Same problem here. I pulled the ICM and the CEM and checked all inside and out, cleaning all contacts. A lot of work. No help, still does not work. Wires in back of radio and at power amp all look good. Nice and clean connectors. All fuses test good.
I have the same exact issue. I replaced the ICM with no luck. I also have intermittent A/C issues. There seems to be a problem with the low speed network that communicates with the ICM. I will report back.
Did anyone ever figure this problem? I have the exact same issue, volume won’t work, menu options work but as soon as I press scan it shuts off, and the enter button doesn’t work
Soo guess we all just have to get use to the idea of driving xc70 and xc90 whit out a radio nobody knows what to do or what’s the problem il try to install a after market one and see how it goes

@@souhaelgahmi5419 Hello, I have the same trouble. I find a new genuine radio running perfectly on another xc90 and sat up on my xc90. It is not running as a result I don't think it is a problem related to the hardware of the radio. Some other idea? KS
For me worked after all… i own 4 xc90s for parts so i replace 2 amps from under passanger seat norhing happend , then i replace fuse nr9 (10amps) cd charger made some moves but still nothing , then i tryed the radio antena … still nothing … After all i replaced the 3rd amp and surprise works perfectly But i think might work other 2 amps if i let the battery disconected for 30 min , like i did for last amp
now i didn't but as i remember my oem amp broke down when i was looking for some fuses and i removed amp fuse ...since then the oem stared to make problems is recomended to remove the + from the battery and should be leave like that for 2 -3 minutes @@EwBucky
I bought a new radio and I has the same problem. I controled the Pre-amplifier and I discovered a wire disconnected because they were water coming for the windows. I repair the connection and I check the fuse and I discovered the fuse related to the radio was not at the appropriate position. I manage it and after it is perfectly running. Enjoy!
So the problem was a default of power of the radio. There are two different sources of power. One for the radio+cd and one for control panel including the air conditionning system

The said that there is a problem with ICM and maybe with the amplifier (I suppose this one under passenger's seat). But they didn't tell me a specific solution. Did you solve this? I would appreciate to your help.

I have a new radio and nothing works disconnect the battery for 2 hours and reconnect did work again

This is a common problem with this radio. You need to replace the capacitors in the ICM.
What is icm? I dont understand english

Did you disconnect the battery before changing the amp? I changed the head unit, amp & radio itself & nothing worked so far
