Oh yeah let's get ready for the most annoying temple in the entire game yay!
Also i don't think Darunia or the other sages are dead, i think its similar to how it happens in ToTK, they got the call that revealed their destiny and decided to become sages, except in OoT we don't see it, at least that's how i like to think about it.
AND
if you wanna do more exploring later here are a few tips that can help:
- try to break every big rock you see (except the grey ones, you already saw they are unbreakable, don't mind them)
- when Navi turns green there are a few songs you can try, the Song of Storms, the Song of Time, Zelda's Lullaby and of course the scarecrow song
- when you see a circle of small rocks you can try putting a bomb in the center or playing the Song of Storms
with these you can discover a lot of things.
oh and my headcanon for the spider guys is that their feet are glued to the floor lmao
"Oh no. There's room for more shoes!" - A sentence I've never expected to hear from a woman.
The Gosipstone launching up is even funnier outdoors as it goes into the stratosphere with nothing to stop its trajectory and causing it to blow up.
If you want its practical in-game purpose where it lives up to its name, then you have to complete the mask trading side quest first.
In the meantime hitting it with your sword will tell you the time and if you are low on health playing some of the songs on the ocarina to the stone should help you out.
If you want to see the Gosipstone do another pointless funny thing try using Din's fire on one.
Also a funny thing you can do with the Iron Boots is if you think a cutscene is about to happen and you put on the Iron Boots first, the cutscene will play with the Iron Boots walking sound effect which to me adds a nice level of humor to the cutscenes.
I've always thought the spider family members are happy, I never even made the connection of them possibly trying to move the same way as when they were cursed... now I'm questioning it too lol. (jk, I really think they're happy.)
Btw the Zora Shop owner was basically just giving you the hint to get the bigger rupee pouch from them, but you already did so it was kinda pointless haha.

If the Water Temple gets too frustrating, a thing I did when I played was do a bit of the water temple, then go do a bit of the Spirit Temple then return and do more of the water temple then do some side quests in between breaking it up like that is something the game allows a bit more with the adult dungeons and of course the warps songs are great for going back and forward between dungeons. Of course trying to tackle multiple dungeons at the same time does make the story a bit more disjointed, so each method of game play has its pros and cons. Also There are times in the dungeons where some of the Heart Pieces or Gold Skulltulas require an item you find in another dungeon to obtain, in that way the game does reward backtracking and trying different things out. These videos are great by the way. It is so fun to see fresh eyes discover this game and its mechanics.
The Ice Cave
It's a cave... made of ice... astonishing, I know.
So instead of lore, how about some advice for the Water Temple.
1) Be patient and don't be nervous. The temple is tedious not hard. If you're nevous or impatient you might miss stuff.
2) While underwater, you can only use the hookshot to attack. But, you can still use your shield to block enemy attacks.
3) Remember that being underwater allows for movement in all directions, including up.

The Hero's Spirit, the Stalfos that teaches Link new combat moves in Twilight Princess, is Link from Ocarina of Time.
Ooooh snap, I never knew there were so many connections between TP and OoT! It's making me wanna replay through TP again to see what else is similar...

yes the songs are used in twlight princess. lets just say its a sequel to oot and apart of the timeline.
You could use the boots too in the waters where jabu jabu used to be. Just a tiny hint. ;P
Also the rocks in the same area looks rather suspicious.

Either way, I actually prefer your interpretation of them being behaviorally damaged from being spiders for so long :D
Such thing would fit even better into a game like Majora's Mask (because of it's dark-existential themes).
EDIT: Oooh, that made me think of a question - if you don't mind:
Staralyia, do you happen to move and behave differently as vtuber than IRL (e.g. more expressive eye- and body- movements, swaying to make the hair move, etc.) and has that behavior started to rub off onto your IRL behavior yet? ^^
Oh, I don't mind! I didn't think about it much before, but yes, I think the wiggles from making the hair move has kinda spread to IRL movements. Lol I don't like to sit still while talking (~‾▿‾)~

Running backwards is the fastest way to travel across hyrule on foot. Also, running backwards towards a ledge will stop you from jumping off and you'll just grab the ledge.
I don't know how to run backwards though 😅
Is it like a bunch of backflipping?
@@staralyia You just press/hold the Z-targeting button and then move backwards. It's a speedrunner strat. It takes practice though, as you won't know be able to see where you're going, and correcting your positioning is a bit slower too.
