      There's another task from earlier in the series where several contestants fail at siphon because they forgot that detail

      yeah, I would argue that he still moved the bucket, if he asked someone else to do it. It is similar to how you still hit a target, even if you used an arrow to do it.
      And you couldn't move the [other] bucket @Victor Slimak as that is still the bucket. In fact, the way it is phrased, you are more likely to be allowed to move Bucket A, as bucket B was the one mentioned directly before "the bucket". Still, I would argue that both classify as "the bucket", since the one you decide to move becomes the one of special import (and thus what "The bucket" would refer to).
      I think I would carry water in the hose like the other guy did (at least I were thinking that is probably the best method), if I did that ice bucket challenge. But I might also have simply gone for soaking clothes in the water and carrying them to the other to wring them out, at least if I got the referee to give me his clothes to do it (The hat wouldnt be [funny] enough. And I have seen that he is expected to take his clothes off if asked, on other tasks).

    This is like the potato throwing task, one of my favourites. Very simple, taskmastery setup, but the joy is in the way Greg handles cheating, unfairness, unforeseen outcomes... Brilliant!

    Everyone tried taping the colander from the outside... Should have taped it from the inside, and the weight of the water would hold the tape in place.

      Depends on how big the bag is. It's big enough to tape the bottom, but probably not for the sides. The strainer is bigger than you think.

      @First Last You are doing actions resulting in the bucket being moved, breaking the rules. The rule is clear on the bucket not being allowed to move from their location, regardless of your way of moving them. It would be like saying wearing gloves means you're not moving it, the gloves are.

    Tear the bag open, line the inside of the colander, tape it in place, fill it up.
    Simple.
    They were actually given enough for a few solutions to move a decent amount per trip.
    Although I would’ve run around for a min or so to check out the area for any useful items like a bin bag or something.

    How about just labelling the original bucket "Bucket B"? You could use the tape to do it. Seems like they intentionally phrased it that way to me, and should be a lot easier than moving buckets or water.

      Or even simpler than that

    I just realized why Greg is so perfect for his role as the taskmaster... He's just a dickish detention teacher. He's sitting around making children do meaningless tasks for the possible reward of being able to leave early because he doesn't believe in the punishment nor do they wanna be there. And you can believe me because while I've certainly been expelled suspended and even attested on school grounds I have never once in my memory had detention which makes me a unique expert on detention.
    I do however remember walking home back in like k-1 with hands that are just twitching and crippled as the muscles and tissue where ripped up from spending countless hours writing meaningless statements in detention. I just don't have any memory of the detention its self.

      they say they only figured out by that camera what happened. So I assume after the challenge when they were moving to the next thing he threw in that coffee into the bucket. So after the challenge when there wasn't a full camera team following his every move. Little did he know there was still a go pro running...
      He can't have done it before the challenge btw, cause he didn't know what the challenge was.
      Or alternative. He was told to throw his coffee into the bucket, but I'll doubt that.

    I like that Al didn't get penalized for bribing Alex because for one, it doesn't say anywhere that it's not allowed and second, the main indicator of corruption is not bribes being offered, it's bribes being accepted.

      @@bloodynoses9693 If it was too cold it wouldn’t work, but we can’t tell that from watching. Just because it feels cold doesn’t mean the ground is frozen solid. And it’s clearly pretty wet out. If it wasn’t, they’d be able to carry a small amount of water to the dirt. There’s absolutely exposed dirt by the fences or any other poles in the ground. It’s never 100% grass. And packing that colander thing with mud on the inside would be very doable. I guess I don’t understand why you think it wouldn’t work.

      @@elibeli597 well they’re in a field,and I’m not too sure if they own the field but having a big hole of dug up dirt isn’t something you would probably like seeing, but I guess they could repatch the ground if they do. But digging a hole in a track field...? And with what tools ? Dirt would be pretty hard to dig into with your fingernails , it might be softer if it was well soaked but it might still be a nuisance. I’m not an expert on dirt but that’s just my thoughts. Also what is the fairytale called

You could’ve seen it from the video, if you look at the start of the video, where the man asks what the peas are for, you can see his breath meaning it must’ve been quite cold. Also the clothing is a obvious indicator that it is chilly. Also they literally said the water was freezing and the temp was also freezing . So the soil probably couldn’t have been soft enough for digging

      @@bloodynoses9693 I’m not suggesting they dig in the grass. Along the edges of the field, which are pretty close, there would definitely be open dirt. The fairy tale is a variation of The Princess and the Frog, The Frog King, The Well of the World’s End, or whatever you want to call it. There are a lot of versions of the story and that’s the one in a book of fairy tales I had as a kid.

      Edit: means I don't even have to use the hose.

    my idea that i came up with instantly is. Siphon as much water out of the bucket into the hose as possible, then plug both ends with thumbs and transport to the other bucket..

    after watching the international versions, it kinda funny seeing Rob being so cold, when in the Danish one they are often outside when its freezing and in the Norway one there even have specific tasks for outside in the snow (I know the big difference is they are prepared to be outside in the snow and Rob was not).

      @@SKM6540 If the bowl is bigger than the plastic bag then you would have to rip the plastic bag in dozens of pieces to cover all the holes. To do that successfully would require great care so I really dont think it would be worth the time you invest - potentially destroying everything because it is hard to do that without scissors.

    IFAW, A nonprofit organization that rescues among other things dolphins, just dealt with one of the largest dolphin standings on record. They rescued and relocated dolphins, over 150, off the coast of Maine in the United States. I think Alex Horne needs to donate that 60 pounds, or US$120 to the cause. I have no doubt that the money wasn’t originally donated and this nonprofit organization could really use the help.

    With just the hose you could have gravity siphoned entire hose volumes out, capped both ends and transferred to other bucket without loosing a drop. You’d be laying chest down and cheek on the ground to initiate flow each time though.

      Cannot move either bucket. You may touch the buckets, rub them, caress them, but you may not move them from their original positions.
      My thought was to siphon the original bucket as well, but I would need a lower second bucket, bowl, or pan for that to work.
      I read a couple of comments on soaking clothes which is really creative, just not dependable because not everyone was wearing thick wool. The one guy had that idea with the wool hat but it really wasn't ideal to only soak one article of clothing at a time.
