Thanks. I've also heard that there are an overwhelming amount of instances where the control is taken form you in order to focus the camera on a new event. This is probably one of the worst gaming sins one can implement. I'll be giving this game a pass for now. Maybe wait for some potential improvements and a sale longer down the road.

Playing through this now. It needs some HW1+2 QoL patches, because some things are missing. Also the AI fleet control seems to be bugged where it will often disband orders or ignore enemy attacks or incursions. This could be due to limitations with the stance system but I feel there is some logic missing.
The main antagonist is hilariously stupid and reminds me of Shriek, lmao _(keep in mind she is meant to be 1000 years old, but acts like a 15yo on P)_

I'm going to assume this game had a different story initially but that was changed to fit with 'modern audiences' when it should have stay with things like the black and white painted cutscenes, with minimal, cold and professional voices with bits of emotion coming through when needed (like Return to Kharak in the first game). Because everything I have heard about the story is that it is bad, really really bad. That and the 'normal' difficulty is so easy you may as well roll your face across the keyboard.
How bout Returnals lead beat some sense into these leads eh?
Hardspace and Homewolrd 3 writing was overseen by Lin Joyce, which has ties with DIGRA another SweetBay Inc esque "shovel diversity in gaming " company.
And she has the title of "Director of Narrative Properties" at either BBI or Gearbox... WTF kind of title is that. Sounds like someone who would inject woke bullshit into all the writing without having any writing skill herself. Her previous work has been on Borderlands 3 which is widely accepted to have shitty writing also.
lin joyces twitter, which is now deleted was full of extre social and political ideology. - abortion enjoyer, DEI enthusiast and wanted to see less men in the media that she consumed.
She is not a writer , she is a political & social activist with more pressing agendas than to write a fitting story for any franchise.

Stories bad Netflix tier don't even bother with it Warzone is fun turning NILPS off in the options fixes a good chunk of the gameplay issues wait for like a 30% sale

There's literally nothing woke about the plot of HW3.
It's a dirty money grab. The controls lack compared to before and are unresponsive. And the campaign is far too short, like 4 hour or so.
Not worth the money. Wait until it's on sale.

I was pondering picking this up, but no longer!
Problem with this woke infection is the main symptom - doing bad job. And it's not because i don't like "woke", but because they do really bad job.
There's literally nothing woke about HW3's plot. There's no sense in injecting the culture war where it doesn't belong.
