Brazilian portuguese sounds sooo beautiful. I decided to stop learning spanish and start learning portuguese because I fell in love as soon as I heard it.the first time.
Learn both! One will definitely help the other as there are so many similarities between the two languages in terms of grammatical structure and vocabulary.
"Its" is not equal to "it's", dumbass. You don't write well in Portuguese nor in English. At least I hope you're not half-literate in Swedish, too, lest you really graduate as a professional loser. LOL
I decided to take a break from French and German for a bit and decided to take up Portuguese for fun. So far I like it so much and with my Spanish and French, it's so easy for me! I'm going to stick with Portuguese for a while longer to see how much I can learn. No wonder Cervantes referred to Portuguese as a sweet language! It's very nice.

When I will be about to go to visit Brazil I will just make a quick crash course on grammar and I will be ready to explore :D Thank you so much for your beautiful work. I know more about Brazil from the Easy Portuguese episodes than I ever could learn from any other resource.
4:33 She didn't say "love your family" (amar sua família), she said "having lunch with your family" (almoço em família). You speak portuguese really well.
i intend on studying Portuguese in the coming year. I understood a good bit of this, being that my second language is Spanish. also, i loved those morenas... gorgeous, beautiful voices..
I have a coworker and for few months she's been hired, I've always wondered where she was from because her English and her Spanish sounded a little off to me; Off in a way, that it sounded strange. When she speaks English, it sounded like she had an accent from the east coast of the U.S. My exact description of her accent sounded kind of like Christopher Walken. I am not a native Spanish speaker, but her Spanish accent too sounded off. My first thought for some reason made me think that she was from Columbia, without really knowing what a Colombian accent really sounds like. I don't know why, but Brazil never really came to me, until my other coworker told me that she was from Rio. What language do they speak in Brazil? Portuguese. Now I know what a Portuguese accent sounds like. That is pretty cool.
Interesting. I've read once that this mix beans + rice was developed by the Portuguese settlers. Maybe they brought rice and beans to Angola, too. And after that I think it's very easy to fall in love with this delicious mixture. ;-)
you speak portuguese so so well 👏👏 i will be this good one day my first language is english, then french then brazilian portuguese and then basic arabic
Eventually as a Spanish speaker, if you listen to this language for at least 6 months through TV. This isn’t that hard. Vice-Versa for Portuguese speakers learning Spanish.
1:53 "Ninguém tem presa no domingo" actually translates to "nobody has prey on Sunday", I guess it's because you already found it on Saturday night. "Pressa" means to hurry, that extra s makes all the difference.
Olha eu que sou brasileiro, e estou estudando inglês e hebraico, gostei muito do seus videos e estou vendo, todos, estou me divertindo muito vendo as traduções do Português para o inglês. Parabéns.
Well, my native language is Spanish and i'm learning English and Portuguese as well. And I'm very happy to understand all in English and some words in Portuguese. Like if you want to learn Portuguese.
Although we have some problems, mainly social and political, I am so proud of being brazilian. Our culture is so rich regarding culinary creations, music (lovely MPB!) and the people in general which is very happy and friendly. Portuguese is a hard language to know...even for us!...but such as elegant. Overall, my country could be better. I wish it was fairer in some areas! However, I would miss here all the time if I lived outside!
The two girls said “almoço em família”, or lunch with the family” not “amor em família” (love for the family”. It’s subtle to the non native ear! That’s why they said right after” passeio em família”.
I managed to learn basic BP, when I lived in a travellers hostel in London., since the majority of backpackers were from Brazil and all the other countries in South America, Kiwis, Aussies etc etc. And I'm still trying to practise. Just love learning different languages
Wow. I just watched this video, because I like to know what Portugese sounds like. I am really amazed it sounds a lot like Spanish. Even the accent sounds alike. I also noticed cognates. The first that comes up is Ola, which is like the Spanish word Hola. It means hello. I think Portuguese spells the word better. It lacks the h, which is not pronounced. I am sorry I can't type in the accent on the a. I think I can understand why Portuguese and Spanish were so similar. There would have been people living on the Iberian Peninsula. They would mostly speak Latin, or something similar to Latin. Then they would have diverged a bit both linguistically and politically. They form Portugal and Spain, which separate respective languages. Compared to divergence among countries in general, the split between Portugal and Spain was fairly recent. So they still seem relatively similar. this is just an educated guess. Anyway, I am glad I got to listen to Portuguese. It is still as beautiful as the other Romance languages.
Honestly, I think the most difficult thing that most folks have a very hard time with in any language, especially português is not speaking the language, but hearing or say listening to it!
Caramba Cristina, você é Croata? Perfeito seu português, claro que como todo mundo quando fala uma língua estrangeira, tem sotaque, mas sua fluência é incrível.

Kristina, congratulations on your Portuguese! I would like to add, though, that the translation in the subtitles is sometimes inaccurate. I would also give this tip as it seems to be a common mistake among foreigners: you asked him if he had rice and beans, as in, if he ate it. That's fine in English but non-existent in Portuguese, we would refer to the action itself (to eat, to get, to take) instead of "to have". Another example would be "experimentar" instead of "tentar" when referring to food.
I love how Brazilians talk to eachother with such familiarity like they know eachother, such open communication!
Brazilian portuguese sounds sooo beautiful. I decided to stop learning spanish and start learning portuguese because I fell in love as soon as I heard it.the first time.
