dude thanks for this 4 part lesson it was great. Another song I'm trying to learn that I can't find any help for is Sunday Sermon by Booker T and the MGs. I see you haven't done tutorials in a while but figured I'd throw it out there. Maybe you have some tips

This tutorial is so brilliant - it’ll take a lifetime to master but I can get through it now after a couple of hours practice. Thank you! 🙌

Awesome tutorial, normally I can't stand people chatting shit on UA-cam videos but you are a great communicator. Thank you.

Ah, that's what I was afraid of. I'll give it a whirl without music using your excellent video. Thanks for the response!

Thank you for this tutorial, I love this tune! ;)
By the way, for the ascending scale-like part (from ~0:41 secs) I wonder if Billy Preston played this as octaves, rather than single notes....what do you think?
Are you familiar with 'Up on the Rock' by Ray Bryant? Another great piano number that I'd love to see a tutorial for (challenging key though!)
    Thanks again!

You play this very well...much, much better than I ever could...perhaps because this is a tutorial and, you are holding back a bit from really "feeling" the groove...to ensure the folks who are viewing this as a "piano lesson" are able to follow along/clearly view your hands and the keys...I have to leave two comments (please don't get the impression that I am dissing you or your skillset...just expressing my thoughts)
    1. The piano playin here is by IKE...ALL DAY LONG. It is often said/written that Billy Preston is on the piano here...he's DEFINITELY NOT. However, he plays a bit of organ on some of the songs that appear on this album. Billy was playing with his fellow Dorsey High colleagues Arthur Lee and Johnny Echols in The American Four/Arthur Lee and the LAG's at this time...he was JUST about to join up as a regular on SHINDIG also.
Many people are unaware that IKE TURNER was a phenomenal pianist...I'm sure that you are aware of that. The complete giveaway indicating that the piano was played by IKE is his signature "bounce" off the keys as he's playing...Ike had very large hands and super long fingers...he was incredibly dextrous and he utilized them to push the groove through the pocket in much the same way that a great drummer would. That swing and jump off the keys is also something that is lacking in this rendition of "Gettin Nasty." Again, not dissing your playing because you are likely trying /concentrating on clearly and, cleanly hitting the keyboard and presenting the notes very obviously in the video.
    2. That said...super awesome of you to post this "tutorial" and, share this amazing tune with your viewers. I'd love to see you playing without distraction and really letting yourself get your groove on!
    Cheers

Thanks man! That’s cool to know that Ike was really playing. I can’t remember if I read it was Billy or someone told me back when I was doing research for the tutorial. I digress.. you’re right about there being a difference in feeling and performing a song verses laying out good teaching examples. I’ve played the song live many times and between having an audience dancing and a band behind you with a tight drummer makes all the difference in the world in regards to feel. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me. If I still had the keys to the channel so to speak (forgot the password) I’d make an edit to rectify the credit.

Das Arrangement ist gut, aber die Fingersätze sind, hoffentlich nur zur besseren Darstellung auf dem Video, nicht gut - nicht nachmachen. Es grüßt eine, die davon etwas versteht.
