One of the best things I’ve heard and experienced for improving your aim is centering as cliche as that sounds. Optic Dash said something on stream that I’ve practiced over the last year. Went from plat to crim. He basically said you want to always have your crosshair or center dot on the enemy before you even aim in. Doing this helps hit shots and it makes you feel extremely snappy. It’s a lot of practice to get used like that but I’m almost positive most pro/ semi pro player implement the same sort of idea
I've been on mouse and key for nearly 28 years, never played shooters with a controller, well I tried but man no comment lol. Sometimes I wish I could be remotely decent like some of you guys are just to see what it's like on the other side, I'm so used to mnk the logics of aiming with a thumbstick I cannot grasp and I've tried. There's alot of hate on controller vs mnk players and maybe controller isn't for me but as a lifelong mnk user people that are good like this with controllers I raise my hat to, aim assist aside you still need to get the crosshairs on target before it kicks in and to me it's mindboggling how some of you can do this so naturally, quickly and accurately. Respect.
ex 20+ years of mnk player here... Controller is the move my man i switched recently and i'm already getting to crim after only playing on the input for a month. (my max was diamond on mnk)
im the opposite, i used controller all my life and suck ass on keyboard and mouse for everything, ive been using it for a few years now. I still use controller for things but when i play on my pc i usually use mouse. props to yall idk how ya do it
Well this will make you giggle, I am a top 10 UK drone racing pilot. I use a six-axis controller to fly the drone. However when it comes to gaming, I can't use a controller. Mouse and keyboard all the way.
Ong this comment a big w. I see alot of player and by alot I mean like 3 ppl complain about aim assist in game, and it's crazy how they say controllers are for ppl with no skill and bla, bla. It's nice seeing an mnk player say they respect aim assist players
what also helps wiht that flicking is to move in the oppite direction in where you are to aim so you want to aim right you move left and aim right you may need get used to it but this also also wiht the aim assit it will keep you on taget by doing so so you get like rotainial aim assit this way
As a irri on multiplayer bo6, just hit a private match with bots for an hour and slide and kill, after playing the game for 6+ hours your aim will be cracked
Rotational aim assist is best activated by strafing side to side while ADS. Has nothing to do with moving the opposite direction of where your target is. Strafe will activate it regardless of direction.
The best aiming tip I every got was in your eyes. Where you look and how you focus your eyes will make all the difference in higher skill levels. You have to imagine you’re pulling your target into the middle of your screen, rather than moving your gun towards the target. Focal point around the cross hair and using your peripheral to draw the target towards the center.

i was doing this once i started using aimlab with my controller. its kind of hard to do while actually in a gunfight so the compromise i have been doing is when flicking as I get close to the target instead of releasing the thumbstick i gently press down on it as if trying to melee, only obviously not actually clicking in. helps to control overshooting your target
20+ year MNK player here. I have realized that being a casual player is going to require moving to controller if i dont want to lose every close range fight. Thanks for these videos i am going to work on this and let you know hownit goes. I might be too set in my ways to convert, but I am going to try. Thanks for the breakdown
Bro you gotta do a snipers video, i know the best way to get good at snipers is to practice but hearing you explain flicking like this makes me wonder what are smaller adjustments i should do w snipers.
Yo dude I encourage you to try out a game called Arma Reforager, It's available on PC Xbox and PlayStation and is a totally different experience. Idk I just think it'll be cool if you make a video on it :)
Recently I turned off crosshairs and only have center dot now on my screen. Hip fire can be a bit dodgy sometimes but it has helped tremendously with my centering and snapping onto targets
Fav content creator for COD all time always makes me give the game a boot to try the techniques, ive avoided buying B06 as its networking and hackers make game shit, but wanna be ready for verdansnk your video will push me to buy it.. thanks again for great content dream
I'm still gonna stick to K&M. I got better results with controller, but I just love the feeling of mouse aiming. I would just love to be able to choose, if I play with other K&M freaks, or Controller players.
My impression is that Dynamic does this. He's a max sens, technically a one frame flicker on controller. Strongly encourage you to check his stuff out.
It’s probably best to do it without aim assist, but if your aim isn’t the best, it might be better to start with aim assist on and once you get more comfortable, then turn the Aim assist off

ive been tracking my thumb for the last couple weeks and i went in detail as such as bending my thumb or moving my hand up the controller and i find when i have to reload i move my thumb and i quickly have to position my thumb back on the right thumb stick and my aim is all jagged
Console player warzone strafing speeds while firing your weapon is walking speed. Pc player in front of you dip dodge ducking and diving. Still feel like flicking in this tutorial 😢
Do you have any tips on how to move the left stick when shooting? Should i move the stick left when the person moves right? Some says move it in circles.
I am having a problem with aiming, when I aim down sight I my crosshair isn’t poointed on the enemy. Any suggestions on how to improve. Fyi, I tried improving latency
Hey I have a problem with my thumb placement I need help with recoil control but I can't because I don't know how much to pull and for me it's hard and when I pull down a little too much recoil and when I pull down too much it starts to go way down what im saying is idk where the (sweet spot) is
When console players looking like there stood still every gun fight in warzone omni movement would be a good idea o wait what's apex legends have then 😮
Let's be fair , compare to mnk , you have your full arm to aim , instead of one thumb , they only need to nerf it a bit , and make the mnk experience better
