There is a small mistake in the video. When I'm painting the highlights it says the colour Pallyd Witch Flesh is from Vallejo, it obviously isn't. It should say Citadel of course. Sorry if this causes confusion to anyone and THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Is there a good mix for this color using either Vallejo, or other Citadel paints? Trying to use what I have - guessing an ivory with just the slightest hint of both green & gray might work to copy the Pallyd Witch Flesh
@@huckpott man, both rakarth flesh and pallid wych flesh are really hard to imitate. I prefer Vallejo colours myself and I don't know of any substitute in their range. I just buy the gw paints in this case.

Just a quick question. This looks really fantastic for batch painting but I find the contrast paints sometimes end up looking a little ‘shiny’. Is there anything you recommend? Matt varnish at the end? Cheers
SO GREAT! Can I ask a quick breakdown of the paints used on the robe? I love the contract between the rich orange cloth and the stinking rotten flesh. EXCELLENT!
If I recall correctly that was basically Gryph-Hound Orange and Fyreslayer Flesh onnthe recesses. I can't remember what I used to Highlighting it sorry
Can you give me any advice on painting my mantic, kings of War zombies when it comes to what type of prime job to give them? All grey, all white or zenithal? I plan on painting them using only citadel contrast paints if that helps. Thank you and great video. 👍
This is a really good tutorial, im going to paint my pox walkers this way as its just really quick and easy with great results. The Poxwalkers have bony protrusions on some of the models how would you tackle the transitions from rotting flesh to this?
Mmmm good question. I would probably Highlight as usual and then do glazes of Agrax Earthsade towards the top of the spikes to build up a darker colour in the tip and then a bit of Nuln Oil just in the very tip. I think that would work well
Hey Juan, I have a question if you don't mind. Would this method work with an airbrush? I have a very large model and I want to avoid stains and make my life easier with an airbrush (Archaon Mount converted into a zombie dragon). Have a nice day!
Magnífico tutorial, gracias. Una pregunta ¿Cuál es el nombre del pintor que recomiendas al principio del vídeo? Es que no doy con la tecla de cómo se escribe su nombre 😅
This is a great recipe, been looking for something that will quickly get a couple hundred zombies and ghouls onto the table for KoW. I think I'll follow this, though restrict the highlights to the face only for the front rank, in the interest of time.
Oh yes, this is absolutely perfect for that kind of job. My personal recommendation is to pre mix a large amount of the wash in empty pots or bottles so you don't loose time mixing it. And yes, for that amount of minis and using multibasing that would be perfect! Btw you have a good taste in games! 😁
I don't understand why when I do my washes in Athonian Comoshades and Reikland Fleshade I get a shiny / varnish look that doesn't fade after drying. What am I doing wrong?
JuanHidalgo Miniatures interesting. I might give it a go. Not sure how it will turn out but how else will I sort it out? What is your reddit handle if you have one?
JuanHidalgo Miniatures nope. Bad results lol. Tried zenithal (used standard mechanicus grey as my dark base, Corax zenith and 45 degrees followed by skeleton horde for your bone coloured armour.) I won’t try this again. Contrast is clearly designed for a light, even base since it’s doing the shading for you. Thanks!

No, I haven't but stay tuned for the Cursed City series

Just started painting a week ago and I have a begininer question: what is "medium?"
Médium is essentially paint without pigment, so it's used to dilute paint without loosing it's properties

Not shaking your shades enough. Make sure there is NO residue in the bottom of the pot, that residue is the matting agent
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Thank you very much !!!

Yes it's a thinner, medium is basically Acrylic paint without any pigment in it. My favourite and the one used here is Lahmian Medium by Citadel
