I absolutely love Crystal Project - it's easily top 3 games of all time for me personally. I have completed a variety of challenges on it by now, and just beating this on Hard with no restriction is already quite the challenge without further restrictions. So getting to the point you did, is quite excellent, no complaints
There's a lot more little and side things to the game, a lot to learn, and a lot to know. So instead of giving any hints or tips and tricks, I would be happy if you could just explore the game some more - maybe even leaving the restrictions behind for now, and maybe returning to this later when you're more experience. I'd be curious on how you'd fare ^^

I left out a lot from the vid, otherwise it would be a 2 hours video lol. But I am still really excited to try this game again! I was thinking of dropping the difficulty to normal for my existing file just so i could see the end, i wanna know what happens to Astley!
good run attempt. you got pretty lucky with the random class selections. even considering the single character advanced classes. a lot of the later classes would likely have the tools needed to handle those tougher bosses. anyway, good job.

This is what I really want to see, the spotlight on games that really deserve it. Please keep doing runs with this game! When you exhaust all the default game options, you can always check out the workshop. There is actually a Final Fantasy Fiesta mod that is a total conversion of the game's classes to FF< which may be a bit boring but I think the nuances in how you engage with the game I think is worth it :)
The positive responses on less popular games is pretty substantial, and I definitely want to keep doing them.
Without spoiling anything, there MAY be a game changing way to beat neo warden. There are stuffs involving quintar (I won't delve further than this) that can benefit this run.
Either way, that was a good run you did there. There are definitely TOO few people covering this gem, it's damning.

This game was so much Fun. Only down side to this game was not being able to enjoy it for the first time again.
Thats kind of funny, I was thinking the same thing; however with my particular play through, i think ill have more fun the 2nd time because ill have access to more classes with what i have in mind.

You keep mentioning about the limitations of your locked classes and how some bosses were unkillable but your classes were actually excellent and very capable of beating all bosses encountered. Chemist warlock rogue are enough and any random 4th
Might of been a gear issue then.
@@azuremistkingdom perhaps, but also some usage of abilities, like when iguanadon gained his massive damage buff, you could have removed it with dispel with warlock and fought him normally i believe.
In any case, loved this video, and would love to see a full lets play of the game on hardmode without restrictions. Im sure others feel the same
I'm enjoying this game so much. I don't even I'm at the part where I need to. I just unlock the Ninja and it's like picking class combos is so hard. There's so many options. I don't want really a dedicated healer because I feel like I need healing and clutch moments but I don't need healing like all the time. I'm using a chemist Hunter because that combo is super cool. My tank is a health tank and it's a reaper warrior, My magic user right now is a shaman scholar.. and then I have one more character. That's currently I'm trying to make some kind of like battle mage some combining nomad with dervish and I feel like that's not good enough because I feel like a nomad monk would be really powerful. I don't know. I don't know. I want it to be a magical damage dealer, not a physical one
This game was a ton of fun. Hunting down super bosses was a blast. Even if they often require some pretty specific strategies to clear. But hey, when you have a game with a class swapping mechanic, might as well take full advantage of that.

@@azuremistkingdom There's no such thing as broken in this game. The game is the most tightly balanced of virtually any RPG. The strongest class is summoner. Mimic is really good but suffers with stats
ive been obsessed with this game since christmas, beat it about two weeks ago and have been messing with modding. you keep playing this ill keep watching.

I just bought this game on switch the other day. Love it! It's essentially Final Fantasy V on steroids. This type of class system makes for great replay value. Hoping you do another challenge run! Or possibly talk more about the classes themselves? Either way, glad more folks are talking about this one!

Thanks! Glad you got it, it truly is a gem. I will 100% do another run of this game eventually. On top of that, I really do enjoy the "smaller" games as well because there's usually not any guides out there and/or challenge runs; like the solo Lost Sphear/I Am Setsuna runs I did was all me trying to figure it out as anything out there was for a full party.
and btw, their discord is super helpful if you get stuck or have questions- I also added a general walkthrough of which areas to go to in the description of the video.

@@tabrissousac9895 The salmon race isnt winnable until you get the salmon mount, from there you can come in first- takes awhile though

I don't think so. Crystal Project is available on PC/Mac/Linux/Switch that I know of.
@azuremistkingdom ok. I have the Switch emulator Yuzu for my Android phone. Hopefully, I can find a copy of this game that'll actually work.
What site did you use for the random job generator?
I just googled "random name generator" and found "wheel of names" then plugged in the classes.
@azuremistkingdom thanks, I can use this for my Final Fantasy Tactics 5 Job Feista playthrough. (Not doing the official challenge, just a solo playthrough, meaning just for fun by myself. Still gonna use only 5 random jobs.)

@@azuremistkingdom It'll be my 4th file. 1st is my normal main file, 2nd is my Monster only party run, 3rd is my SCC Dark Knight team only run, 4th will be the "5 job fiesta run."
