Definitely the "Hay Day" of Glamis Duning, before the Shit hit the Fan in '99-00...WAYYY more Motorcycles and Individual Quad & 3 Wheel riders...Loved the line at the Pay phone..And it seemed the weather was Always nicer during the Holidays than it is now...Great Video 👍🇺🇸

Thank you sooooo much for posting this. Got this on VHS when I was 9 years old (1992) and probably watched it 1,000 times (not exaggerating). This video just feels like the childhood I spent in the dunes. Thought I'd never see this again. Truly, THANK YOU for posting this gem!

Glamis in the 80’s and 90’s was the best! In my opinion it was so much better back then compared to today. It wasn’t as insanely busy.
The good ol' days of duning, miss those days. Waking up to the smell of 2 stroke fuel and partying like a rock star. The parties at competition, man the memories.

Wow, talk about a walk down memory lane. I grew up going to Glamis starting in the late 70's and have been going my entire life. Kind of odd seeing a video like this and not a single long travel car or UTV. Nice seeing the old Competition Hill before "the man" closed us down.

Used to go in the 90's a lot. Last trip was 95 then I got married, bought a house, kids etc.... life happened. Friends still go so I got the itch again recently and will be doing my first trip in 2 weeks on a 2007 XR650r I picked up a few months back. Should be interesting since I'm 51 now. Last time I was in my mid 20's and rode an XR600r. I did do a day trip on it thanksgiving weekend out at Ocotillo. I was surprised how quickly it all came back and I was in a lot better shape than I thought I was.
Headed there this week, gonna be a good one!
Ahhh the nostalgia. Back when it was fun and enjoyable. We used to go every chance we got for 20+ years. It's just too crowded on the holiday weekends to enjoy it, always wondering if your going to get smashed by a sandrail/side by side drunk person or inexperienced careless individual. When you ride all day and cant dune to find virgin sand it's time to sell the toys and go put meat in the freezer.
I still go on off weekends mostly

That Easter 1990 was my last trip before I went into the navy. My next trip was I think 98 99
damn right before i started going in 93 things were alot different then alot less crowded lil more wild.more fun less expensive.

It hurts to know that I was just a child when this absolute golden age was going on not only in Glamis but across the entire nation. Now, as an adult, I have to face the sickening reality of race riots, pride parades and all other manner of absolute hellscape.
