to the store "Quick Stop Groceries" in the Clerks movies.
Also in the laundromat strip mall to the right is “MAC’S” a reference to Moe’s (Tavern) in The Simpsons 😊

There's a gun cosmetic option to make your pistols look and act like Starlord's from Guardians of the Galaxy. Interestingly, there's also an unlockable car that also looks like Starlord's gun. Another cosmetic for the pistol is the Lawgiver from Judge Dredd. The gold monolith thing is called The Zohar, it's from the Xenogears game all the way back to the PS1 era. It was one of the first RPGs I ever played.

Did you know that the Tardis Easter Egg is a two for one? It also references the Bill and Ted Trilogy. Look at the antenna on the roof. Its the same one from Bill and Ted's phone booth.

I think the anvil on the blow up doll is a reference to Wile E Coyote and Roadrunner since that was a common gag in those cartoons. Another reference to that can be found in West Provedencia just north of Jim Robs. If you follow a small trail up to a rock, you can see a small painted tunnel on the rock that also appeared frequently in those cartoons.
Another video game Easter egg, once you purchase the eurekubator as a business, one of the testing missions you unlock has you test the “Quantum Aperture”. While testing this the following dialogue occurs:
“And the aperture?”
“Huge success”
“I’m making a note here”
The mission rounds out with your character saying “This was a triumph”. These are the lines from the beginning of the song glados sings at the end of portal.
the building is also a reference to the house in the show silicon valley
reverse those and you get the first few lines except for the "And the aperture?"

The Hannibal Lecter doll and his Buddy both look like they’re wearing Pokémon go shirts too for team Valor
You could see the way JR is dressed around the time you get JimRobs as being Minion like. Also, there's a saints row 2 reference. During one of the laundromat missions, you have to take a car with a body in to a monster truck and run the car over with it. There's a few other cars to run over there, and the one at the end is red, like the one Maero ran over not knowing his girlfriend was inside.
Sharp eye. I thought I was the only one that noticed that. Granted not everyone remembers Saints Row 1 & 2.
I love the dustlander weapons. The "Kills" make me laugh! Keep using them after the mission for fun!
Those missions in there entirety where just amazing. Probably the best thing in this game.
I think the first reference to another game is actually in the character creation at the start. One of the emotes is called "dab the sun" and is the praise the sun gesture from Dark Souls with a dab thrown in.
@10:08 i dont know if that train sound is in-game or added, but if it is in-game, thats a reference to the final race where Brian and Dom race at some train tracks. the ejector seat is more than likely a reference to a scene in “2 Fast 2 Furious” where Roman ejects someone from his car and says “ejecto seato, cuz!!”

So many Golden Easter Eggs in this game. It's really super fun to play.
There's another movie reference, at the country club store you can purchase a wooden hand. It's a reference to the Adam Sandler movie Happy Gilmore. Happy's mentor in the movie Chubbs Peterson had a wooden hand in the film.
As well one of the finishing moves you can do you fail kicking someone's shin hurting your leg only to then Crane kick them. Referencing the ending to karate kid.
And at the dia de los Muertos store you can purchase the luchador mask from the movie Nacho Libre.
When I saw Chubb's hand in the game I was laughing so hard. Surprised this one wasn't mentioned.

Mimics arent just from dark souls
There's a dark souls reference in the emotes, there's a "PRAISE THE SUN!" Emote
I'm not sure if you knew this but if you customize the "Ethel" in saints row 2022 you can make it look almost exactly like the 1966 batmobile
i actually stumbled across a "Snakes on a Plane" reference in one of the @tcha side-hustles with the Marshalls Snake Saloon

The Ethel has modifications that allow you to turn it into the 1960s Batmobile.

In the dessert (north east) I think there’s a green station wagon in a ditch with luggage everywhere. That’s from National Lampoon’s Vacation. Classic.
Mimics aren't a Dark Souls reference..it's a fantasy reference. Mimics predate Dark Souls so much.
At the end of the mission Good Cop/Bad Cop, one of the rewards is called the "Saintsblade" a skin of the pickaxe weapon that is styled after the Keyblade from Kingdom hearts. The keyblade that it is most visually similar to is the "Sleeping Lion" key from Kingdom Hearts two. when attacking using the Saintsblade, a very chimy, flourishy sound plays, along with purple Saints Row sigilf flying out from the contact point, similar to what happens in Kingdom Hearts
This has blown my mind, so going to use this!

I have used it and I freaking love it, been using it for the jam sessions and captchas
At 3:45 the roleplay finishers references one of the punching finishers in def jam fight for NY and as well the punching bots within the movie Real Steel. The other animation is based off mortal Kombat kotal Khan heart squishing fatality as well as bans grand cross " snatch " special move.
There are a couple more TV Easter eggs. One is Kenny’s ‘Spin blossom nut squash’ from South Park being one of the takedowns. Another is being able able to make the 1966 bat mobile out of the Ethel car, and the phone used to customise your gang is a purple version of the batphone from the same show.

@@Its_Pretty_Lame it’s not inherently bad just boring. The characters are annoying. It just doesn’t feel like a saints row game just a decent sandbox game. The shitty car physics are actually pretty funny though.
Much like the other Saints Row games particularly 3, 4, & Gat out of Hell it's a fun slightly humorous "time waster" of a game. There's nothing wrong with that. Not every game is going to be something you sink 1000 hours into
During the dustmoot mission I heard one enemy say wilhelm scream after being shot off the worm
my favourite easter egg has to be the challenge called "so anyway i started blasting" you never see its always sunny easter eggs so it definitely made me smile
theres also another Doctor who easter egg in the description of the angel statue in your collection "dont blink"
U can also find Charlie's pizza box hat and rubbish bag top, in 2 of the golden dumpsters
You can hear an idol calling for help from inside the caca cabana collectible, which is a cool detail cuz the mission you get it from the “Idols threat” mission where you drag around an idol who’s inside an outhouse, after you release him he asks if you’ll let you out and you reply that you’d let him go, not let him out.
When doing the venture mission for the "Hoverboard", listen to the dialogue on the telephone... -> Back to the future references

Those are some good finds! While exploring in the desert I came across an easter egg to the 80's sci fi movie The Last Starfighter, there is a trailer park with the name Starlite which is a reference to the movie's trailer park with a similar sign that reads Starlite Starbright.
the singing Bush actually has another easter egg song. if you wait it will sing Louis's song for clementine from telltale twd: the final season
The riddle actually leads to the UFO you found at 9:51. However, the easter egg doesn't seem to work even if you follow the instructions like wearing something pink and else.
Go to the store and get the item in the hat section... before you do, check to see if two coyote show up to the right of the spaceship entrance

if we would only stop hating this game for what it's not and start embracing it for what it is... minus the bugs.
While there are several things that didn’t reach players’ expectations, it’s just sad that those things hindered most of the reviews from showing us great things about this game. I, for one enjoyed it. Probably because I never really experienced the bugs everyone was talking about except for 2 very minor bugs that didn’t really do anything to hinder me from continuing the game at any point. One of those bugs even gave me a pistol with unlimited ammo. So Im not complaining about that 😂
I mean, to be fair(I haven't played it but I assume--) previous games had unlimited ammo as an upgraxe.

There are some Easter Egg weapons too, like the Saintsblade, which is basically a Saint's Row themed Keyblade skin for the Pickaxe.
You have basically solved the Monolith easter egg riddle already, it points to the UFO in the cave referencing The Thing. The riddle is giving you directions of a trail to follow. If you want I can give you a link with a video that shows it, though I'm not sure if you'd appreciate a link to a fellow Easter Egg Hunter channel.

You forgot Red Faction, another game series developed by Volition. There's a Hidden History mission around the Red Faction bar. This and another mission mention the Ultor corporation, the evil company in both Red Faction and Saints Row.
I'll probably wait until a sale to pick this up due to the reviews, but this world looks interesting to explore and I love exploring open game worlds.

Let me put your mindat ease. The game is worth every penny. I enjoy the hell out of it. I may even go as far as to say I enjoy it more than Saints Row 1 and 2. But that's just my opinion
Is it buggy? Yes. Does it get a little annoying sometimes? Also yes. However, I've enjoyed it a lot so far. Its been worth the money for me!
The cabbit is in a lot of volition games. It's not just a Saints Row reference.
In the game RWBY: Amity Arena, during the tutorial if you listen to the voice acting you can hear Pyrrah flub her line and even makes a comment on it. What’s great is that her actor stays in character when she does.

The "most mysterious" easter egg at 12:39 is a reference to the classic film 2001: A Space Odyssey, (and the book series that is based on as well as the sequel). That is the Monolith. Created by the Firstborn (theorized highest intelligent beings, that were among the first in the universe). It triggers and evolutionary shift on Earth. In 2010 (the sequel) Monoliths transform Jupiter into a star, and in 3001, millions of them are used as a protection to barricade Earth in an attempt to wipe it out.
i have a theroy on the begining of the of the riddle it says fork in the road and in boothill there is that one part where the guy says something about a fork in the road will decide your fate so mabye start there
The lady who gives out the heist quests (from Let's Pretend) is called Joannie Utah after Johnny Utah from Point Break. In fact the masks they wear are also a reference to Point Break.

It's from my understanding the space ship you pointed out that's underground is the mystery that's to be found on the monolith. Long story short, you already found the answer.
The brewery is a giant Red Faction reference. Right down to the release date of the game being used as a date in the city's lore.
also the only use of Ultor in the whole game as the company was a key part of both IPs
The mimic can also be a reference to Old School RuneScape. You get a mimic chest from clue caskets

I love how at 2:20 you can't shoot through the clearly open space under the board to hit the enemy and leaves a floating bullet hole. Attention to detail is goneso.

If you can, you should look at Star Trek: Elite Force 2, a pretty old game and half-decent, but features an easter egg in it's 3rd level that allows you to play a short, Star Trek themed version of Super Mario. It's really funny.
There's also an reference to the videogame Johnny Gat is stuck in in Saints Row 4.
It can be found as an arcade machine, at the location you drive to, to pick up the burner phone, for the Wanted app mission about meth dealers.
I don't know why, but the mere fact I can accurately create the Joker makes me want to buy this game. At a deep discount of course (professionals have standards!)

the mimic thing could just be a reference to the classic idea of a fake chest, which can be lots of games. dark souls, minecraft with the trapped chest, and call of duty zombies with the mimic chests.

Fun fact: after completing dust moot you can get some of the larping takedowns in the open world
Yeah. If you have one of the larp weapons equipped you can do the takedowns, and when shooting enemies they'll have an over-exaggerated 'death'.
There is a weapon skin for the RPG that turns it into a guitar case. This is almost certainly a reference to Robert Rodriguezs El Mariachi trilogy, more accurately Once Upon A Time In Mexico, where the Mariachi has a guitar case that shoots rockets in the climactic battle
Correction: it's actually in Desperado (the second movie in the trilogy) not Once Upon a Time (the third)

Captain! The second UFO appears to have a much bigger trail to it! There's a whole riddle leading players to the UFO and demands you wear pink when approaching. I think you should dig around and come back to it! I haven't found anything else yet. All I remember from my time playing was the riddle was on the hidden monolith, I think...
Edit here is I finished the video and feel extremely dumb, but still. The riddle is in reference to the second UFO.
Considering the "Larping" your doing, Its def not a Dark Souls reference, more D&D. And the Three Amigos easter egg might be my favorite one, thats so awesome they did that lol. Jane Foster lifted the Hammer too, so this easter egg is slightly wrong.
I actually think the game is incredibly fun. I know people were disappointed and technically it’s very poor with its bugs, but people are being way too harsh. I hope you enjoyed playing it when hunting for eggs!
People expect absolute perfection anymore when it comes to games, if there is even a SINGLE bug then people deem it the worst game ever.

I bought it on preorder and even though I gave it another go months later and it was better, the bitter first experience will remain.

I honestly like this game.sure I miss the characters from the old ones but this one plays like them and in many ways the same.the character/car/weapons customization is great,the driving is really smooth and there’s tons of content
This game would be better if Neenah was the main protagonist, the boss, eli, Kevin all have such corny dialogue but with Neenah, specially at the loss of her car (spoilers for about three hours in by the way) she actually sounds like a Saint of old. Not this quirky hipster rents due uwu nonsense.
What’s funny is I believe the riddle was to find the underground ufo you mentioned earlier in the video😂😂
if you go to the bottom of mountain shaped like a cougar, there is a loony toons style tunnel painted into the side of the rock
the blowup dolls might also be a trueman show reference since trueman and his best friend both drank bears on a bridge that was under construction
1:40 feels more like a Julius Caesar reference, the little guy on the ground with the knife in it's back screams "Et Tu Brute?"
The "turdis" is a mix of references, not only Dr.Who but it also has the umbrella on the top like the time machine in Bill & Ted

There is an enigma on it, which leads you to the UFO in that cabin :)

I snagged the Fast N' Furious Raycaster the second I saw it during my first session with Saints Row.
The game is an underrated blast...
I hate when people say something is from a popular thing which actually just used something that already existed, but because that thing is better known than the original source of something, the well known thing gets credited when people see the something in other places, when the something in question was actually an old concept by the time the popular thing used it.
The umbrella skeleton on top of the TARDIS is also a reference, this time to Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure

I think the "bath tub go-cart" is actually a refrence to "Mickey and the Roadster Racers" on Disney Jr. My son loves that show, Goofy drives a car called "The Tubster" which looks very similar.
There was a crashed station wagon with luggage spilled around that is a reference to the original "Vacation" movie in the 80's where Chevy Chase wrecked the family car in the desert then had to wander off to look for help.
Forgot a videogame reference, the Saintsblade reskin for the Pickaxe melee weapon is just a Keyblade from the Kingdom Hearts series, even with an added particle effects when you hit an enemy which is also what happens in Kingdom Hearts.
I do wonder though if the blowup doll in the desert with the anvil on top of it is a reference to Looney Toons' Willie Coyote, since a common gag in the Looney Toons era is for an ACME product to drop an anvil on someone, usually Willie.
With the Turdis, the Antenna sparking reminds me of Bill and Teds Excellent Adventures
Dunno if you covered them but on Boot Hill there’s an agent 47 lookalike fighting. I’ve found Walter whites car wash he buys and also references to stilwater on the radio towards the end of the game
You missed an easter egg as when he says "tis but a microtransaction" Its a refrance to the holy grail.
There is an ester egg you did miss. If you get the Ether car, all the body parts can be changed to the exact model of the Batmobile from 1966
