Big thumbs up for this recipe. It’s a dish I’ve eaten but had no idea how to make it. And the fact that it uses chuck roast is awesome. I see chuck roasts in the store and think the only thing to use it for is a roast with potatoes and carrots. (I ate enough bland Sunday roasts growing up that it’s something I have no interest in ever making.). I will take your construction technique and improvise when I make this. I’m sure my Tower of Pisa al Pastor will fall a time or two.
Y’all… some people literally cannot eat pork for religious reasons or allergies. I’m allergic to pork and it SUCKS. That’s why I gotta use beef, even if it’s not typical
Tacos al pastor are made from pork and about 8 ingredients.. what you made is roast beef with pineapple. Probably some kind of Taco Bell stuff with pineapple. Next time add a banana
Im from Mexico. Although tacos al pastor are made of pork, traditionally, this variant looks amazing. Kitchen has no rules!!!!
Pastor is pork🐖 But doesn't hurt to try with beef
Your kettle and charcoal usage here is impressive. Please more videos showing these types of skills. Cheers.
Im mexican, maybe it's not like the original recipe, but it's a very good spin off and that "adobo" is very mexican. I give my mexican approval.
Thank you, Pablo!

Súper bien Chef Gavin! You are now officially invited to our carne asada! Love the heating tortilla technique. Saludos 🖖

Hope you enjoy
Thanks for the recipe
Pastor made with beef? First time I've ever heard of that.
I always thought Al Pastor was pork and Carne Asada was beef, recipe still looks good but might use sliced pork shoulder instead
So good that I had to subscribe:)
Thank you for sharing! This looks delicious.
It was!
Recipe looks good. Music is brutal. Here in Texas, you just drive down the street for this. Really a great meat.
Love the video and the cooking technique, I'm going to use it to prepare my pastor tacos made with pork not beef the proper way.
That looks awesome.

They've said it before, but I'll say it again to keep it alive: tacos al pastor are made with PORK.
