Goddammit, Mike...I remember talking to him at the methadone clinic, and he said that he couldn't remember how to play Chains' songs anymore. We both cried. I hope you've found peace, brother. I'll love and miss you forever.
Justin Friedeck Idk what the first part of your comment means. But if God exists, I hope Layne and Mike are with him. Im selfish, though, and I want them here with me still. Layne and Mike were very good friends of mine, and it took many years before I could listen to Chains again after Layne passed. I just hope they've found peace wherever they are. They were both such beautiful humans and didn't deserve to die as they did. But they live on in the hearts and souls of so many, and their music will forever bring joy to the world...so it's not ALL bad.

I pray things are going well for you, and I'd love to hear more about your friendships with Layne and Mike.
The real shame of it is his choice to engage in the drugs that ultimately lead to his death. He’s not some “tragic hero” as many people like to paint him. He’s an incredibly talented individual who died way before he should have because he made a series of very destruction choices.
@@aeromedical6750 In fairness most people and fans know this. It’s only true idiots that think he sacrificed himself for rock. However I also know you don’t just stumble into heroin it usually comes after trauma or mental health problems. Either way he is truly missed as a person.
