- Our 7 News crews are tracking conditions ahead of Monday's Bills-Steelers game. The Wild Card game was moved from Sunday to Monday because of snow and safety concerns.

Reporters are lying idiots, with very small uneducated minds. I live a few miles from the stadium, right now Sunday at 1:20pm it has been a near white out. The real issue is not the ability to play ball the issue is you would have to play it without fans in the stands as about a foot of snow has fallen and roads would be impassible for 78,000 fans.

This type of weather was a typical winter day back in the 70s and before. And we only had those wool coats, not the long, warm puffer coats that everyone wears today. My car battery died the other day and all I could think about is how my life is so easy with a cell phone and jump box in the car. When I was a youngster driving in the 80s, I would have thought the technology of today was magic!
I would have loved to see a game in this weather. It’s how football should be played.

Back in the 70s they used to play in the Frozen Tundra below zero weather no problem.

I live right behind the stadium. About 4 ft of snow I think and no visibility. Snow plow was down my street 3 times since 4 am but have stopped. There's just awful visibility, lots of drifting snow, wind. I don't think it would have been safe for 60,000+ people to come to Orchard Park today.

Yes there is a travel ban. I live right behind the stadium. Looks about 3 to 4 ft of snow right now. Big wind gusts, drifting snow, no visibility. Snow plow was down my street 3 times since 4 am but have stopped now. Losing battle until snow and wind subsides. I don't know what it will be like tomorrow but no way 60,000+ people could come to Orchard Park safely today. Steelers aren't here yet and Bills are not coming to their practice facility today either.

I just stuck my head in the freezer to see what its like in Buffalo. I saw a freezer burn steak, my ears froze and I saw a a picture of NY's governor. I am forever traumatized -- Ill stay in Florida.

Game would've sucked in this kind of weather anyway, straight up. Very few possessions, zero passing, no one wants to see a game played at 10% of it's potential. The band of lake effect is going to be parked over orchard park for the entire day today and they'll be getting probably 3-4 inches per hour, which is impossible to maintain and impossible to play football in. Playing in 3-4 inches of snow, that's one thing. Playing in 2 feet? Another thing entirely.
It's not about whether the game would be able to be played, it's about the massive clusterfuck it would cause with 70,000+ people converging on this area all at the same time. There'd be accidents all over the place, first responders struggling to get through, I mean... it goes without saying that trying to have an NFL playoff game there today would've been a DISASTER. If you can't see that then you really need to have your head examined. The risk to public safety outweighs anything else. It's not like playing in below zero conditions, where you can just layer and be smart about what you wear. There would be accidents and people getting trapped in their cars all over the place and not enough first responders to care for everyone. The Governor did the right thing.

Decisions are not necessarily being made based on the teams' abilities to play in bad weather or people sitting in the stands. It's about 60,000+ people being able to get to Orchard Park safely. There's no visibility right now , drifting snow, high wind gusts. Law enforcement would be overwhelmed assisting motorists and walkers trying to get to the game. Travel ban in effect. Stadium and lots need to be cleared. Its a mess out there and this is all over and above the teams' abilities to play in bad cold weather
Also, for good or not so good, the stadium is located in a mostly residential area. It's just not easy to navigate in the kind of weather we are having right now.
