So if "you can't change a story once it's been told", how did she go back to be able to throw him the rope? I know at 1st glance, people will think that she was always there and then the story has never changed. But then if she yelled down the chimney, she would have known it was Boyd. For that reason, why would she throw the rope down, helping a random stranger. How would she have known that she wasn't helping one of the monsters get out of a trap?
@@EMSS-ul8bqAs you stated, Julie was the one who threw the rope to Boyd the whole time. The whole point of them showing her do it was to establish that there was a “time travel” element to the ruins and that Julie would be integral in affecting events that will or have already happened in the town. Hence the last scene when a future version of her was trying to save Jim. As for why she didn’t yell down the well … 1) I believe she thought she was dreaming (since she saw herself chained to a wall), 2) she didn’t recognize Boyd’s voice and 3) I think the old man chained to the wall promised to help her escape if she threw down the rope. I have to go back and watch to confirm.
@EMSS-ul8bq Well I think she was clearly a bit in shock and confused as to what was actually happening, so when Martin told her to throw the rope down she just did as she was told and then before she had a chance to ask any questions, Martin and Boyd were gone. Super cool you got Ricky on the channel! And man, that was quite the finale! It was great, but also frustrating, because we have no idea when we are getting more lol
I just started the show last week and watched it all the way up to finale today. I love it and it’s starting to make sense watching so close together. With what we know now there is so much season 4 can explain. I want more!!!
I think Tabby and Jade were apart of the group who chose to sacrifice their children for eternal life, but they tried to back out when it was too late, so instead they told them the story that they poured into the roots. But because their daughter was still sacrificed, they get eternal life, they are reincarnated again and again as a form of punishment for defying whomever they made the immortality deal with.
@@Tony-l9g7ythey did say on the show the monsters were all original town members who sacrificed (their?) children to become immortal. There are a lot of open questions on how they got trapped in the town instead of just having immortality and why they became monsters since I don't think anyone would try for this kind of immortality. They didn't get what they thought they were getting but I don't see any evidence that any of them are on the side of ending this mess. So many opens.
@ what about the Boy and that man in the yellow coat. How did he know Jim and what they were digging in that whole. What the heck is fromville because it has a portal lol.
@Tony-l9g7y my theory is that they’re able to change the form they appear as. The MIY(man in yellow) could be Abby from the dungeon, aswell as one of the dogs in the forest when tabby&jim went looking for Ethan in season 1. The BIW(boy in white) would likely have the same ability, he changes his appearance to make people trust him, he’s a boy to Ethan and Victor because they’re children at heart and want a friend. He could be Tom the bartender to push Jade in the right direction, being Tom because Jade was falling into alcoholism and began staying in the bar, and the Father to push Boyd on the right path because Boyd already had strong connection with Father and he’d take his words to heart, aswell as Martin in the dungeon being a marine would introduce a special understanding between himself and Boyd, making it easier to trust, close enough to cut Boyd and give him the worms.
They havent been playing it right for years now. They cant finally do 1 episode that explains a couple things and we forget about the thousands of BS questions they spent 20 hours on feeding us through annoying writing
I don't think so too many times they didn't necessarily explain where they were going and just hopped to some other thing like this guy in the yellow just comes out of nowhere completely changes the aspect of the show and kills Jim in the middle of the day after playing some songs that no one even talked about for 3 seasons
Last week I said I doubted if we were gonna get any answers besides Fatima's baby in the finale. I've never never been so happy to be wrong in my life!
Btw having Ricky openly talk about theories is kinda cool. Adds credence to his proclamation that he doesn't know more than us until Season 4 shooting starts
We had 5 episodes of info spread across 10. This show is good but so much time was wasted this season. Glad they renewed it because they’re really dilly dallying with the story
Agreed. Nothing important ever seems to happen until the end of each episode. The rest is just talking and useless stuff for the most part. I wish they’d show us some cool stuff happen between the residents and the monsters a lot more. But instead, we get people sitting at the diner or walking down the street.
This show has so much connections in Fullmetal alchemist, in FMA people was also sacrifice for immortality, there's nightmare creatures type of entities, there's homunculus, big bads middle bad, heroes
So so glad you did this breakdown. I love this show. Please follow up with previous seasons if you haven’t. Thanks for all the work you put into these breakdowns.
This entire season was too slowly coverd but the end episode was awesome,I didn't even blink ,and iam eagerly waiting for the next season with unmasking the real truth
When i first started bingeing this show I searched youtube for your channel, no lie, i was sad you weren't covering lol glad to see this episode though!
I think the reason that Tabitha and Jade are the only ones coming back to life (kinda reincarnating) is because they also sacrificed their kid, whether they wanted it or not. So just like the monsters, they also have gained the ability to live forever. Interesting about the smiley rebirth scene is that you can see 11 monsters around him (6 male and 5 female). So with smiley that would be 12 monsters (perhaps there was one couple of two men that sacrificed their kid?). This means that number 13 and 14 of their ethernal life squad would be Jade and Tabitha (since there were 7 children sacrificed).
I feel like Julie may be able to change some things in the past. Mainly because she was in the physical form, Jim could touch, here, and see her. This is not usually common in film when a character doesn't physically visit the past.
and thats why jim died... in next episode julie will go back again , but this time wont call jim , and he will be alive noone will know julie can go back the entire new season , just watch
I think the first episode of season four will be a flashback to how the towns people were before the man in yellow othered them eternal life… I think the towns people may have cannibalised the children as there’s this big hint towards people drinking blood and the monsters biting people.
Great video and great interview man!!! This was a great finale and I’m hyped for season 4!!! Smileys back baby! This season was overall solid, had some slow points but overall a solid one and we finally got a couple answers.
I don't even care about these monsters at all. No one should ever be killed by them cause they know how to avoid them at night. They shouldn't even be part of the story anymore. Work on the lore of the town and figuring out how to get out of the town.
Julie coming back in time was the knowledge the man in yellow was saying comes at a cost. so julie coming back is the reason jim dies creating a time loop. they want us to think the man in yellow was talking about them remembering the past lives but If you watch the man in yellow when he says that knowledge comes at a cost hes looking at julie then looks over to jim meaning hes saying it to julie about her coming back in time and not about jade and tabatha.
I think this man doesn't want the children to be saved, he warned Jim to watch out his wife but Jim just helped her more which made this man come and k him If u this abt it Julie said i think this is where it happened so basically she came after her father's de4th to try to save him
@@brandonreed09 she took elgins eyes should have took one of his fingers or nails elgin was a very good kid he was just manipulated but he will live his hand will probably be fine and he might get an eye patch just hope things turn out right for him for once
This show, while not the most amazing, is underrated. Not enough coverage on YT or anywhere online. Which is weird because it's internet theory worthy with all the mystery.
It doesn't make sense to me why the man in yellow would come for Jim. He wasn't the ine playing the melody or remembered anything (unless he was the sacrifice Jade and Tabitha had to pay for remembering) But it could also be that the man would never have killed Jim and Julie was there to change something else. The man in yellow also said something about knowledge coming at a price. I think its more likely he was talking to Julie and Jim was the sacrifice Julie had to pay for something that would happen in the future. That would also mean that Julia HAS the ability to change the past, she also threw the rope down to Boyd in her first story walking experience, maybe that was supposed to happen, maybe it wasn't, or maybe it was just "optional". I feel like that already chanved the timeline to what we are now experiencing in the show.
@@XD-uo2cumy thoughts exactly. Remember when Victor was a kid ppl died on the street, not inside any house. Why would all those people be walking around during the night? They weren't. I bet something killed them in broad daylight.
A reoccurring theme in this show is to breaks people's hope. The man in yellow warned Jim to stop his wife and he didn't. Julie wasn't sure where her dad dies just that he does. Think it was Christifer or someone who started killing people in the day time when they drove him into madness. Their's also Boyd's wife that started killing people because she thought it was a dream.
Love FROM, they film it locally nearby to where I live and am totally hooked on this show. Great interview with Ricky, hope Nova Scotia is a nice change of scenery from beautiful B.C.!
i think the weird statue that every people know who stand in front of the cabin while searching vegetables is the new talisman for the yellow jacket man
Also I'm not sure if we are dealing with actual reincarnation here. Jade mentioned the whole thing about the law of thermodynamics. What if people's souls and memories just remain and linger and can't escape the village either and eventually posess people.
@@mattgilbert7347 I understand that that is the indication given, but as I said, it could be explained the way I did as well. Nothing in this show is certain tbh
So, we still don't know why these immortal monsters torment and kill the denizens of the town. Is it part of a continuous sacrifice? Or have they been so twisted by sacrificing their own children for immortality that they kill merely for fun? And who created the talismans? Maybe more than just Tabitha and Jay are reincarnated versions of themselves. Maybe Ethan or Julie made the them. And why did Tabitha get pushed out of the lighthouse only to return with Henry?
I'll try to answer your questions cuz it's fun: 1 - they do that because they're bad people. They sacrificed children for their own good, they were bad from the start. Guess they didn't even care about turning into monsters; 2 - who created the talisman? Probably someone in the past that understood the nature of the evil of the town and got to know some indigenous form of repelling it; not very important IMHO 3 - why did Tabitha got out? To understand she's Miranda. Henry had information that no one else had, and things like the paintings and the bracelet. It was the only way for her to figure out stuff needed to close this cycle. Hope this helped!
the monsters kill because the emotions of the people in the town feed the entity controlling everything, tabitha came back because she was the proof that it was possible to escape
@wintertrooper7918 dude, stop this "the entity feeds on hope" affirmation like it's an universal truth. If it feeds on hope why TF would they kill everyone except Victor? Which hope did they have to feed back them? Just because some crazy dead woman allegedly say that, it doesn't make it true. There's no such a thing as "feeding on hope", Victor probably was pretty damn hopeless as a child with all those bodies to burry, the entity should've died from hunger of hope if this was the case, don't you think?
This whole time we’re thinking Tabitha, Jade, Julie, and Victor are the keys to the story, but it’s really Jim…without Jim, Tabitha and Jade don’t figure out what the numbers mean…everytime the phone rings in the town Jim is the one who answers…why did the Man in yellow kill Jim and not Tabitha, Julie, or Jade…he’s the anomaly in the whole story
I have a theory Jim could had something to do with his baby son’s death. I haven’t worked it out full yet but I have a feeling it’s got something to do what’s going on
The Man in the Yellow Jacket is probably a version of "The King in Yellow," a.k.a. Hastur, and Fromville is essentially Carcosa. In the lore, Carcosa is another dimension that people get trapped in, and it's described to be full of twisting trees. I think it has to be the reference Lindelof is making.
Julie being able to time jump is nuts thats why that monster asked her did she remember him, and that's why the man in the cave knew her name Julie probably has been there to fix shit multiple times but only the beings in the town remember
I wonder who is gonna find Jim's body because future Julie clearly knows he's dead but didn't know howe it happened until she tried to go back in time and save him
@XD-uo2cu he was soo great in season 1 too...and then he went on not to believe the crazy town stuff but he was the one who cracked the music notes mystery. Ig that's the reason he was killed
I feel like Jim was the missing piece to “break the cycle” even tho Tabitha and jade have been there over and over again. Jim wasn’t there. His kids weren’t. So it’s going to be different. I feel like they are the key to this show. That’s why he was killed. Cuz when he tries he gets to something n the man in the yellow suit was like nope nope
@@cvmnancita3826 but imagine him taking all that news altogether u cld see the actor portraying it through his expressions. They were spot on and when the man in yellow entered the scene he went into fight or flight mode.. It was definitely fight and keeping his daughter safe
I loved Jim. I think people forget in season 1 when Jim heard the man on the phone and then hearing Thomas on the phone. Jim made it clear that he wouldn't allow the games of the town play on his emotions. I am really sad that he passed
My question is what about the teenage boy that asked Julie if he remembered him when they were chasing her to colony house.I don’t think he would be a parent that sacrificed his child
@ teen pregnancy is possible, but I said I don’t think he would be a parent who sacrificed his child. We only saw him once, and he was focused on Julie. He’s the youngest monster that we have seen.
I think he had already seen or known Julie because if she is this time traveler, it’s possible that she went back in time to some event and met him there, which is why he’s asking if she remembers him, and probably thats why martin known her name too
This show is not all about horror, grief played a huge part and some gut wrenching scenes definitely brought tears to my eyes remind me of recent lost ones.

You didn't cover episode by episode but I'm so glad you're covering the season.
Honestly, not enough going on to do episode by episode. Mid season kinda dragged.
Ok I was thinking the same lol
same thought they was lacking 😅
That's a good analysis. So instead of becoming monsters, they just reincarnated
@@moniquem3738so what are the monsters and why did they end up there. And who created that place n why 😂😂. Who’s the yellow jacket man
@@Tony-l9g7ythey did say on the show the monsters were all original town members who sacrificed (their?) children to become immortal.
If they play this right, "From" could easily become one of the greatest shows ever made!
That's a bit of a stretch. It is a great show but I wouldn't go that far.
it's probably a show of total 12 episodes, the writer are just stretching isbas much as they can. If they made it as limited series probably yes.
They havent been playing it right for years now. They cant finally do 1 episode that explains a couple things and we forget about the thousands of BS questions they spent 20 hours on feeding us through annoying writing
@@vivant8739I was thinking the same. They are just dragging this out
I don't think so too many times they didn't necessarily explain where they were going and just hopped to some other thing like this guy in the yellow just comes out of nowhere completely changes the aspect of the show and kills Jim in the middle of the day after playing some songs that no one even talked about for 3 seasons
Last week I said I doubted if we were gonna get any answers besides Fatima's baby in the finale. I've never never been so happy to be wrong in my life!
More content about From, please! I don't like how few UA-camrs do recaps of this show. You're the man for the job, Paul 👍
Btw having Ricky openly talk about theories is kinda cool. Adds credence to his proclamation that he doesn't know more than us until Season 4 shooting starts
Mannn, I wish you would've done breakdowns for each episode. This show is really good and deserves all the praise it's been getting.
I wish this channel would cover this show weekly but I appreciate the coverage none the less.
So glad you’re reviewing this. I was going to put in a request, I love hearing your thoughts and Theory Times 😂
We had 5 episodes of info spread across 10. This show is good but so much time was wasted this season. Glad they renewed it because they’re really dilly dallying with the story
I definitely agree with you but somehow I keep coming back to this mess 😂
Agreed. Nothing important ever seems to happen until the end of each episode. The rest is just talking and useless stuff for the most part. I wish they’d show us some cool stuff happen between the residents and the monsters a lot more. But instead, we get people sitting at the diner or walking down the street.
The producers said they have a 5 season plan for the series... so we should have 2 more seasons left that are for sure.
That's my biggest gripe with the series. We are three seasons in and we have barely scratched the surface of understanding what's what
is LOST all over again.
This show has so much connections in Fullmetal alchemist, in FMA people was also sacrifice for immortality, there's nightmare creatures type of entities, there's homunculus, big bads middle bad, heroes
True it’s similar …that’s my favourite anime
@@harshad007 same i love that show
FMA Brotherhood is a masterful anime. One of the best.
About time!!! I’ve been wondering when you would breakdown this show!
I have been thinking the exact same thing!
😂 did anyone else notice Elgin holding back his laughing at Boyd when he was going through his bag of tricks?? Wish I could see the outtakes. 😂😂😂
They really got me in the end. i thought the dude after credits was making talismans and it was a prequel show 😢
Finished the last episode last night and my wife said the exact same thing. She was like - "Oh is this dude busy making the talismans."
@zaynephillips5438 Yh mgn advertising their other shows like that not giving us a second to take in what happen in from is not cool.
Heeeyyyy Sarah Sarah.... Whatever will be will be 😂

😂😂😂... I love these comments...
Ricky He is the man. I want to see him in a million movies and shows, please.
When Tabitha went to Victor's dad's house, in the basement with all the paintings...there's a painting of the Man in Yellow
Great point with the viewer mindset after a character dies…it feels like the actor is gone even if they continue to appear as ghosts or in flashbacks.
Hahha I swear I do it all the time. So many shows where actors have returned for multiple seasons but I just view them as being gone forever.
You guys have great chemistry. Looking forward to Ricky's return!
“My blood is your blood now” damn Martin wasn’t lying lol
I feel like Julie may be able to change some things in the past. Mainly because she was in the physical form, Jim could touch, here, and see her. This is not usually common in film when a character doesn't physically visit the past.
and thats why jim died... in next episode julie will go back again , but this time wont call jim , and he will be alive
noone will know julie can go back the entire new season , just watch
Bruhhh I’m so mad I didn’t know you was reviewing this I love this channel
A lot of channels aren’t mentioning the fact that Jade and Tabitha came back to the town at the same time with the two cars
Oh that's a nice catch.
Great interview, Ricky seems like an awesome guy!
I think the first episode of season four will be a flashback to how the towns people were before the man in yellow othered them eternal life… I think the towns people may have cannibalised the children as there’s this big hint towards people drinking blood and the monsters biting people.
im so glad u started covering this show lol love ur reviews !!!
This was the best breakdown and analysis of the show
Thank you 🙏
Great video and great interview man!!! This was a great finale and I’m hyped for season 4!!! Smileys back baby! This season was overall solid, had some slow points but overall a solid one and we finally got a couple answers.
Thanks mate
Ayeeeee I been begging you for this post
When he said that Boyd was Batman and Kenny was robbing that was a perfect analogy!!! 👌
I swear this show better not end the same way as the show “Lost”. Please end in a rewarding way.
Right!!!!!
Yeees our smiley monster is back! I said he had to come back and so happy he did.
He was only in this show for a little while, but he probably was always coming back?
I like this notion
Why did he say your wife shouldn't be digging a hole?
What would the cost of her going back in time to throw the rope down to Boyd?
@@curlz_line7068 maybe to let us, the audience know it was him on the phone?
I think this man doesn't want the children to be saved, he warned Jim to watch out his wife but Jim just helped her more which made this man come and k him
If u this abt it Julie said i think this is where it happened so basically she came after her father's de4th to try to save him
24:02 bro i love it that kenny is a comic book guy like we are, just makes me love the character so much more
Sarah is the hero we never expected.
Sarah has been an MVP since she saved Boyd's life by sending him into the Farway Tree.
@@brandonreed09 she took elgins eyes should have took one of his fingers or nails elgin was a very good kid he was just manipulated but he will live his hand will probably be fine and he might get an eye patch just hope things turn out right for him for once
@@CallMePerro To be honest they didn't need to do any of that. They should have just followed Elgin once they suspected him of having her.
But she didn't do it in time, she gave birth regardless.
Love that you've done a From breakdown Paul!
I think it’s a creature from the past! It’s from the time when the castle was still standing where the guy who is chained up is from
This show, while not the most amazing, is underrated. Not enough coverage on YT or anywhere online. Which is weird because it's internet theory worthy with all the mystery.
Kenny has a Glen vibe
When tabitha got the phone call that distracted her when thomas fell off the changing table, i feel like it was from fromville
Dude YES! I didn’t know you were breaking down From! This show is amazing!
It doesn't make sense to me why the man in yellow would come for Jim. He wasn't the ine playing the melody or remembered anything (unless he was the sacrifice Jade and Tabitha had to pay for remembering)
But it could also be that the man would never have killed Jim and Julie was there to change something else.
Cuz Jim told them about the numbers plus he was alone
Maybe this man will go to the village after he's done with Jim and go after Jade and Tabitha
@@Interdactedthat was not a human, didnt you see its strenght and how it just slit jims throat like nothing?
Love FROM, they film it locally nearby to where I live and am totally hooked on this show. Great interview with Ricky, hope Nova Scotia is a nice change of scenery from beautiful B.C.!
i think the weird statue that every people know who stand in front of the cabin while searching vegetables is the new talisman for the yellow jacket man
he is beast bro, not human because very strong
Nice theory!

From has quickly become one of my favourite shows
The boy in white is the chained up man that tells Julie to throw down the rope
How’d you come to this conclusion?
@@grantdagenius what was dog mistary
Finding out you are now covering my favorite show has made me so happy bro, I even told my fiancée lol. Love your content bro.
Also I'm not sure if we are dealing with actual reincarnation here. Jade mentioned the whole thing about the law of thermodynamics. What if people's souls and memories just remain and linger and can't escape the village either and eventually posess people.
Tabitha and Jade are reincarnated. They have been reincarnated many times. they keep coming back, over and over.
@@mattgilbert7347 I understand that that is the indication given, but as I said, it could be explained the way I did as well. Nothing in this show is certain tbh
@@RoyalBacknot the indication. It's explicitly told. Also, Tabitha had visions about the town even before she got there.
Tabitha had nightmares as a little girl so most definitely reincarnation
If it was possession it seems like they would've remembered and got answers way faster. Also Tabitha made that bracelet in different lifetimes.
Great work Ricky!
I'll try to answer your questions cuz it's fun:
1 - they do that because they're bad people. They sacrificed children for their own good, they were bad from the start. Guess they didn't even care about turning into monsters;
2 - who created the talisman? Probably someone in the past that understood the nature of the evil of the town and got to know some indigenous form of repelling it; not very important IMHO
3 - why did Tabitha got out? To understand she's Miranda. Henry had information that no one else had, and things like the paintings and the bracelet. It was the only way for her to figure out stuff needed to close this cycle.
Hope this helped!
They eat them.. and feed on the fear and adrenaline
the monsters kill because the emotions of the people in the town feed the entity controlling everything, tabitha came back because she was the proof that it was possible to escape
@Henrique.Souza0601 it's not just hope but all emotions, fear, anger hope, all that good stuff
Ending Scene: (Jim Dies)
The Audience: "That wig is horrid"
The priest character is a stand up comedian in real life that's crazy!
I mean it makes sense to not tell the cast members so there are no spoilers or leaks. If I was on this show, I would appreciate that 😁
This whole time we’re thinking Tabitha, Jade, Julie, and Victor are the keys to the story, but it’s really Jim…without Jim, Tabitha and Jade don’t figure out what the numbers mean…everytime the phone rings in the town Jim is the one who answers…why did the Man in yellow kill Jim and not Tabitha, Julie, or Jade…he’s the anomaly in the whole story
I have a theory Jim could had something to do with his baby son’s death. I haven’t worked it out full yet but I have a feeling it’s got something to do what’s going on
ethan answered the phone the last time
The Man in the Yellow Jacket is probably a version of "The King in Yellow," a.k.a. Hastur, and Fromville is essentially Carcosa. In the lore, Carcosa is another dimension that people get trapped in, and it's described to be full of twisting trees. I think it has to be the reference Lindelof is making.
Ricky is one of us
I only found out about this show a couple weeks ago.
I love that you're covering it!!!!!
Julie being able to time jump is nuts thats why that monster asked her did she remember him, and that's why the man in the cave knew her name Julie probably has been there to fix shit multiple times but only the beings in the town remember
You're right
Totally make sense now!
Thank for this interview. I love this show!!
I don’t think the writers even know what they’re writing anymore
Are you insane? They've known what they wanted all the way from season 1. There's been tons of foreshadowing.
So cool to see the Heavy Spoilers voice (my first time) and OMG, they got Kenny!
I wonder who is gonna find Jim's body because future Julie clearly knows he's dead but didn't know howe it happened until she tried to go back in time and save him
The idea for a full episode dedicated to the original sacrifice is brilliant, futur 10/10 incoming.
Idk why ppl are hating on Jim he was one of the best characters out there what a character arc
agree! He was great, protected his family and tried his best to find a way out there. Such a sad thing he's gone
Awe yall should of done every episode of from!!! It’s the best show on tv atm
this show has some of the tallest, cliffiest, cliff hangers of any show i can think of.
My question is what about the teenage boy that asked Julie if he remembered him when they were chasing her to colony house.I don’t think he would be a parent that sacrificed his child
Ikr, he looks like a teenager.
teen pregnancy?
@ teen pregnancy is possible, but I said I don’t think he would be a parent who sacrificed his child. We only saw him once, and he was focused on Julie. He’s the youngest monster that we have seen.
I think he had already seen or known Julie because if she is this time traveler, it’s possible that she went back in time to some event and met him there, which is why he’s asking if she remembers him, and probably thats why martin known her name too
This show is not all about horror, grief played a huge part and some gut wrenching scenes definitely brought tears to my eyes remind me of recent lost ones.
The man in yellow is Ethan...He wears that yellow jacket in the first season and he is just creepy AF
