- Father Beocca was a main character in both The Saxon Stories novel series, and The Last Kingdom television series. Beocca was a priest in the household of Ealdorman Uhtred. He re-baptised Uhtred after Uhtred's name was changed from Osbert, following the death of Uhtred.

Beocca is too rare of a man to exist, to love unconditionally, to lead those who need it, to give thanks when it's unspoken. He was Uhtred's soul and his heart and made him the man we know and respect. He may be Uhtred Ragnarson son of Uhtred. But Beocca was his father, the one he needed in the most violent times of his life. Not enough characters who's wholesome to the end no matter what.

Beocca was the emotional center of the show, it'll be tough with out him. At least Uhtred still has Finan and his boys to bring some humor and warmth to the constant bloodshed and treachery around him.

The love between the characters of this story - Uhtred and his company - is honest, pure and unwavering. They do not lose faith in one another and they always have each other's back. That is why I love this series.

i love their relationship. Beocca represents everything Uhtred doesnt believe in or sometimes even respect. But he loves and respects the man himself and their relationship always transcended belief and religion. Only thing that mattered was the purity and deepness of how much they cared about each other

Great video. Huge fan of the show, if it's still underrated I have no idea why. To me it's up there with the best of them, even every episode has been good as far as I recall, that's very rare.
